very creative game, it reminds me of many of the fun games I used to play on cool math games when I got bored in elementary school, but it has a nice twist

The concept of having to sacrifice movement options to stay alive is quite interesting! I'm not very good at platforming unfortunately tho heh.
Nice concept! The animations felt good, specially when the blob touches the floor again after hopping. Graphics are nice, only the solid color as background didn't fit.
There are a few bugs involving collisions, for example, flying when you jump and hit the ceiling, or taking damage when a block has a sawblade by it's side and you fall halfway between then (you shouldn't take damage because you're over the block). Also, I found a fountain I wasn't able to collect.
@igor-kingamer Thanks for the feedback, I did see a few glitchy things with the collision as well - will have to go in a patch them.
Glad you enjoy the blob animation! we felt like it had a good level of bounciness to it as well!
@3bt @zeekza thanks for the comments, I was able to check out all of your guys games!
Nice game!! I really like the concept, and the music behind! I enjoyed playing it!! :D
Cool idea and cute animations! I couldn't quite figure out the shop, maybe I just didn't collect enough pickups.
The jelly fish was so cute, I like the old one the best, makes me reconsider swimming in the ocean haha.
Maybe it was just my aspect ratio but the UI for the bar wasn't showing unless I went full screen, then full screen it was covering a 2/5 of the game screen.
Had a lot of fun swimming and floating!
I think you have a really cool idea here, of becoming more capable as you get older, but also nearing death as you get older, and needing to balance the two. some puzzles require an older form, or some are much easier with an older form, but there's a risk of being older. it adds an element of suspense to exploration.
I was able to explore pretty far in certain parts of the level by getting as far as I could, waiting to age up, then continuing, which was fun, but, in general I didn't feel rewarded for finally getting to the least accessible areas. there would just be like a couple fountains to age me back down, and I was like "well what was the point of waiting to age up to be able to get up here, if all I get is aging back down". I think at the very least a big treasure trove of diamonds would have been nice, but ideally some kind of unique item / encounter. of course, it's a game jam, so that might be asking for too much.
also, at the very far left, upper area, I found a fountain that I couldn't activate by touching it, and a door with a key behind it, but no way of getting around to the side with the key.
I think it was not very clear what the block colors meant. it seems like there are a variety of colors of normal blocks, with no difference between them, and then some other blocks that are damage / death blocks. it was confusing to have damage / death blocks in addition to the spikes and gears, especially because death blocks look so similar to normal blocks. I think it would be clearer what is damaging if you kept all blocks as "safe" and just used them for visual variety, and only had hazards be non-block shaped.
overall, it was a pretty surreal experience, especially with the music. why all the spikes and gears? what's up with the fountains? it made me feel like I (the jelly) am some kind of lab experiment, trapped, eternally trying to not die by staying young.
I looked up Magellan, he's a Portuguese-born navigator? Is he related to Ponce de León? he didn't seem to be mentioned in anything related to the Fountain of Youth.
overall, nice work, I think you're on to something good here, if you refine the level design more! and of course, there's the built-in jankiness of unity physics. slippery on floors, sticky on walls, the opposite of good.
Great game! I really enjoyed it. 10/10
Changing your game after the deadline is against the rules (unless it's a game-breaking bug). If you're going to do that, you should publish your game in the new Extra format.
Jellyfish flying is OP, otherwise good time!
This entry was interesting and enjoyable, good job.
1.the store part makes me feel very good. 2.There's some point in the map that have lots of treasures, it's very incentive. 3.I can Long press Space to fly on the bottom of the wall , which is a hiden ability that I really like (bug though?)
The character design for the jelly was very cute, and I think you chose a very cute shade of pink. That said, I feel like the rest of the game has an incohesive color palette, and could be improved some. The music was also nice. - MPGF (mopi Girlfriend)
The poor little jelly guy died so fast, I didnt get to experience much! A little more leeway in that regard would've been great :) I enjoyed the handmade art, and would love to see more in the future. Good entry! - mopi
I have so much wanna say but let me yell this first JELLYS ARE SOOOOO CUTEEEEEEEE
The "flying" mechanic is great for platformer noobs like me. The original look at the idea - I got high.
Yes, I agree that the colors could have been better done. If you're not a pro, then it's a great tactic to steal colors from other projects. (Of course, it's better to analyze them and make them similar. But jams are very fast  ) Or just use ready-made "combinations" of colors. There are a lot of pictures with palettes on the Internet.
Another last stage of the jellyfish could be done faster. I think it would be more interesting.
Thank you for a great experience! You're cool!
I'm all for the games with good vibes, funky yet chill
Very clever idea. The simple platformer transformed into something pretty unique. Plus you had some time for the upgrades menu. Great job!
There are so many things here! I love the idea that you have to ugrade at the slime shop to get better and navigate the map. The slime is so cute, I love it so much. The little animation as it lands back down is really adorable.
I also really like the little health text that shows when you take damage, that's a really nice little detail!
Overall, really well done!
I liked the evolution through time concept and had fun playing this one. Some of the UI seemed a bit off target but it may have just been the full screen web version. Thanks for the game!
nice concept. funny and funky animations. was a bit too punishing for my taste but pretty polished entry all in all good game thanks for sharing
This was an interesting concept-having the player character shift over time, with unique controls for each phase makes for gameplay was a surprising amount of depth. The music aids in giving the game a very abstract feel, and I think the game lands a pretty good mood overall. I do think the game is a little too brutal in terms of difficulty, as it was hard to get the hang of things initially. This game would likely benefit from a kind of tutorial or introductory level that is smaller and simpler in scale. Despite that, this is a nicely executed game for this jam. Nicely done.
Good mood and pretty polished game ! Kind of frustrated because of my lack of skill lol.
