Great game, nice difficulty progression in the levels, excellent retro design. Only too bad it doesn't incorporate the theme of the challange.
Had a nice blast delivering justice!
- I'm a sucker for graphics like this and low poly - Music / SFX is on point for this type of game - Multiple levels and nice level design - Quite nimble controls
Maybe its just me, but this one feels like it's playing with `delivery` theme more on a word-like manner, which is fine and dandy but wouldn't been my first pick definitely
Good job overall!
Plus, I've found a bug on Level3 I believe. When you constantly push a box, after a short while you will go Out of Bounds :see_no_evil:

I love the simple artwork. I'm so used to WASD and space to jump, but I really enjoyed playing this game once I got the hang of it. Call me sadistic, but it was SO satisfying when I killed enemies and they made like a 'POP' sound and had a little blood spatter. Really fun, effective game :)
Classic game but well made. It's nicely polished too. I don't know if it's intended, but I don't seem to be able to go down when I'm a the very top a ladder.
@makerart Have you clicked on the game window to make sure it's focused? That's probably your issue.
@kr0meel @mikoziq I was told it was a bit of a stretch but I still think it's a clever interpretation. I won't argue if people disagree though. That's an interesting glitch with the box, no idea what would be causing that off the top of my head, I'll look into it.
@yorsh That's not intended, but I can understand why it's happening: since you're technically not on the ladder anymore, the game won't let you climb down it. I think that one should be a simple fix, thanks for bringing it up.
Game is beautiful, graphics and audio are great <3 Too bad the boxes aren't crushing enemies tho & I agree about the theme "issue", feels a bit stretch indeed.. but great job !
I liked the simple pixel art and music/sounds
Great TIC-80 game, played it until the end. The box stacking stuff ended up being quite interesting. Good job!
I liked the SFX & graphics. Impressed you were able to create so many levels. I fell out of the world on level 13 though due to the same bug previously mentioned in the comments :(
You're the only person I know who has been making TIC-80 games for Ludum Dare, which is awesome.
Love the cute art style
Found a bug at level 3, when moving the box I clipped through the wall. I needed to close my tab. Pluspoints for the game remembering the level I was on!
I remember some of the graphics and looked at some other of your games. I remember playing your LD50 entry! I think the levers and the flying enemies made a comeback :D The levers were a mistery for me first. I thought I could swing the sword to activate them
I like the visual style of this game a lot. The biggest problems for me are 1. I've played a million Ludum Dare games that are puzzle platformers with boxes and levers and 2. the collisions are all kinds of screwed up. I was able to drop through the floor effortlessly by just climbing down a ladder while already at the bottom or pushing a box into a wall. Boxes would get stuck on me and dragged along, and would pass through each other if pushed together. I like the length. 15 levels is quite impressive, and the progression of difficulty and variety of challenges is good, although beating the final boss is trivial with the ladder nearby.
edit: I went back to double check the ladder issue, and I found a spot on level 6 where the walls don't have collision at all! Just thought you'd like to know, lol.
@wouter52 That's fixed in the post-jam version. You can press S to restart the level from the beginning, no need to refresh the tab. And yeah, I recognise your name! Was struggling for ideas for enemies and obstacles so I borrowed some from *The Flower of Marasca*.
@quinn-patrick Again, most of those should be fixed in the post-jam version, though I wasn't aware of a bug where you could fall through the floor. I'll need to investigate that one.
Fortunately this particular crusader seems a lot more friendly than the real deal
Anyway. Nice 'n crunchy, like a '9 bit' fantasy console is supposed to. For the most part it played smooth enough (liked the box-pushing), but I don't understand in what way precisely you take damage -- while it got easy enough to avoid damage eventually, when I did run into a mob, sometimes it seems I take damage, and sometimes not.
I got into the wall on level 6 and of course tried out what happens when you get out of the level (actually I maybe thought it was a secret). Nothing much, but it does seem like I now need to restart the game.
(I also liked that there are options and settings in the menu.)
In some levels I could walk through the walls. Sometimes I was able to go through the floor if I kept walking down the ladder. Being able to change direction you're facing while standing on the ladder would also be a good addition.
fun game.. art and music really stylish.. there were some issues with walls and passing them out of level..
Nice game, but bugs are everywhere! I couldn't beat the game because level 11 was too hard. Sorry!
PS:Now i've beaten it and the game is very good!
Always great to see another game in tic80 (@alanxoc3 I use it also )! I was impressed by the veriety of enemies and mechanics you were able to add. As others have said the collision had some bugs, but one other thing I'd suggest changing is making the attack sweep bigger.
great game! the art and levels are very nice, but there are a few bugs. Also pressing z to go to the next level is also the same button for jump, so it causes you to jump when you enter the next level.
Nice work! This is a cute game, I think it definitely qualifies for the word delivery, but you could easily have added an overarching "delivery" mission to deliver a message or something along those lines just to make perfectly sure it fit! Otherwise, this is pretty fun, though the hitboxes and controls don't feel amazing and the type of game isn't particularly innovative as a whole. Still, it's well done!
Love to see a good TIC-80 game! I was able to walk straight through the walls in some of the levels, which I abused to cheat past some of the puzzles.
Nice! But having "Z" for jump and select is really inconvenient on a QWERTZ keyboard. :-/
(edit)Oh! I just noticed you can remap the keys in the options menu! Cool!(/edit)
Very polished for a game jam! And very charming retro vibe overall. I wish the theme was incorporated more, though, and I feel the game could use some more depth mechanically.
Also, a few QOL suggestions: I'd love to be able to jump on ladders, and I ended up cheesing the last level by killing everything from the ladders xD
Well done overall!
Cool music, fits very well with the graphics! Very polished game, insane that you implemented save files for a jam :open_mouth: Agree with another commenter that the controls are weirdly placed for a qwertz keyboard. Overall, great entry!

Really cool little platformer game. I ran into a few bugs like being able to walk through walls, and the performance degraded on the web version as the levels went on. The graphics and music are cute.
great retro vibe, really gives this old platformers feeling!
looked and played great, good vibe
Nice game & great art. But really unintuitive controls, almost game up at the menu after 2 mins of pressing all keys on the keyboard  Also strange that you have to press up to activate a lever.
Pretty neat platformer, surprised how many mechanics you managed to implement in the amount of time - gates, blocks etc. The low res sprites are pretty cute and the game feel is solid, minus a few small bits of jank on ladders and passing through some walls.
same bugs as others have said, i think it's related to pushing boxes. Walls are solid but once i've touched a single crate suddenly i can just slide thru the walls. Kinda feels like a mario cheese strat.

Very nice graphics and overall thematic, even if simple. I quite enjoyed the game, but I was able to clip through the wall everywhere, the box pushing code is quite broken and at level 11 the game started slowing down.
Music loop is simple yet effective, the puzzle design is good and the enemies are all very cool looking and different.
Good job!
EDIT: I played the version on itch.io and the collision were fixed, but the game still slowed down.
Cute game! I enjoyed playing it and managed to finish it. The difficulty curve was balanced and the level progression felt right.

And I have a bit of feedback
- I liked the art and the music (although it the music did get a bit too repetitive after while, which is understandable for a jam though). - I managed to glitch through walls and made it to one of the exists using wall jumping lol - I didn't like the fact that you needed to cheese enemies to solve level 15 (at least that's how I managed it!) - I think there needed to be more feedback for getting hurt - Movement - I think a bit of slide would make it feel more fluid - Jumping - Maybe could be a bit more... Bouncy? Not sure how to put it. It felt a bit heavy - Combat - attacking could definitely have a bit more range and feedback to it - I think there could be more emphasis on the theme - Thank you for not making the spikes one hit kill!
Despite all that though, I did enjoy the game enough to bother finishing it, which is not something I could say about all the jam entries I played, so overall this is a great entry!
@markais My brother in Christ the controls are literally right there in the game description
