Tight Five: Still Alive by weeping-rupee 2023-05-09T20:24:58Z

Very nice! I love the attention to detail to bring TTS into it to actually deliver the lines you put together. :D

You crane do it! by crazyrems 2023-05-03T20:27:01Z

Neat game, very fun, had a great time swinging and hitting the boss with big metal bars... and bonus marks for the doggy!

Foxcrate by agentparsec 2023-05-09T19:31:45Z

absolutely adorable! I loved the art and animations; it was a nice relaxing vibe

Delivery out of order by stmatn 2023-05-03T19:57:11Z

Super cool! I was honestly surprised by the level of depth the puzzles and mechanics go into! Well done! :D

The Giggle Pit by jelch 2023-05-09T20:46:53Z

The underlying premise is really solid - all it really needs is fleshing out a bit... with a new gimick, or twist, etc., something that would make the game more engaging in the long run, and also make levels a little harder as you go on.

Really liked the concept though, so well done!

Hexpress by RunicPixels 2023-05-09T19:53:11Z

Very fun! The only criticisms I have are, like someone else mentioned, the direction indicator is quite easily missed when in the corner, and I often found myself naturally going towards the envelope as it looked more arrow-like  The only other thing is I sometimes found the font quite hard to read, but that might just be me.

Otherwise, a very fun little game!! :D

POST'HIT by PaulLyaudet 2023-05-09T20:01:16Z

I could play this for hours... honestly unbelievable that you made this in in only 72 hours. gg

XD Lines by Renard 2023-05-08T01:37:31Z

Very fun little game! I think it would benefit though from some penalty to just flying across the grassy hills lol. Otherwise, very impressive!

Post Haste by Manlok 2023-05-02T12:21:44Z

Very fun and unique! The only thing that was missing was being able to interact with the bell on the desk

Package Peril by RosyMaple 2023-05-09T20:08:15Z

It's a nice concept, with a lot of promise! I would love to see where this game could go if you continue to work on it! My only criticism as it is, is that the mouse sensitivity is a bit extreme.

I love the truck sound effects aha, and also how it handles - a spent a good while not even bothering with the parcels and just going about, drifting between the houses lol!

Postman Parcel Panic by J0ye 2023-05-09T20:31:38Z

A very fun and innovative game! I loved the music - it really made the vibe. Well done!

Mission Delete by jordantanner 2023-05-02T11:46:30Z

Great fun, the graphics, music and sfx are all on point... Will absolutely being playing again after ratings are over! The only thing is a few of the power ups might need a bit of balancing (or maybe I just got hilariously lucky lol)- I got Type I weapons shoot an extra bullet, then an enemy dropped quick spread for Type I, and that combination meant I could just hold left mouse button the entire game and just win LMAO

Regardless, lots of fun, great job! :D

Speedy Delivery Co. by kristinamay 2023-05-02T11:09:02Z

I really enjoyed this; I will unironically be coming back after the ratings are done to play more aha. The only thing it felt like it was missing to me was an explanation of what was classed as more efficient/better parcel layout. Great job :)

AstroParcel by Martynas 2023-05-09T20:40:26Z

Very difficult, but really fun, and felt very polished. The only thing that it felt like it was missing was some music and some background sound effects (wind, etc.) to just bring the world to life with a soundscape, but the core game itself was very good, well done!

Pizza Boss Rush 9000 by MrEliptik 2023-05-09T20:15:28Z

Very addicted, and incredibly polished! Great game! :D

Balloon Dropper by Anthony Katona 2023-05-09T21:00:18Z

A nice concept! It felt nicely polished at its core, but it really would benefit for a tutorial, or at least some instructions.

The music was really nice, but the sound effects were somewhat lost behind it- if they were brought out a bit more, maybe fleshed out with a bit more of a hearty wind sound and give the burner a bit of a roar, and I think it would have helped bring the experience to life a little more.

Either way, well done!

Skyfail Delivery by DrSlowpokePhd 2023-05-03T19:52:00Z

loved the graphic style- very dystopian!

Micro post mortem (take 2, thanks bsod), more so for feedback's sake, so I can be upfront with what I think sux.

The GFX lack any sense of polish (the menus are literally straight up just buttons-on-blue, and the levels themselves are very bare). The game would have benefitted from some nicer FX too (pulsing on the beat etc., that kinda thing), as well as SFX for keypresses.

I would have also liked a micro-story/an NCP to at least give context to the levels and their gimicks. E.g. I think it's hard to tell that the levels are supposed to be Plains, Desert, City, Space, Sea etc., and the '''''smog'''' / short-range visibility at 'night' gimicks are just entirely uncontextual. Some nonsensical NPC one-liner would've probably helped clear them up.

I think generally the game just needs a proper polishing and expansion upon 'the usual stuff', and originally the game was supposed to be for Jam, to give me an extra day to do that, but I could already feel silly-adhd-brain kicking in, and I know for a fact that if I had left it 'til tomorrow, I would've ended up losing all enthusiasm, not being motivated, and not submitting anything at all, even for Jam.

That said, I'll have to come back to this in the future as, for one of my first actually 'playably-complete' (if that makes sense) games, I'm pretty proud. :)

@defrag Yeah, I also avoid .exe versions where I can, and those that I do play I put in an isolated VM... shame the internet has to ruin the fun things along the way :pensive:

But thank you, I appreciate the feedback! Absolutely agree on the audio-feedback of hitting notes: that and having the boxes/truck/etc. pulse or beat when you hit too, but I ended up spending too much time trying to get the truck to beat in time and ran out for adding audio cues....... and I never did get that truck bouncin right

@josephgallear Thank you! I'm glad you picked up on the narrative I was going for... I had this idea in my head to add this very eccentric NPC 'boss' guy to actually deliver whatever silly narrative I came up with via one-liners at the start of each level, but just didn't have time in the end aha

Yyyeeeaaaaahhh guess I did make it a little hard huh  I'm so used to being terrible at rhythm games I just set my score as the pass mark, but I guess I didn't account enough for the fact I recorded the beat maps

I'll definitely have to test some more to see if I can get that -1 score bug (definitely not me just excusing the fact I'm low-key addicted myself lol)- My guess is that it's something to do with Unity not saving the PlayerPrefs properly/in-time, as the score always starts at zero, and it never goes down; but the score screen after each level is in a different scene, so it should save the score to PlayerPrefs, and then Score Scene just loads that back

@thomas-bringer Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the music aha - it's normally what I enjoy doing the most so I'm glad it lived up to it! Totally agree with your suggestions, thank you

Cyndermine Mail Delivery Service by simmo 2023-05-04T17:09:07Z

@droiddare To be entirely honest, the keys were chosen based solely on which ones my smol brain could figure out how to do the shadow on the letters in the way I wanted them ngl LMAO - but yeah, I agree in hindsight it might have been worth figuring out some more sensical keys aha. Love the combo meter idea, no clue why I didn't think of myself lol

Cyndermine Mail Delivery Service by simmo 2023-05-04T17:12:34Z

@milano23 Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed! I suspect it may have been that the inputs were slightly out -- even though their position in the world, and the player's position in the world is all literally calculated mathematically (so not tied to framerate or anything like that), I found that depending on browser, or if you played downloaded (or even in the Unity Editor) the amount they were out by varied, even tho math is math  I had hoped to be able to put in one of those tools where you tap along and it calculates the offset/compensation needed to make it all line up in the levels so this was less of an issue, but procrastinated too hard and ran out of time lmao >.>

Cyndermine Mail Delivery Service by simmo 2023-05-04T17:15:32Z

@x16 Yeah, ngl the perspective was an accident when I rotated around the wrong axis, but bc I'm weird I kinda liked it in a strange way and stuck with it XD

The only reason the record option exists ironically is because I was lazy  ... I figured it'd be easy to add a level recorder and use that to record the main levels than manually transcribe out the notes and stuff lol. At that point it was just a case of a few tweaks to make it into its own 'mode' etc. lol

@twobitadder Thank you, I really appreciate the feedback! I do think I maybe could have chosen some better keys in hindsight; it was literally a mix of which keys I could make look how I wanted them to without having too think much, 9 to 6 *specifically* for the pattern in the 4- levels, and enter solely to annoy people out of nowhere

Cyndermine Mail Delivery Service by simmo 2023-05-09T21:23:25Z

@hakro Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed! Indeed, I definitely wish I'd added a sound effect, pulse, or something more defining of when you hit the notes (or an "EARLY!" / "LATE!" pop up to guide you etc.) - definitely on my list to add whenever I get some time to polish the game off aha

Very neat - this game really gave off mid 2000s flash puzzle game vibes and I loved it!

Slow News Day by JosephGallear 2023-05-02T11:36:11Z

This is a really nice little game, and I love the different take on the theme you've used! I look forward to the inverse mode in the future >:)

Disruptive Shipping Services by ConcurrentSquared 2023-05-09T20:51:00Z

A really good concept!

Much like the others say, the box and house blended in together, and the ability to jump would have been really helpful as I often found myself getting stuck amongst the rubble aha!

That said, great work!

The Milkman by RiceNun 2023-05-03T19:46:06Z

For a first whole game - let alone first jam! - this is very impressive, well done! Lovely artwork, sweet interactions, and a very refreshing change of pace! Keep up the awesome work
