LD54 — Limited Space

Limited in Space by MattHartley 2023-10-04T15:23:40Z

This is what we called the madlad, making a game using only C with a graphical library and some dependencies is already super challenging but how did you even write this in just 3 days, from scratch? The mechanics and physics are just too good. Probably one of the best game i've ever seen so far in this jam.

Limited RAM Developer by Diccuric_Sigeon 2023-10-05T08:28:35Z

Such an original and funny game. Gotta love the concept, artworks and how you name those applications. Though there's a problem that while i was opening a bunch of applications to test what could possibly go wrong, the game crashed with division by zero error, idk if this is intentional or not but yeah, this is a kind of cool way to simulate the system crashing. Overall very cool game!

Tables 95 by Steven Garberg 2023-10-07T09:12:52Z

Love the aesthetics and the way this game is executed. Simple game but very fun and pretty wrist-burning to play. Well done! I'm going to delete Unity out of my computer with this one!

Crazy? by Danial Jumagaliyev 2023-10-13T15:54:31Z

truly impressive by how this game was written in pure C and all aspects of the game were literally done by just one person. I kinda love the concept here which is really creative, feel like this game is so underrated. The game is so well polished and really enjoyable, you even made an online leaderboard! What a madlad.

PHYLLON by bradjste 2023-10-12T08:34:25Z

This is surely a pretty impressive and creative concept. It took me quite a while to understand how to create plants that have the closest match with the orders. I think the game should have some kind of preview for the minis when the player adjusts stuff so they can know what they're doing but overall, i love it. Well done!

Terrain Tactics by Asieke 2023-10-07T08:28:13Z

The concept is pretty neat and creative i can say, artwork and bgm are fine, but the game is kind of lacking in sfx. Still, this was made in 24h deadline so the game itself is great enough. I got the game frozen after some rounds but overall, this is a pretty neat entry for the jam you got there!

Clause-Sphere-Phobic by eggsscrambled 2023-10-07T08:51:06Z

What an underrated game! The gameplay is simple yet unique and well executed, with fancy artwork and clean sfx. This is super addictive and fun to play, probably one of my favorites in this jam. Congrats! Screenshot_20231007_155931.png

Exodus by Lachlan James 2023-10-07T09:47:49Z

Gotta love the atmosphere, especially the music which fits with the game so well and kind of brings some chill vibes, incredibly done in just 48 hours. All aspects of this game are executed and polished so well and i think this game really has some great potential in the future if there is more post-jam development on it, feeling like a pretty much completed game. Love it!

Truly a πŸ—ΏπŸ· moment, very relaxing πŸ‡πŸŠπŸ§Š ...

Packed to the Gills by npckc 2023-10-05T10:04:37Z

Unarguably the best game for reaction speed test ever made, this game can't be described by just words! It's just too perfect for just a 72h deadline. Everything in this game is super outstanding and incredibly creative. You guys even put haiku in it and it was make in ren'py, it's just, how..? If this game doesn't win the jam, I'll go depression lmao.

Snowlord by minjutin 2023-10-05T09:12:10Z

What a cute little game, easily to become one of the best game i've ever played on this jam so far. The blending between tower defense and minesweeper mechanics makes this game turn out pretty unique. Gotta love the detailed tutorial, the story and the artwork..., the music also fits well. Can just say that everything in this game is all super enjoyable, incredibly outstanding for just a solo project. Beat it after 3 attps lol.

Project Minima by BlueDandelion 2023-10-08T15:11:42Z

Pretty fun to play and it kind of reminded me of Celeste, plus the difficulty of this game is pretty comparable to Celeste, i can say. Some levels feel impossible since there's a level that has an exit on the top-right corner and two spinning saws and some spikes in front of it. The position of those saws moved a bit to the right over time since i died a lot trying to pass them, so it was impossible for me to pass that level. Anyway, the artwork is super clean and well polished, with smooth animation, love the sfx too. Well done!

STARCHILD by konfekt 2023-10-12T08:06:39Z

Love the story and sketches, the story is concise but deep enough. Still, i think the game could bring more mood if there were some kind of artwork throughout the story line and some background music for the atmosphere. Overall, this is a very cute game and has some potential to be a real visual novel game based on this story line...

Escape The Walls by purplexy 2023-10-04T09:41:55Z

Very polished and enjoyable gaming experience, kinda love the ambient. The art, level design, game mechanics and the animation are all so good. Though the floating logs jumping stage is pretty hard and the log's hitbox is quite small ig. Overall this is a pretty impressive game for the jam!

Limited Dimensions by Sovunia 2023-10-03T15:41:07Z

Pretty well done by just one person, dope looking transitions between screens and the mechanics are typically good for a platform game. Though the orange block falls pretty slow.

Free Him by Rena 2023-10-05T09:37:05Z

Lovely game, cute looking art and the basic movement felt pretty satisfying. Yeah the salmon sprite is just a black square while i'm running on Firefox but overall nice entry for the jam you got there! Pretty well done by just one person.

Dino Extinction by Ryn 2023-10-06T15:22:35Z

Gotta love the dual mode you got there! The artwork is pretty polished i can say and bgm, sfx also fit well. Simple but fun to play. However, the game is still pretty buggy as someone mentioned about it before and the rng should be more uniformly distributed. I think the need for a power-up system or craters lifespan would be some kind of nice features for the game so it could be more balanced. Overall this is a solo project so yeah, impressive!

THE RAT - Adventures in a limited space by Magalix 2023-10-03T15:06:18Z

This is a quite pretty well-polished game! Funny sfx, cute menu music and art style, the gameplay concept itself is pretty neat. There are a bit collision issues but overall this is a great entry for the jam you got there!
