Really stylish game, reminded me a lot of The Red Strings Club, gameplay is a bit confusing and could really use a tutorial, but still really cool game!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD55 → Summoner's Speakeasy

Really stylish game, reminded me a lot of The Red Strings Club, gameplay is a bit confusing and could really use a tutorial, but still really cool game!
First jam game I've seen to actually feature multiple languages, nice.
I really like the style, but had quite the trouble to actually fulfill the needs of people, since the tooltips (on my 1920x1080 notebook) ended up mostly off-screen, so it showed the name but not much else. I know Dreamspark exists, but that's pretty much it. Also I had to restart the game every time I lost since the Quit Game-Button does nothing for me. :c
I think this game would be greatly benefit from some more signposting. Maybe a glass in the middle of the table so players instinctively know where to put the drinks. Or a short tutorial where the manager or a single guest guides you through the first steps.
That said, I _really_ dig the soundtrack. Very smooth.
@shanzhai @thatfirey thanks so much for your feedback and we're glad you enjoyed the games style. We agree that a tutorial would be ideal as the first customer enters the bar to show the various interactions the user can make. @shanzhai we like your suggestion about pre-placing a glass on the countertop also, that would be a great hint to the player.
We've added some additional instructions to the games page to clarify some of the more confusing parts you've highlighted above. Given more time we would certainly add these changes in :)
The art and soundtrack are 👌👌 And I appreciated the art deco vibes. I really liked the idea that you need to connect a type of potion to an emotion.
I agree with the previous commenter that a tutorial is needed though... Sadly, I lost a bunch of times simply by taking the time to read and trying to understand the game. I wish it was possible to skip the cutscene when retrying because it made me wait every time I lost.
The leave game button is probably not suited for the web version btw :)
I love the graphic style and music in this game, although the gameplay itself can be quite difficult
@aviv-levy thanks for your feedback, super glad you liked the games vibes. Noted regarding the leave game button, I was actually trying to figure out why it wasnt working for the other user. I hadn't thought that it might be because of the web version, that's frustrating. Will defo make sure not to make that mistake in my next jam :)
Regarding the cut-scene this is a very good point and such an obvious QOL feature we should have included. We appreciate you taking the time to sit through it again to play however and we will update the game post jam to include this.
I've fixed the bug with being unable to restart the game when using a web browser and also enabled skipping the cutscene.
@hollowbeargames awesome, I'll give it another try :)
This reminds me a bit of the old bartender flash game. The art style is really cool and fits the setting, as well as the music. Takes some time to figure out the combinations, as hovering on everything takes time. But I could see how that might be intended as well. Cool entry!
@cresceda thanks so much for your feedback it means a lot to us. I think given more time we would have liked to implement a menu you can open to view recipe hints, which would help a lot with figuring out the combinations. Noted regarding the hovering time, perhaps the tooltip delay needs taken down a bit to make it faster?
@aviv-levy amazing, thanks for trying again. Going to give your entry a whirl now too :)
Art and sound are great and I love the Flair. I will need to play this a Little Bit more before Rating and giving you a proper Feedback!
this sure takes a bit to get... not mad, you only had 2 days. Id like to see this more fleshed out, but its impressive nonetheless, the art is so great. kudos
The Good: - Like the art and the atmosphere. - While simple, the starting cutscene is fun
The Not So Good: - gameplay was a bit frustrating - A lack of feedback made me completely unsure as to why I was getting a game over.
Design Notes: - A lack of tutorialization really brings this game down. It took me 2 tries to realize that I could hover over the emotion icons to know what they were. - The lack of any sort of feedback is I think the biggest problem the game has. I had no idea if I was getting drinks right or wrong, I would hand the dude a drink and suddenly he now has more emotions... I'd hand another drink and get a game over. Adding some sort of feedback to the player would go a long way. - Is the game timed? If there was some sort of timer or indicator of such I missed it.
TL;DR Fun aesthetic, fun design. The core gameplay loop is simple but has potential, but a lack of meaningful feedback makes the gameplay obtuse.
You are really great! The game turned out great!
This is an aesthetically beautiful game. Realising that I could hover over elements in the game to get a tooltip was a game changer (pardon the pun). This mechanic should really be highlighted for future players as I was quite confused until I discovered it.
The music suits the art style perfectly. I feel like it could have benefitted from some further sound design, though.
Overall, a great submission!
@locksmitharmy @human-writes-code @kirass @iellswo thank you all for your feedback, we really appreciate you taking the time to check out the game.
@iellswo particular thanks to you for such detailed feedback, we'll be taking this onboard for our next attempt for usre. Note: the game itself doesnt have a timer, but the customers emotions occur via a timer. If you get more than 3 emotions on a customer this triggers the end clause. I agree this needs better feedback.
The game has great visuals and music ! I found it balanced with all the tips you gave in the description  (after restarting twice because I forgot there was ingredients on the right :face_palm: )
Congrats !
I like the mood and the music a lot :) I also didn't realize at first that I could hover over different objects for descriptions, that and the lack of a tutorial are the game's main flaws in its current state. Still, nicely done considering the limitations of the jam!
@norah @orbitaldot thanks so much for your feedback. We really wished we'd allocated time earlier for a tutorial. Lesson learned for the next jam :)
Echoing the other comments here. Very nice aesthetic and cool soundtrack, but the gameplay was quite confusing. As others have stated, a tutorial and more feedback would have greatly helped. I do like the premise, focusing on the victims of the summons was an interesting take on the theme. Nice entry :)
Artwork and style is brilliant in this game, however like others I did struggle with trying to find the right combo for drinks very early into the game which made it hard to get into a rhythm.
That being said this great for a first time entry, keep it up!
"I love the visual aspect of the game and its atmosphere. I would like a smoother introduction of the player to the game rules, perhaps with a gradual introduction of new emotions and recipes for fulfilling NPC wishes. Nonetheless, great job!
I really love the concept and the visuals here, it's so fun. It was pretty inconsistent with how difficult it was, sometimes I won instantly and sometimes I lost quickly. There was also no way to restart a drink as far as I could see? I would love to play a full version of this!
