A little janky here and there but I still spent far too long playing this haha. Was fun to try upgrade the boat and the dialogue was pretty funny!

Not sure what's going on. Played on Firefox with extensions off and I _think_ it may not be working properly. Mainly the boat would slow down with the engine cutting out seemingly at random, especially around people but often without visible people nearby possibly because they weren't rendering. That said, I _do_ actually think the giant people standing in the water as your boats buzz around is a really nice surreal aesthetic. I wasn't able to find any missions either.
I loved the little messages about each upgrade, always fun when text has the voice of the developers in it. The visual style is also top notch! There was some weird audio popping, but enjoyable play.
Phew, this heated up my m2 macbook pro! I haven't ever heard the fans kick in this much. I loved the water texture and the pixel style. I wish there was a little more warning before I slammed into an island from offscreen, especially when traveling vertically. I appreciate the simplicity of the controls, too :)
I love the pixelated graphics combined with the water physics. The boat was genuinely fun to drive, and the upgrades were pretty well thought out. I was not able to buy the gun or the cannon, though. I had enough money, but clicking on either one would do nothing. Not sure if I was doing something wrong or if it's a bug. Still had a ton of fun. Great entry.
Hey, the web build is crashing for me on startup. I'm using Firefox on Windows.
Here's the error: ``` RuntimeError: index out of bounds @https://v6p9d9t4.ssl.hwcdn.net/html/7832518/Build/web_firefox_only.wasm:wasm-function[__Z26ApplyMaterialPassWithCacheRK18SharedMaterialDataR17ShaderPassContextP6ShaderPN9ShaderLab4PassEiibPKNS6_10GrabPassesEPNS6_11SubProgramsEPK22DeviceRenderStateBlock|ApplyMaterialPassWithCache(SharedMaterialData const&, ShaderPassContext&, Shader*, ShaderLab::Pass*, int, int, bool, ShaderLab::GrabPasses const*, ShaderLab::SubPrograms*, DeviceRenderStateBlock const*)@10676]:0x422cb3 @https://v6p9d9t4.ssl.hwcdn.net/html/7832518/Build/web_firefox_only.wasm:wasm-function[__ZN8Material11SetPassFastEPN9ShaderLab4PassER17ShaderPassContextP6ShaderiibPNS0_11SubProgramsE|Material::SetPassFast(ShaderLab::Pass*, ShaderPassContext&, Shader*, int, int, bool, ShaderLab::SubPrograms*)@10675]:0x422ab4 @https://v6p9d9t4.ssl.hwcdn.net/html/7832518/Build/web_firefox_only.wasm:wasm-function[__ZN8Material21SetPassSlowWithShaderEP6ShaderiR17ShaderPassContextib|Material::SetPassSlowWithShader(Shader*, int, ShaderPassContext&, int, bool)@10989]:0x445f5e @https://v6p9d9t4.ssl.hwcdn.net/html/7832518/Build/web_firefox_only.wasm:wasm-function[__ZN26CustomRenderTextureManager25UpdateCustomRenderTextureEP19CustomRenderTexturei|CustomRenderTextureManager::UpdateCustomRenderTexture(CustomRenderTexture*, int)@11882]:0x4c8e7c @https://v6p9d9t4.ssl.hwcdn.net/html/7832518/Build/web_firefox_only.wasm:wasm-function[__ZN26CustomRenderTextureManager26UpdateCustomRenderTexturesER13dynamic_arrayIP19CustomRenderTextureLm0EEb|CustomRenderTextureManager::UpdateCustomRenderTextures(dynamic_array
Thanks for the feedback everyone! I know the movement was a little hard to control with the hitting the shore, I tried to pull the camera back but it definitely wasn't enough. I should really try this on integrated graphics, I profiled it on my graphics card and it didn't take any time really, but I think integrated cards struggle. Thank you for the error @dafluffypotato, I'm going to try to look into it but I haven't had any luck in reproducing it. I have an idea but I'm unsure why it'd crash for some users and not others. Maybe just driver differences - I'll try and fix it!
Simple but nice art style, and boat controls felt suitably boat-y. Also cool that you implemented multiple play modes!
I had problems finding deliverables, maybe a minimap or something would have helped? I loved the water effect!
Well done! I like how the water looks :D Would have been nice with some music also.
This game really TOOK OFF when I got the fly upgrade (sorry...) - Seriously though I loved the upgrade system, they really felt like they made a diference. I also really liked the controls / movement and once I got a few engine upgrades I pretty much just spent the whole time boating around, it was kind of mesmerising, especially with the water trail fx / shader that was really cool. Good Job :)
I couldn't really understand what was going on as I could not find anyone with a box on their head, and when I did 5 other boats got there before me! I like the water effects though, it was really nice.
There was some bug that didn't allow me to interact with a dude on the second day so i've got to wait till its over. Boat movement is good, audio and VFX are nice. I think you should at least put some intro screen with text in the beginning to explain what is what. Also i was surprised that you made upgrade mechanic.
The Movement of the boat feels really nice and its impressive that you had enough time to create a skilltree as well. I had some trouble interacting with some people and it took me a while until they accepted my stuff. Besides that well done!
i love the water effects that's so neat
i really liked the aesthetic, that crunchy pixel effect is great. I wasn't really sure what to do through, so i just kind of drove around trying to crash into the other boats :')
I'm a fan of the water effect when you're boating around - it's well done! Also spent quite a bit of time trying to earn money to get upgrades and keep making the boat stronger.
One thing that was a bit tricky was not knowing exactly what to do at first - but once I got the hang of things, I had fun fighting other boats and making deliveries.
Congrats on the game!
Nice game, has a couple of bugs tho, sometimes I dont have any quest to do so I need to just wander around. The flying upgrade doesnt still let me jump over the islands so not sure whats the reason to use the jump. Can still see it being fun and imagine this being multiplayer instead of AI :)
Looks incredible! Sound of the boat is good as well. Unfortunally, I wasn't able to buy a weapon upgrade, played in the firefox.
Love the game! The water shader is excellent. Can really appreciate the water textures. The talent trees are great. On theme! 5 of 5!
It has addictive gameplay - it was audio visually pleasant experience. Thanks for chill mode for those of us who hate time trials.
There are few minor bugs, but overall it's quite decent jam entry.
Keep up the good work.
Relaxing and aesthetically very nice. I like the water shader, very well done on that. Sometimes it seemed like the game wouldn't let me make deliveries, so I was a bit confused, but other times it worked fine.
Somehow I can't buy the gun upgrades. Amazing game still!
Came for the water physics (thanks for the post!), stayed for the game. This is such a calming and mesmorizing experience! Would be a killer game, but all upgrades on the left side of the screen were blocked by disclaimer, so I could not click any of those, which left me out of guns :(

And yes, I played in Firefox on Windows. Windowed, fullscreen, did not matter. Would totally play the full game after this is patched!
I also came for the water physics. They are very nice. Shame about the gun upgrades not being purchasable. The spike upgrade has the same problem, but the popup switches to the other side if you mouse over the very left of that button. I did buy all the others though. It was fun. The mechanic upgrade didn't seem to do anything, and I didn't notice any changes after I bought the spike upgrade. Finding people with tasks to do could be annoying at times. I was confused at first because I couldn't find any of them and thought I must be missing something. The progress bars were a bit glitchy for me, they would clip behind the water or just not appear to fill up at all. (Using Firefox)
I'll have to look at the upgrades, I didn't think there were any issues but it may be an aspect ratio issue. Thank you so much for playing!
A very nice game. Couldn't buy a gun because popup blocked the button, but everything else was fun and satisfying!
Yeah, like it said there is bug in ui where overlay pop up hides another upgrades and you never can get a gun or weapon. I saw your article with water effects, and it look cool. Perhaps, more pixels will be better I think, too low res.
Very chill game, and the start is very slow, it was so nice to see upgrades too. If it's planed as a meditation game it's good, but if is not, it's quite boring just to move and get delivery packages.
