Now a proud debt-free hauler specialising in mining escorts.

I'm sad to see so few ratings on this one, but I guess a combination of no web-player and intimidating looking complexity might be slowing people down. This was well made. Complex. I really enjoyed building my ship. I wish there was a scaffold/body extension piece to unlock more large slots. I was very careful to only run safe data delivery jobs for a while in the beginning where you can't meet almost any mission requirements. It took me a while to realize that I basically couldn't fail a mission.

I think it had some drawbacks that dragged the game down.

- Objective scope: either a lower initial debt for the ship, or scaling rewards for planets that go up higher like 4000 or more for some jobs. It took a long time to finish the campaign and I stopped really reading the missions halfway through just to get to the end.

-Stagnation: I reached full ship slots about halfway through the game and couldn't raise my stats any other way. I swapped some parts out to try to maximize extra hardpoints, but without some sort of extender or scaffold to add more large and small slots, you kind of plateau.

-Mission outcomes: I read them until that same halfway point where I just tried to rush to finish. They became pretty samey without any graphical action to back them up.

Still, impressive game. I was very satisfied paying off my debt and getting the victory screen where you can kinda see your ship flying.

Good game with pretty assets but I didn't fully understand the goal of the game... The UI need some explanations as we don't understand the difference between red money, the white one and the yellow "+" something. I don't know if it was a bug or not but I cannot change a thing on my ship, nor move it. Maybe the texts are too long too, I played for 10min and read the 5 firsts minutes and after that I played blind (but I am not very patient too ahah)

Interesting game, I think it could be cool as an idle game where you focus on the ship design and the missions automatically happen. I found myself spamming missions to get money. The UI took a minute to work out and a few things were counter intuitive (selecting upgrades had a fake checkbox and finishing a mission required clicking on all of the +/- notifications)

This is a cool game with a really ambitious scope! I had fun running missions and reading the details of the missions (I had a sort of similar game a few LDs ago called Outer). It did lower the stakes dramatically that I basically couldn't lose, but with more content and balancing this could be a really great game.

Incredible job, really fleshed out for a jam game. I would like to see this developed further with more balance and options as well as greater challenge. Amazing work!

Awesome, I liked this one a lot. The ship uprades seemed like they could go on forever! Really cool concept, would be interesting to see it polished up and worked on further. Good Job!

I liked the idea, the general setting and the mood. Ship customization with attachable 3D device models is truly awesome for a game jam. I wish I had a little more control over mission executions, but I'm aware that doing so would expand the scope of the game beyond what is manageable in 72 hours.

The graphics looked really solid on this, especially in the ship hangar. Mood and vibe were on point. I think it was clever to give the missions a chance of success based on the ship's loadout, given the time constraints of the jam. I had a little difficulty in the hangar knowing what components would help me in which missions. Also I didn't love the fact that you start in debt. I think it might be nice to start the player off at zero, but just a little nitpicky thing. I think psychologically, feeling like you're already behind at the start of the game might not give players a good feeling. Just a random thought. This is a graphically polished game and has a nice UI too! Excellent entry

Very impressed by the ship customisation system. From what I played of the game I found that taking missions never had any actual risk and could be played through very quickly while always turning a profit so I could probably finish the game without actually engaging in the gameplay.

Very impressive entry! It was actually engaging tinkering with the ships. The graphics and sounds created a very pleasing space atmosphere. I found that no matter what I've done I haven't actually lost any profit and could just spam buttons until victory.

At first, this is a really solid entry. You did a good part of everything, but saddly there is not a lot of gameplay. But I know how hard it can be, so no wories :)

Really nice customisation. But there is no need in changing the build during the game. Or even upgrade your ship once you get enough of money to specialize it. From this part - your goal is just to click on each planet and found your escort mission. Missions doesn't get harder and all of the details are accecable from the start.

This is a super cool management game that looks amazing and plays very well. I'm impressed you managed to do this under 72 hours, all alone. Well done!

catusfelony 2023-05-19 19:36

I liked it, but I feel the mining escort missions made it way too easy, maybe I over-optimized? In the end I kept going to the same mining operation missions over and over and got enough money to pay off the debt, with tens of thousands of cash on the bank to boot.

Twice did I accidentally hit the "back" button on the ship info screen and got booted back to the main menu, losing all my progress. So that was a bummer.

I liked the visuals, I initially thought I'd be doing some piloting myself when I skimmed the screenshots so it was a little disappointing to see it was mostly a text adventure kind of deal, but I still had fun. Good entry! :)
