@themaskedman Oops! Removed now.
This is an example where you can make a game with a simple idea, but craft a fun little story, draw everything nicely and add a bunch of sick sounds and you get a great gamejam game! I really enjoyed it!
The game is funny and nice but the music is terrible and the graphics are nice but I hope for something better in the future
Amazing! I feel the hatred for our jobs flowing through our protagonist. Excellent voice work the dry 80s delivery of the lines had me cracking up the whole time. Great lines, like the pearly gates of HR. The game is super polished too!
 Best way to climb the corporate ladder. Loved that you incorporated voice acting. Too few games make use of that for game jams. Love the old virtucop games so enjoyed this throughly. As a god gamer didn't even take any damage :smirk: great entry. You should add some screenshots and stuff to the page though as it deserves a lot more plays.
Nice ! a simple and effective gameplay !
also, just to let you know, I had one guy appearing behind a bird cage that I couldn't shoot at all, no matter where I was aiming, in the 2nd to last screen
Nice gameplay, sound is good !
the voice acting is awesoooome. RELOAD RELOAD! hehehehe
This is awesome!!! I absolutely love your take on the theme, the humor, the sound effects, the freaking voice over! And the game is super engaging from start to end. 10/10
Immaculate voice acting. Very fun to play!
That voice acting is really fun in its overacting glory!
The game is very well done, it works like a charm and what a joy to take down these bloody coworkers, HR and the boss! Very funny and well executed. You also got a laugh out of me at some of these enemies (the golf guys!) and of course, the little cutscenes. The graphics are super effective as well.
Overall a very very nice entry. Very impressive, congrats! Time for a follow-up where you go after the competition as well :D
Haha this game was so much fun to play. It's simple and reminds me of the old arcade game. The voice acting was topnotch and the gameplay was smooth. If you'd like to have some point of critique I'd share the following: There was no real drawback for reloading every time you had no opponents or just in between shots. If there would be some score it would keep you more on your toes to hit good shots (headshots?). It would also be nice to add some target you're not supposed to hit (Jacky from reception or the nice cleaning lady). Of course as us you only had 72 hours and even without these points it was a very enjoyable game, good job! The only question that lingers is.. will the new management approve my salary increase?
As someone who has played Time Crisis (yes, quite different from Virtua Cop), it was easy to get used to the gameplay. Just a little bit more polishing and you have an arcade-worthy game in your hands, complete with a light gun.
great work, simple but fun, and the art is really good, its very impresive how many different types of enemies you could make
Felt pretty good to me! Nice little contained story and the gun mechanics feel pretty good for the time frame it was made in. Voice acting was spot on too. Nice job!
This was a blast to the past! I loved the game, the art style, the **full** narration, the smooth gameplay; it is really well done! And all of this by a single dev, that's incredibly impressive. Congratulations on a great entry!
Boss.jpg Short and fun game. Some of the recorded sounds had me laughing out loud. Thanks for the mood! Good job.
This was great! I like the art and the nice hit feedback a lot. Good job!
That was fun! Excellent work!
God damn, that was great! Really well polished, great game feel, and the humour is spot on! Love the voice acting
I loved that! Great voice acting! I felt like John Wick with a stapler.
Hey look a game based on my college years day dreams! Thanks for making this, I had fun. Got a kick out of the narration and story, graphics are fun and humorous while also envoking nostalgia for those old light gun shooters. Congrats on this one!
Great fun, very good entry.
The whole experience feels really consistent, polished and complete. Everything feels like it works properly and the rollercoaster ride is over before you even realize it. The short bits of story between the sections and every floor having new opponents adds a lot of flavour to it all. Very impressive that you managed to put it all together with the given time constraint. Well done!
Great tribute to Virtua Cop! It's genuinely fun, and you've successfully captured the essence of that era's arcade games, topped with overflowing humor. My sincerest congratulations to the team—great game!
Very fun, loved the art style and voices, great job!
This whole experience was an acid trip of a game. The lack of music really sucks but the voice acting really pays off! The gameplay loop is fun and challenging! If it had a infinite mode I'd be spending a lot of time in your game. Good job!
That was fun. And as a fan of Virtual cop, I loved every moment. Amazing job
So I found my winner. My favorite entry for this 55th LudumDare. I have a lot of fun playing. It reminds me of some retro games like VirtuaCop which you mentioned, but others too like Operation Wolf. I really like the main aesthetic with its gorgeous PixelArt graphics. The best part is the voice acting and the background sound. I was feeling myself working in the office. The controls worked well as expected and I was able to quickly reach the boss. It could be fun to make a difference according to the accuracy - headshot, flying objects, bonus in the decor, etc. There is only one problem - when the cursor is out of the screen game. I would like something in real fullscreen - maybe as a standalone application. I cannot imagine that you made this amazing entry in less than three days. Thank you for this experience. I wish you the best ++
Definitely 'nailed' that arcade Virtua feel! Incredible job, this.
One of my favourite games this jam lol. The narration and story were an awesome addition. It's simple, fun and well executed. A bit short and easy, but that's totally fine for a jam. Would love to see more of this! Congrats!
I love virtua cop so this game is right up my alley. Funny story and take on the theme. I just wish you'd restart the "Reload!" sound every time you spam click so you'd get that iconic "re-re-re-reload!"
It is a really fun and polished game which brings back the memories of virtuacop from deep past. The humor is relatable, choice of weapon is great and the voice acting is cool. Excellent job!
Very solid, tightly packed entry. I love the voice acting and the overall humor. If anything, I'd flip the boss' desk around - he might be able to do his job.
Appreciate the sound slider.
Good work, enjoyed it!
Office jobs are the worst! Speaking from experience. This game was a good laugh and everything felt quick and snappy so kudos on the programming. The visuals were unique and clear and seeing the dramatic shot of the staple holding, fingerless gloved hand + the raspy voice acting got a laugh out of me everytime! Great submission good job!
Love Virtua Bob! Great work, really good fun, gameplay is spot on, dig the stapler choice and the paperwork explosion deaths! All round really Great Work!
This was fantastic! Very well put together! If there was anything I could say at all, it didn't feel like it fit the theme _that_ much - but the execution is phenomenal regardless!
Excellent work!
Excellent game! It's a lot of fun and very challenging, and it's also very polished. Good job!
Great game. Original, fun, well-made. The voice acting was really good, reminded me of the voiceovers in Max Payne! Funny and perfect for a jam! PS: I hate my office job too! :D
@ungarblapp He told me about this game. I really like it. I have always wanted to develop a game of this type.
