This was so much fun!!!! Everything from the gameplay to the pixelart to the juice to the music, it ruled and you absolutely nailed what you were going for. Just a complete blast to play and a lovely experience all around
The movement is really fun! Great stuff!
Awesome, awesome game. The level of Schmovement the team managed to capture in the game's deceptively simple movement system absolutely rules. Team Bugulon never disappoints!
As always, a really well done entry. A captivating main mechanic with satisfying movement a number of different uses that's just so fun to use. Never ceases to impress me how much you manage to fit into every game.
also art and audio are so good i love it sm ;;-;;
So cool. So so cool!!! It's just crazy what you can do in just 72 hours, wow!!!
by far the tightest and most polished plateformer i played during this jam, so far! its also very beautiful, i don't know what animal/creature the character is but i want a plushie of it <3 ! As someone that doesn't like plateforming gameplay i'm genuinely loving this game! even if i found the inputs a bit awkwards (maybe because i'm on azerty)
@rascarcapackdev Thanks you! You can modify your controls from the options menu. I'll add a note to the page to make it more obvious.
Sweet I liked it. A bit hard for casual brain, but nice arcade/puzzle
Ohhh I love this one so much!! The spritework, the music and sounds, the controls, it's all such a treat!! Great work!!
To be honest, I don't know how a game like this can be made in such a short period of time. There's so many aspects of polish and technology in addition to the number of mechanics that get added in with the level design's progression. I'm simply blown away. I'd would be curious into some insights because I would love to reach that level of productivity :)
Perfect jam game. Nothing else has topped this for me. Team Bugulon brings the quality pretty much every time.
Amazing game, really fun and snappy and the level of polish achieved in such a short time is insane. team bugulon never misses
This is insane, it's simply way too good :D Even the itch page looks just as delightful as the game (Team Bugulon sweep)
Holy molly the quality and amount of content in this game is crazy! the core mechanic feels great, and all the different block and enemies kept things fresh. My favorite were the rockets. I could play a full length version of this game. Well done
Holy quality! One of the most polished games i have played this Jam, not much i can say really its just great! I do have a bit of slowdown and that is that i experienced a little bit of slowdown on occasion while playing it but it didnt distract much from the fun i was having
Another polished and well made entry. It's always a pleasure to play something from y'all
Presentation was amazing all around. Loved the variety in visuals and the animations were charming as all heck. The audio was also cute
The mechanics are cool. Loved the variety in obstacles as well. Also loved how you guys managed to teach how each obstacle worked through level design alone. Speaking of which, I'd say the level design involved in the puzzles was great overall.
That said, I'm a little mixed on how so many rooms were completely skippable. But more importantly, I wasn't really a fan of how a good number of the levels could just be skipped by just moving downwards without doing anything else. I guess it feels good if you're trying to speedrun, but I felt it definitely impacts the flow of the game
Though I think my biggest issue is how it's so easy to accidentally miss levels entirely. There were quite a number of times where I pretty much just fell through the level and reached the next one before I could actually tell what was going on. I'm guessing this goes away on replay, but I think having atleast one small platform in some of these levels would've been really helpful.
All that said though, this was a great game. Kudos to the entire team
You guys have done it again. Absolutely stunning visuals, art, effects, polish... Masterclass level work in every new game you guys put out, I can't stress this enough. I am endlessly jealous of the level of quality you guys manage to hit every time. The area and enemy design is amazing, there's such a high diversity it's insane. Every animation feels so well paced and visually coherent. The music and sound effects are no exception either, really really nice to listen to throughout. The movement alone in this is so fucking fun. it's incredibly satisfying and expressive. I like it so much, to the point where I actually found myself disliking the enemies! The first few levels were some of my favorites, followed by some random individual levels in the later stages (like the ufo stage or the final stage that requires some precise directional input). I think the challenge the enemies provide is nice, but I was really impressed at the beginning of the game where i noticed that the enemies and obstacles thrown at me ended up being either 1. only useful to me, like the bombs, or 2. only interact with me by *pushing* me, like the fish and ufos. I think if the game focused on those kinds of elements and highlighted the quick pace and precise movement of the game, it would have been overall more enjoyable for me. Regardless, these are criticisms that would come more or less from a complete commercial game and not a 3 day game jam game. Almost none of this really impacts how impressed I am with the game. Really great stuff, I will always be looking forward to whatever you make next :)
A very addictive game. Everything is great here, from the graphics and sounds to the level design. I would love to play the larger version fully!! Probably the most enjoyable game of all that I have played on ludum.
I don't know how you managed to get all of the content in the game and have everything look and feel so great. Very cool concept, and it feels like a finished product! Very high marks for this one!
So many mechanics and polish, game quality is off the charts.
Okay, this one's the winner, lmao. Superbly polished movement mechanics, love how snappy the digging and the grapple feel, accentuated by that nice snipping sound effect. Love all the subtle nuances you gotta pick up on, like how the last dig before an opening will send you launching forward. Tons of amazing level mechanics introduced over the course of the game to keep things fresh, and I love how you were able to offer some genuinely tricky challenges with them since they were mostly for optional collectibles. Personal fav was probably those chomping goldfish, just so goofy, and it's always cool to have a character with similar abilities to your own. Presentation was also stelar, with fantastically colorful pixel art and cute character designs. Just an overall incredible package, amazing work!
This is such a high quality game! Very very polished, with stunning art, extremely fun to play, with a cool original mechanic and clever level design, attention to details on everything, from the animation to the menu options, and on top of that you were able to make sooo many levels! It really was a delight to find this game!
This game is INSANE. Well done on making it polished and fun the way it is!! From the music to the graphics and animations, to the levels, to the claw mechanic, to the way the game enables you to go crazy fast through levels if you are skilled enough, you all nailed it. I just felt a bit frustrated about the way the game punishes lack of level knowledge by leaving some things on the map accessible only if you react fast enough or know exactly where they are in advance, and if you mess up the execution once, you need to play the level again to try reaching it once more. Other than that, what an absolute fantastic entry you have!
WOW, this is incredibly stylish AND has really solid controls. I shouldn't be too surprised, I loved Critter Switcher previously, but this is an incredible feat in 72 hours. It reminds me a lot of Flinthook as far as the general use of a hookshot-kinda thing, although the entire rest of the game (puzzly nature, progressing through levels, etc) is entirely its own.
The music is great, the gameplay is solid as heck, the graphics are incredible... And there are so many levels!! Goodness, y'all did an amazing job here.
Awesome game!
Really high quality game! Reminded me a lot of Klonoa. Great work!
