Very fun little dungeon crawler! I liked the movement and the combat was really good! I also liked the level design quite a bit! Good game!

the guy from hell's paradise tries to escape funny dungeon (the game). jokes aside this was pretty polished, the final level felt like it dragged on for a bit too long but generally it was really good! (also the walls crushing you into a wall in the maze doesn't kill you, just pushes you through them)
Fun little game. After i figured out what to do in the first room. Sometimes there were rooms that aren't explained. But besides that. I ver much liked it
very good game. well scoped so not a lot of critique. music fit well . my eyes at the end :( you managed to fit a lot of interesting ideas into the game like red light green light and the frogger?(never played) level with the wood planks It was pretty fun :)
And so he killed two innocent pigeons.
fun game
There is a lot of trial and error involved in this game until one finds out what to do in a level. It was very hard to navigate the maze because it is so hard to tell where a gap is in these walls. I'd suggest making them shorter so you can see the floor, it would help a lot. The dashing also felt a bit weird since you had to walk while activating it, otherwise the character would dash on a spot. This made the level where you jump over the logs very hard, I often walked into the acid my accident. The very tall player hitbox made it difficult to navigate the arrow sections, and once I got hit by an arrow the knockback bounced me into another arrow, then into another arrow, killing me quite fast. The last level was a bit unintuitive, maybe you could add some NPC characters that move during the green light, but freeze once it shows red, to tell the player they should do the same. For these "pulling" thingies, it would help to show some particles to instantly grasp their effect and their range.
I do like the pixel art a lot, and you managed to put out very different levels there, it never felt repetetive! I also like the simple, yet effective idea of the walls closing in. Well done!
@floke thank you for this amazing feedback!
Pretty game ! That's impressive. I was a bit lost at the start, but it's fun !
Very polished and enjoyable gaming experience, kinda love the ambient. The art, level design, game mechanics and the animation are all so good. Though the floating logs jumping stage is pretty hard and the log's hitbox is quite small ig. Overall this is a pretty impressive game for the jam!
Those 2 pigeons were unexpected, but I don't disagree with the decision to put them there.
Loved the variaty of mechanics in the game, that green-red area got me quite stressed and pigeons helped me relax (I won't say what happened to them, maybe they survived)
The music is very relaxing for the trials, but I guess it does fit in a way. I liked this a lot. The red light/green light was probably the level that kept me on the edge of my seat the most.
The acid pool raft level took quite a few tries to line the dashes just right, I feel like the rafts should stop you, anything to help a little bit, otherwise it feels a little unfair.
The ninja's hitbox extends to his whole body, which is less than ideal for this kind of perspective, the hitbox should cover his lower half, otherwise there'll be issues with the arrows hitting him when he's clearly standing before them.
Other than that, definitely a fun little game!
Ooh I like the literal take on the theme! The variety of obstacles/mechanics in each level is pretty awesome considering the timeframe. There were a few times where I dashed but the ninja didn't move, leading to a death, but I appreciate that you don't lose a ton of progress on failure. It's a fun time - well done!
Sadly, I cannot escape from the title screen. It seems like it frozen or something like that. I've tried clicking, double-clicking, right-clicking and pressing various keys. Doesn't work in both Firefox and Chromium :sob: Screenshot 2023-10-06 at 13-40-41 Escape The Walls by Sashunyar.png
@brainles-etertainment Ohh, seems to be a resolution issue. Try to go fullscreen, you should click exactly on blue button right below transparent one in the bottom right corner of the screen. Let us know if you managed to play our game.
Very nice and well-polished game. The atmosphere created by the music and the dark theme is great. Some of the hitboxes are a bit unforving and I couldn't make it through the red-green-light area, but the rest was a lot of fun and just the right difficulty that's challenging but doable.
Fun game, some of the levels were quite challenging. It generally took a couple tries to figure out what to do and then to actually do it without dying.
Pretty nice game! :) I liked very much the atmosphere! The text really hits me and make a deep vibe with the soundtrack, wich i found to be very pleasant! The level designs were pretty inventive too, yet the one of the platforms over the green thing made me a little frustrated, but I managed to pass through it and was a really good experience! :) Congrats for the entrie, pretty cool work!
Fun idea... I liked the dash feeling... i am now free! :D
Wow, a lot of levels in the game, I like it. Interesting concept, altough it's weird that the direction of the ninja is not preserved during movement, I need to aim the dash (basically it's jumping) every time. I had a lot of problems with acid river and moving platforms, always was over-dashing the platform and dying. Other rooms were cool, expecially red light/green light room, that was super tense. It's interesting that you didn't mix mechanics in any of the rooms, like having both acid river and pidgeons in some rome, while the labyrith and shooting darts in the another, etc. I like the ending, it seems like there could be a sequel for it.

Am I trully free? I don't know. As long as my guts tell me so. Great game my dudes and dudettes.
Cool, now i can freely eat my pizza! Cool game mechanics, nice plot. Cheers!
Neat little game the last level was a little hard to see on with the brightness level, but I enjoyed it overall!
