LD53 — Delivery

Delivery Squares by Elementary 2023-05-06T09:39:17Z

Cool concept, I like the idea to integrate the minimap into the game the way you did. Good job :)

Days on the Lake by nardandas 2023-05-04T18:55:37Z

This game really TOOK OFF when I got the fly upgrade (sorry...) - Seriously though I loved the upgrade system, they really felt like they made a diference. I also really liked the controls / movement and once I got a few engine upgrades I pretty much just spent the whole time boating around, it was kind of mesmerising, especially with the water trail fx / shader that was really cool. Good Job :)

FEED CRUNK by Claybro2021 2023-05-04T19:12:32Z

Really cool game, I loved the mood of it, the visuals and the (horifying) audio tied together really well. The movement was a bit tricky at first but once I had got used to using the speed dynamics it started to feel more fluid. I had fun, good job all :)

Tentacle Delivery by Cloistered 2023-05-17T17:36:16Z

Cool game! As others have said the perspective of the camera made it a bit challenging at times but overall I had fun, a good Jam game - will be interesting to see if you expand an polish it, could be a fun mobile puzzler. Good Job!

Man with a Van by kankje 2023-05-04T19:36:47Z

I really love this game, probably my favourite of the jam so far and definitely one I will come back to. The visuals are really nice and it's a really well polished game, the strategy has just the right amount of depth for a casual game and gives it great replayability. I am in agreement that with some more features this could be a really popular mobile game. Also I feel it deserves a mention how true to life the delivery process of just yeeting the parcel in the houses general direction really is. Good job guys, great entry!

Personal Delivery Conglomerateā„¢ by chybby 2023-05-04T12:36:41Z

I really like this game. It's a cool concept and is well executed. I like the organisation side being quite open and not too prescribed it made me feel like I could actually improve upon my time by trying out new ideas and learning from previous rounds. I liked the hint system as well, reminded me of games like Not Tonight and Papers, Please... The randomisation of the names & addresses was a nice touch, it added another dimension to the organisation as it meant I could come up with mnemonic devices to remember where I put things. Even on day 3 the boxes were still unique (yes I checked...). The controls are fun and are really tight as well which isn't always the case with physics based controls, I didn't find them frustrating or objects not interacting how I would expect. I enjoyed yeeting boxes across the room in a panic when they weren't what I needed... If you're looking to build on it more, you could think about including an in-level time management component like the old time management flash games like diner dash - where customers would get angry and leave if you take too long.

Good job! And also thank you for including a mac build :)

SPACE.FARER by MartinK 2023-05-17T14:17:56Z

Awesome, I liked this one a lot. The ship uprades seemed like they could go on forever! Really cool concept, would be interesting to see it polished up and worked on further. Good Job!

Stork inc. by quabmara 2023-05-04T12:57:04Z

Cool game. The theme / mood was nice and consistent musically and visually. I felt like I was a 1980s air-traffic controller. I played it through quite a few times and it was a nice chill, relaxing game even though the consequence of a mistep is literally corporate infanticide...

My current high score is 91 points thanks to an absolute boeing 747 of a bird named Elon Stork #9525 who was able to carry TRIPLETS 114 freakin storkmiles. good job guys :)

Package Quest: AI Adventure by mathead 2023-05-04T18:15:43Z

this is really cool honestly, I was a bit dubious about how the recent AI boom might affect game jams but I think this is a really good application of it in my opinion. It's a really cool concept and I had a lot of fun playing around with it. Good job! also thank you for the Mac build :)

Onboard Hell by Blublu 2023-05-04T14:53:04Z

Really fun. Well executed concept, it's challenging and has a lot of replay value - I will be coming back to this one. The visuals are great and the music fits in well with the theme. The physics have been implemented really well, and even though the controls are challenging they are consistent and not at all buggy.

I do agree with @dissonance-generator about introducing auto-delivery, I think especially because the mouse position is the flight direction and your brain is already thinking about moving the mouse to the appropriate exit point having to click into the planet feels a bit weird.

Great game though, good job all round :)

DeliveryQuest by RaggedyJam 2023-05-06T09:34:31Z

Cool minigames - the third is my favourite, it's a challenging concept that makes you really want to finish. Would be cool to expand on it. Good Job :)

What's The Deal With...? by Robertthebastian 2023-05-04T18:38:28Z

@decadedecaf Oh wow I've not seen that game before. I've just watched the trailer and it looks really cool, will try it out! Thanks for the feedback :)

What's The Deal With...? by Robertthebastian 2023-05-04T18:39:58Z

Thanks for all the amazing feedback guys! I had kind of lost a bit of love for this nearing the end and wasn't sure if it was even a good idea but decided to post it anyway. I think it has potential as a concept and I'm glad some of you guys agree!

What's The Deal With...? by Robertthebastian 2023-05-04T18:44:36Z

@flaterectomy I agree with the hosting thing, there were actually quite a few issues with the WebGL build altogether really, a lot of rendering issues that I couldn't find workarounds for so just ended up removing a bunch of visual features instead, it for sure messed with the visibility and overall cohesiveness of the visuals. And yeah the combat system needs work for sure, especially with regards to the actual flow of combat and feedback. I was running out of time and tried to make a sort of quick visual feedback thing with the callout bubbles but its just a bit clunky really. Thank you for the feedback, I'm glad you liked the concept :)

earthmover by dishwand 2023-05-04T14:18:48Z

This is a really fun puzzle game. It's super challenging but it makes it feel all the more satifying when you complete a level. I didn't quite get to the end, I got to the same level as @zungryware however I feel I will for sure be coming back to finish it. Some funny lines from the the person in the box (Bell I think?) and I think the choice to forego a musical theme for quiet atmosphere paid off. Good job, a great entry all round!

I do feel really bad for Bell swishing around in that little metal box though...can't be comfortable!

Fetch Quest. A small text adventure by Patrick Abernathy 2023-05-06T09:54:35Z

Very fun, I love interactive fiction - I could see it expanded with the journey through the forrest etc. once you have the map. Good Job! Also, how deep are my pockets!? Screenshot 2023-05-06 at 10.51.41.png
