Game is super high-quality. A lot of gameplay and such a cool art-style. Summoning your workers for cafe is really nice idea. Thank you for your game!

A bit hard at the start but awesome game! love the graphics and the game feel too!
The style is wonderful! The music is great!! ♥ I had some trouble understanding it. My greeter seems to work but there is no movement from the patrons from there😢 Could you explain what I am doing wrong so I can enjoy the game?
Love the idea, artstyle is quite unique too, would love an easier start tho
@gravityflip Sure! An exclamation mark shows up over worker slots you need to fill in order to progress with your guests. You can either fill them with a summoned worker, or do it yourself by picking a role next to your avatar. In the beginning, before you get enough minions to fill all slots, you have to switch around to do the work!
I hope this helps, let me know if you have more questions!
@gravityflip Wait - it's possible you don't have a table, if you missed the tutorial! Make sure to buy your first table to start serving your guests :)
Such cozy atmosphere! Vibing to the music. Really impressive that you reached such a nice overall presentation in three days!
Love the chill atmosphere of the game, especially with the music. Really nailed that sim game vibe. And the graphics are super polished as well. One thing I'll say is that it was a bit too easy to get crazy exponential growth
Enjoyed the business sim type game, the debt target reminds me a bit of games like Recettear. I played to the end and completed it. The aesthetic is really nice and the music fit well with theme. I think there's definitely some balancing could be done, it seems upgrading to a few tables as soon as you can is the clear best option. I guess the time it takes for guests to reappear after closing and opening is meant to be the counter to that. Would also be nice to be able to upgrade or move tables after the fact too.
Really love the art and vibes! For some reason it wouldnt fullscreen for me, which made it a little hard to play / read what was going on. Would be nice to have a fast forward button as well, since parts were quite slow. Still incredibly impressive!
@outstar thank you so much! I got a table but it somehow did not work. But it worked when I tried again now ♥ Thank you for the help ♥
There was a lot of information in the tutorial, so i missed that i had to buy a table. Came back here and saw it in a comment. Maybe there should have been an included table in the start? perhaps with the cost deducted from the starting cash? Anyways, i had fun with it in the end! Well done!
It's insane that you made it by yourself, I thought it was made by a team. Congratulations!!!
As for the game, I think I found a way to play, but I would love to know for example what the different stats do or what does it mean when I send my player to the cafe.
Art, Vibe, Lighting are just on point! Very very sick! <3
This was amazing! I loved it, i may or may not have been distracted by the music and ended up just sitting there relaxing not really paying attention to what was going on, but the game looked, sounded and was amazing to play!
I'd love to work on this kind of theme too, but unfortunately, our creative well had run dry at the time. It's really great to see you making this game.1115.gif
Love the cozy vibes!
Gorgeous artwork and style, fun gameplay. Challenging without being too tricky. Takes a bit to get used to what you're meant to be doing but the tutorial is super helpful with onboarding. Amazing job!
I like coffee roasters, i like black/red colours and i do love the cozy music. Amazing concept, super relaxing to play :3
Yay, I paid off my debt! At least somewhere. Art style is great
Wonderful art style and vibe, a fun start to a management game. The music also matches the tone nicely.
I think I found a bug or the most efficient way to "win" - if you pump the speed/lightning bolt attribute for the manager and put them as cashier, you can eventually get to a point where you can just keep leveling up and are unable to spend your experience points fast enough. At some point the game started to really slow down/chug along (at least when using the WebGL build) - not sure what that's about  bugreport.jpg
Anyway, bugs aside, this was very nice!
@olenikimid That's a great find! Cashier does rate better with speed which results in a bigger tip, and tips correspond to XP, so you paired two things perfectly to cheat on it efficiently :D never saw anyone getting this level before, congrats! And yeah, balancing had to be pretty rudimentary for the jam's purposes, if I ever build up on it I'll tweak the logic to be less about finding ultra solutions like this :)
I'll look into the slow down, might be connected to the values you got!
Bought one of the coal tables on the eve of the 6th day forgetting to account for salaries... lost the game with 642 monies... IT WAS SO CLOSE ARG XD
Wow those arts and music are wonderful. I had a really fun time managing that café, thanks ! =)
A really polished and complete game!
Quite an ambitious idea for a game jam. But you've made it and it works great! I must say I was afraid that the game would end after I paid the debt. But it didn't, yay! :) It has a very cozy mood. I am only confused about how exactly the employee stats matter. I figured out some are faster than others, I think it's influenced by the energy stat. But I have no idea what others do. Anyway, I enjoyed the game!
Great job with your first solo game jam. It can be tough. Liked the style and the music. The game was pretty chill. Would liked to have more than 6 days.
Great game. Well polished and complete. I had fun playing it. First play through i lost two days just figuring it out. Relaxed pace though, nice break to be honest. You got a lot done in a short amount of time. Good job.
First of all, the art is gorgeous. Just everything: style, palette, the UI, portraits, furniture. It's very pleasant to look at. The music creates a great atmosphere, so game feels relaxing. In terms of gameplay, I think I was a bit confused. It felt like I am endlessly greeting the esteemed spider guests, but they are quite comfortable just staying near entrance saying their greetings and are not too interested in my coffee or anything. The bar for greetings was filling up again and again, and nothing really happened. darkroast.jpg
Then I scrolled through the comments here and realized about the table. I actually tried buying one, but the more expensive one, and for some reason after that completely scratched the table-buying idea xD darkroast2.jpg
I got the cheaper table, thankfully still had money for that, but spiders weren't too impressed still :( Finally, I realized that because I clicked on the table AFTER opening the cafe, it was considered UN-placed again by the game. I made sure not to touch the table on the screen anymore and YAY, that spider tea-time was heartwarming <3 darkroast3.jpg
Took me a bit to get the hang of it, but the atmosphere of the game is so inviting and relaxing that I stuck around to figure everything out. Great job! ^-^
The visual presentation is fantastic, super coherent. And along with the music, you set a great mood. It feels very well polished, and I enjoyed successfully paying back my debt! I love that you can continue running your shop after you win, great touch.
Gorgeous! I'm amazed at how much you managed to incorporate and how polished you made it. I added a second table but the people who sat at it never got served - not sure if I did something wrong or if it is a bug. But I managed to pay off my debt pretty handily anyway by exploiting the cheapest of cheap demons >:)
@randomhuman Thank you so much for playing! This is a visual bug that doesn't affect the gameplay and your stats - basically all workers currently take care of the latest table that submitted a need, which leaves some tables look like there's no progress happening, but it's the progress on workers that matters for the general stats and tips :) I'll make sure to add to list of fixes!
The first round I lost by only 100 Money, the second round I got over 200k Money, every skill over level 200 and then the game started lagging so I couldn't finish the 6th day xD I loved it, very nice look and feel to the game!
Seems like I wasn't the first to level up to the stratosphere :D Exceptional visuals and vibes. I love these!!!
Very beautiful art! I think this could be expanded into something even cooler. I agree with the Recettear vibes mentioned by others.
Chill gameplay, great pixel work, dark cozy vibes.
🖤
While I am not a fan of this type of games, I did find the game quite good. Both the atmosphere and art are amazing! Very nice entry!
Nice game. Love the moody art work. Found it a bit hard to see when I was dragging a recently-summoned minion to a role, but otherwise really enjoyed it. Good work!
Really lovely art and mood! I had some issues on my 4k display, where the UI does not scale so was very tiny, but changing my desktop to 1080p at least made it better.
Well, I don't know how other people managed to pay off their debt in this economical climate, I was really bad at it. And, in second playthrough the second table was glitched, it was never getting served by barista, be it me or a summon. Switching to Decor showed that it was still in drag state, maybe it has something to do with me trying to drag&drop instead of just click.
But anyway, really impressive achievement for a solo jam game, considering both the gameplay complexity and gorgeous graphics. I think what I mostly wanted to say is that the Grayscale+Red color scheme works so well, makes me inspired to try it some time with some other color for a different mood.
The art is beautiful! I'm not really sure I understood what's going on. Didn't get the stats, or what was the eye thingy at the top right, etc. I think a tooltip would've been amazing! At one point I had like 7k-8k coins which is a lot more than 666 which felt too easy, so I'm not sure I got it right (I did do the tutorial).
I also encountered some bugs, like demons not sitting down at the tables when I added tables, or a summon completing but nothing showing up at the 3 slots (maybe I cancelled it somehow?).
Cool game! Very impressed with the art
The slow jam guitar and upright bass track was GETTING IT. As a Logic Pro user, I'm impressed at how close to an actually produced recording it sounds. The only thing I could ask there is some more hellish motifs, like dark pads, distant cackles or growling, screaming, the lick of distant hellfire... Love the door ring, crowd noise, and the coffee pouring sound, very atmospheric.
Visually it looks wonderful, the red/dark color scheme is really lovely. The "nice" tables / the customers are probably the low point graphically for me, but really it's wonderful.
I couldn't figure out how to get people to sit down or order after coming in. I thought having a worker in the greeter slot would do it, but they just kept standing at the front. It fixed when I restarted the game though. It's a pretty slow start, would be nice to have a fast forward function. More variety in the customers could've been nice as well. I was surprised when having the MC help the cashier made everything so much faster than having her hop around whatever role was behind. Feels like a bug, but maybe that's intended?
Really great job making this by yourself! Very impressive. Very cozy little game. :)
A very good game :) maybe more decoration would be nice! I've experienced a bug, if you buy a decoration but don't have any space left, you're stuck with the table ^^' the ars and sound are very good, I like this game
Absolutely gorgeous art and absolutely banging OST, love the vibe and atmosphere. I even loved the gameplay, even though the first time I couldn't figure out what to do and I kinda ended up wasting starting money on one table and one employee, but then faced the same winning glitch when, just like in the meme, they won't stop coming and they won't stop coming and they won't stop coming and they won't stop coming and they won't stop coming and they won't stop coming and they won't stop coming and they won't stop coming and they won't stop coming and they won't stop coming and they won't stop coming and they won't stop coming and they won't stop coming and they won't stop coming and they won't stop coming and they won't stop coming and they won't stop coming and they won't stop coming and they won't stop coming and they won't stop coming and they won't stop coming and... well, you got the idea.
At some point my game just turned into a powerpoint presentation with gorgeous music and days barely moving and almost no customers at all. But for those bugs and balance issues I blame the jam nature, so I loved the entry wholeheartedly, grrrreat job!
Cozy yet dark and mysterious atmospheres coexist here. Impressive jam entry! I really liked the color tone choice. Didn't feel very involved in running the business though. Once I filled all my positions without knowing what the stats did (I assumed lightning was speed and brains meant they were better at complex tasks like cashier or barista), I just let the game run. Added one extra table and then it was entirely hands off to earn 800 coins by day 6.
Wow, I loved the game's aesthetic, it's really beautiful! I found the gameplay very relaxing, and the music complements it perfectly. You did a great job!
Very solid entry ! Only thing I was a little confused about was the table thing at start. I guess putting one table by default could do the trick. Anyway I am convinced there would be a lot of potential if you were to make a more complete version with better upgrades etc. the core mechanics are already very cool ! Congrats !
Wonderful, I love the feel of this! Probably a bug, it seemed like the 3 demons it advertised I could summon always arrived with different stats than shown (false advertising from hell?). The resolution was also tiny, and seemed off (I played on Web, on the itch.io page, and it took up only about half of the viewport allocated for it - likely because I'm at 150% high DPI display scale - I suspect you can simulate this in the browser by just using your browser's zoom feature to "zoom" to 150% and you'll see the same effect). Switching down my monitor's resolution and then the game played great though. I wasn't quite sure what putting myself on a station did, when I put myself on the Barista station, I thought I was helping, but actually the demon worked way slower. Once I got out of his way, the game went much more swimmingly ^_^. On the last day I went from about 400 money to around 10,000, and also gained about 120 levels, so there seems to be some uncontrolled exponential growth (but that was fun)! Really nice job on this game.
Ohhh, this game has a lot of depth, but personally I was struggling a lot with understanding how it works. How do stats affect demon's performance? How do I get the the resource for summoning? What's the difference between the tables? Does closing the cafe stops the time? It's probably subjective, but for me it's important to understand how mechanics function in detail.
It felt weird I had to drag the demons to assign them to a job, but couldn't drag my own avatar. I was struggling with money a lot as well, couldn't afford the second table when the entrance was already crowded with spiders lol. But! I really do appreciate the scope and the complexity of this game, I think it could turn into a great tycoon.
like the art and the cozy feeling of this game.
Great entry I love the design .. and management game are my thing to :D Maybe a bit more tooltips for characteristics
Congrats !
Super cozy game! I'd love to see this be developed with more decorations and other types of workers and boosters. It was only one quest so more objectives would be really nice. Good job!
Great visual art and audio !
But the game is to "easy", make 62000 money by placing all the monsters randomly  I don't think it was planned
I really loved the artwork and audio, they worked very well together. It's a really nice cozy game!
Really polished game! Great graphics and music and I loved that the UI layout.
It took me quite a while to realize I needed to buy a table to get any guests hah. It is fun trying to make your cafe successful but I did not fully understand how the different stats and jobs interplayed and what was a "good" strategy, so mostly just placed them randomly.
