I really, really liked that you made all sound effects with your mouth xD At first I thought it might get annoying, but I eventually I started thinking "maybe the fisher is making those sounds" which really added to the vibe lol
I sadly couldn't finish the game because eventually the bigger fish stopped taking the bait and I got a bit frustrated because the fish bait got depleted even when I aborted the trys :(

I liked that you could use one fish as bait for another, and that I had to fish it first. That is an interesting mechanic, but it would @plastus said be cool to keep that bait on abort, because currently it is painful when you can't catch bigger fish... A bit more control on how / where to throw would have been nice. I understand the DIY feel you wanted for the game, but for now, it still feels a bit too bare ( what kind of precision do we have while reeling, for instance? It took me a while to understand that it was a precision task).
I like the aesthetic and the sfx are funny, nice entry!

@plastus, thanks so much for your feedback, I am really glad you liked the sounds, it was also fun creating them! I am so sorry you couldn't finish the game, unfortunately there was a bug with a fish spawner, which prevented the fishes you can use as bait to spawn towards the end of the game.
I fixed the bug now, so in case you have this itching feeling to complete your paper fish collection for some reason you are very welcome to play again!

Pretty cool game, an all-rounded experience,really liked it! Maybe a bit more content would be nice, but its really fun and a nice break from all the stressfull stuff. Have a nice day ^^ (Also i found the sounds really funny and they added to the chill mood)
Interesting concept with the sounds for sure! I think it worked out quite well. Otherwise nice and simple game. Love the fish facts!
Good take on the theme, but the real point of this cozy game is the atmosphere, both in graphics and audio.

The sounds are AWESOME! =D The game itself is actually pretty fun, and it sticks to the theme well. I’d love to see this idea developed further :) The only thing is that the other fish got in the way while I was trying to catch one — though I guess that was part of the design. Still, Poppy the cannibal is wild XD
The sound effects are kaif, gives it a really homemade by your grandpa feeling
Woooooooshh!! HAHA! Nomnomnom! Took me a moment to figure out how to play this but once everything clicked it was intuitive. I thought using fish you caught as bait was clever.

I enjoyed matching fish chains.To get rarer ones.
It would be great if the book showed which fish bite which bait. Like a branching tree. That way, I could set goals and work toward them more consciously.
Add a link to the Itch page that leads to the LD page. I first found Itch, and then I had to search manually on LD.
upd: Oh, I saw you have a fish catching diagram. I think adding that to the game would be great. You can even skip the outline so it's hard to tell which fish are which, but the player would still be able to see the entire chain to track the progression.

Yeah, I only thought about diagram after I published the game and now I think it will be unfair to improve the game beyond bugfixing.
This is a lesson for my future LDs though!
I see some complaints about not knowing which bait can be used for which fish and losing your current bait on abort but I honestly liked those aspects since the it provided a nice challeng and I think it would be too easy without those "drawbacks". Also 10/10 soundscape
It is a good game, as long as you're in the right mindset - to not rush things and wait for an opportunity. I got there eventually :sweat_smile: Still hate bubblingtons though.
Definitely enjoyed both audio and visual side of things, and text effects were a nice touch. Well done ^^
Good chill and relax cozy game. Play on mobile phone, get softlock on this screen, but add all fish except one in collection. I think, moment with spin should be a little easier, I am go home after hard working day 1 hour ago, and it was a little complex to react. Overall, I get meditative vibe.

Чилловая и расслабляющая игрушка. Играл с мобильного телефона, получил софтлок на этом скрине, благо, закрыл всех рыбок кроме самой маленькой. Думаю, что момент на реакцию можно сделать попроще, мне было сложно после рабочего дня. Но общее впечатление от игры расслабляющее и медитативное
P.S. Спасибо, что поиграл в мою АААААААААААА игру :)
