I had fun. I liked the mood and that we could have different playable characters, and collect gems during the game. but I got stuck at floor 4, and the game kept taking me there from the menu, so I had no gems to help me beat the stage. :((
Overall a great game (note: there is a bug when you lose and try to play again without restarting the game it throws you to the level where you lost with no items)
Thank you all for the kind words! :) I put out a patched zip file that fixes the leveling bug, thanks again!
Broken glasses carried me through my abysmal combo making ability. I love the graphics; all the art looks very polished!
A fun and pretty well made little game. I would like to see my score when the game is game over. But overall a good jam game. Well done.
Great concept and pretty well execution! I think there is good potential here. I like the cute graphics and nice music. The gameplay is quite random. To pass you need to start a huge chain reaction, but it's more a question of luck than skill. Despite this, the game left a pleasant impression, I hope you can develop this concept in the future. Also, I recomend to add some screenshots on the page to have more feedback.
Good game! I like this gameplay!Very beautiful game graphics!
Hi, I think I'm unable to download the zip file. Not sure if I'm the only person having this problem. Update: Sorry all, it was my problem! I can download the game now. Overall, pretty solid gameplay!
I really like how full of juice this was and the depth (pun intended) it had with the different characters swap/mine and items. Good job
Love the design, really solid sprites - overall great game.
@atoxigner i could download it just now, so pretty sure it works.
I feel like the mining 3x3 ability on anubis is really overpowered since the score is based on the number of tiles you destroyed. With this strategy I went on the stage, where I couldn`t fit all the artifacts. But at this point it is nearly impossible to predict any combos with lining up the tiles. Also the items exhibition reminded me the Bookworm Adventures Deluxe. Nice!
hell yeah very satisfying once I got the glasses! ^^

Oh, a match-3! I don't think I've ever seen those on LD before.
Oh wow I had a hard time putting this down again. The spectacles feel almost mandatory, or at least they make everything so much more satisfying :D
I tried playing the web version but only got a 404.
Played the Windows version though, it's really fun! This is a really tight match-3 and I liked the mechanic of having just a limited set of swaps/breaks for each level... Then the items kind of took me by surprise with how much more interesting they can make things!! You could probably make a full game out of this, you know...
Yeah same here I get 404 about missing index.html:
``` Uh oh!
If you're seeing this error, it means I can't find your index.html file.
This usually means you created your .zip file by zipping the entire folder, and index.html is somewhere like MyGame/index.html. If you recreate your .zip with index.html file in the root, this error should go away.
See the embedding guide for more details. ludumdare.com/resources/guides/embedding/ 404 Not Found ```
I really enjoyed this submission. The audio was spot on for the mood of the game, being relaxing and calm, with rewarding SFX on combos. Once I got to grips with the mechanics and scoring, I realised just how powerful the broken sunglasses were, allowing me to complete all the floors and finish the game. The game could probably be balanced a little better in that regard, but it did feel good to watch all the combos going off. The game did start to stall and slow during the late game mega-combos though. Overall, a really fun submission. It is always a good sign when people finish your jam game. Well done!
The tiles felt really good to play with both in terms of visuals and audio, and chaining together crazy combos was really satisfying (although at times it felt like it was more about luck than strategy, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but something I noticed). I really liked the art for the little animals, having Anubis blankly staring at the board while I got a 40x chain of Ra made me smile.
