Very simple, but the gameplay holds up!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD53 → Gold Deliveries

Very simple, but the gameplay holds up!
Simple but so efficient, would love to have a leaderboard with the score of everyone 😄
very good
I loved the movement. Felt really smooth Good job!
Simple and easy to play. Nice entry, maybe a timer could spice the things up and force the player to play a bit more agressively. But It's quite calm and cool that way too !
132. I enjoy your minimalism game. Very simple mechanic but fun. I would recommend adding some hp recovery etc.? The replayability is not too high so may be enable longer play each? Score rank may also be a good idea. Welcome to play my game too.
Cool came, simple controls and graphics. A leaderboard would have been great tho :P
i got 56!!! good job on the compo!!!
Simple and cute game. Nice job!
I like how you did all the graphics with spheres, it has a very nice style! The motion of the character is smooth and the gameplay is weirdly addictive
Good job ! what is your best score ?
@fabonacci Thank you! My best score is around 200.
I appreciate how the game is intuitive enough that a tutorial isn't even needed. I personally ended up getting a 173 my first run and a 250 my second. A simply but well done entry :) Screen Shot 2023-05-09 at 9.05.22 PM.png
Very fun little game! You even randomize the character colors. It would be nice to make it so items can't spawn on top of you.
Nice job! Smooth game play. Easy to get started.
Nice to see a game with a custom engine
Simple but solid mechanics! The game was fun to play, my high score was 164 gold collected.
The later stages of the game had mines sometimes spawning on top of the player, a possible improvement could be to "re-roll" the placement of a spawning mine if the distance to the player was too small.
The movement felt good, it was easy to navigate carefully around the mines, even through smaller gaps.
Like others have said, I like how smoothly the player moves. I also agree with Somnium about the mines spawning on top of you. Another solution I thought of is to have a little warning animation in the spot where a mine will spawn, that could lead to an exciting "whoa I gotta watch out!" moment.
Would have been nice if there was an end, a goal amount to collect. But otherwise it was an enjoyable mechanic
Making the player's hurtbox slightly smaller than the sprite can incentivise riskier play.
Simplicity is the key sometimes and this game demonstrates that well. I love how the player character looks and I really dig the movement, I appreciate the effort that went into it! Well done!
