Pretty fun! Love the cutsey style, and the difficulty felt just right! I really liked it!

I did run into a bug where like, five customers spawned at once and their orders overlapped so I couldn't tell what any of them wanted except the far right one. Okyakusama.png

Very good on the theme. Nice graphics and sound. Super hard, or maybe I'm just stupid

nanamaki 2025-04-08 03:40

Master piece!! Love all the cute characters and cute visual effect and sound!! But 屏幕截图 2025-04-08 123547.png屏幕截图 2025-04-08 102646.png

Go really chaotic since the shop street owner came. Love the feeling of getting overwhelmed. And since I found no dustbin and to spare space from a fryer filled with coal I also serve thyoi as a coal dustbin lmao.

beautiful art, nice sound, good vibes all around! EAT RAW PEPPERS!

fupi 2025-04-08 13:37

This game is absolutely gorgeous, adorable and hilarious!! The sounds and bouncy visuals are super satisfying. I love how the simple cozy cooking game mechanics are turned on their heads and transformed into an intense action game x3

One thing is that the game was lagging a little bit, so the custom cursor felt pretty sluggish to move around (it moved like a third of a second after I'd moved my mouse), that probably made this game twice as tiring as it was supposed to be so I had a particularly hard time keeping up

I would have appreciated some more clarity early on about what order the mashup-mashups are meant to be made in (I had to retry the coin pyramid like 5 times until I got it), like maybe using parenthesis or zebra-striping the colors to match mashup parts together, but at least there isn't much of a penalty to missing orders so you can experiment.

I really fell in love with the game when I started having to cook emoji and coins and timers and tempura tempura multiple times lol

Oh one more thing, in the segments where there's a lot of customers at the same time, it becomes confusing where the orders are supposed to be placed, because the speech bubbles go over the customers, and they're always placed one spot to the right of the actual customer, so I ended up making a lot of mistakes because of that, also when the orders get bigger the speech balloons overlap eachother and there's no way to bring them up to read them.

All in all though this was a beautifully surreal experience that made me smile a lot!!

Well done! I played your game on stream today (ManishaGameDev). Super charming and fun gameplay!

maybeagoose 2025-04-09 02:54

Boss fignt is awesome

2025-04-09 05:43

Great art, great game, well scoped for a jam to include gobs of polish. It's also quite funny, I love the assholey dude who comes in and orders ridiculous stuff. Props to you for figuring out how to add boss fights to the genre :P

bongard22 2025-04-09 06:14

Had a great time playing on stream, time stamped vod here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2427848024?t=1h41m37s

sevadusk 2025-04-09 17:33

There's so much art here and the level of polish is amazing. The addition of boss fights was a nice innovation, and overall, it was a nice and relaxing game!

tetracold 2025-04-09 20:53

Super cute loved the artsyle as usual, I like the level of interactivity! very cute and relaxing vibes

The game moved at just the right pace to keep me engaged, I love the twist it took with using ui elements as ingredients, I found it really funny and creative, the ending was also great.

I somehow managed to softlock myself on the first run, not sure how I did it. The game is very polished tho!

2025-04-11 09:29

I never thought I would have to pull up a notepad to make sure I properly got the mixes right. It was such a fun time with unique, silly elements!! LOVE IT. I wish there was a zen mode where you can play forever.

rhoka 2025-04-11 09:54

Just getting around to rating you now, but absolutely fantastic job here! The art is all so pretty and cohesive. You tutorialize things quite well and the twists you uncover as you slowly work through the game are excellent. I love the fact that the words animate in such a way that their movements describe what the word is like Tempura boiling or And smushing together. The characters look great and the way the whole environment shakes and rattles when you drop an order is really neat! When we played it there were just the words and seeing you in some later streams it was very smart to add the parentheses into the orders. Since they're basically equations if makes it just a little bit easier to understand while still being complex enough to be a solid challenge. Oh and last note you might want to disable the game scene underneath when you get to the final ending. I could still interact with the kitchen behind the vast emptyness off the post-tempura-ed earth haha. Overall really great entry and definitely one of my faves this jam!

catusfelony 2025-04-11 16:32

Saw this on Rincs' stream yesterday and then gave it a whirl myself and it is SO good, what a mind bender, to introduce a concept that's made for basically every Ludum Dare and go crazy with it like this. Masterpiece.

tokto 2025-04-11 18:55

It's a cute game, but it doesn't let you relax)

2025-04-11 19:30

I LOVE this game. Super cute and incredibly polished while also not boring. Also how did you do that with the font bouncing when moving the mouse over it? Never seen that before but it's so incredible, I can't get enough of it 😂

2025-04-11 19:32

Great game! Loved it!

weefairyfabi 2025-04-11 20:09

This is so adorable! From the beautiful art to the matching sound effects, this game is so well polished!! Well done to the team and now I am craving Tempura haha

cataclysmicknight 2025-04-11 21:19

Ah, I see what happened here. The two of you made a mash up/tempura combo that was so incredible that it stopped time for two weeks, and thus you were able to make this game so incredibly polished in every way. It's silly, it's adorable, it's extremely stressful but also casual, it works really well... Honestly my ONLY complaint is that I never knew what to do when I burnt something 🤣 Oh, and for some reason I kept forgetting that tempura meant "throw it in flour first" 😅😅😅😅😅

This is MAGNIFICENT, and seriously, one incredible feat for a weekend!

missfire 2025-04-11 22:28

Wow! That was really impressive! The art is so pleasant and cute, and the gameplay is engaging. I enjoyed figuring out the customers’ requests – it felt like a logical expression with conditions. I also loved the creative twist of using UI elements as part of the cooking process. At some point, it got a bit tricky because some customers’ requests overlapped with those of earlier customers... but it didn’t ruin the overall experience. This game is wonderful, thank you!

2025-04-11 23:36

This is the most innovative take on the theme I've seen so far (with the triple sense of depth in deep fry, going deeper into customers orders, and the multiple depths of mashing up and frying lol)! And also a great twist on the genre (which I already love). The boss fights were amazing... The art is so dang cute!!! The humour is on point and, as others have said, it's impressive how much you've managed to polish the game in such a short time. An almost all five stars for me!!

2025-04-12 01:58

DAMN this game is reaaaaally well made. The graphics were CRAZY good, the game progression felt very good, escalating complexity well, the audio was good, the take on the theme was really clever and the boss fight format was INSANE. Had so much fun playing this, although sometimes I could not move things around the way I wanted to, which was a bit frustrating (I almost burnt my last tempura because I could not grab it well). Magnificent entry!

mao 2025-04-13 01:35

Super creative take on the genre! I feel like there's tons of stuff that could be done with this concept, but this was the perfect length for the jam. Assembling all the ridiculous recipes felt really satisfying to pull off.

You cooked yet again! Absolutely brilliant game, gorgeous graphics and font manipulations

Some later recipes were difficult to follow. I feel like visual representation is king in cooking games, but then it would take away from the puzzle element here so it's fine as it is.

Have no clue how you managed to do all of that in 72 hours!

Can't wait to see more cool stuff from you :sunglasses:

Wow amazing how much content you were able to accomplish in such a short amount of time, great work had a blast playing really made me think.

yorsh 2025-04-17 13:55

Very complete game! Graphics and feedback are on point, gameplay works really well, and there is a little story with a fun ending. The boss are fun too. Amazing polish.

Finally a great take on this (imo worst ever) theme, most games are either not very related to the theme at all, or just happens to take place deep below. Your idea is both original and match the theme perfectly.

Level 2 felt kind of overwhelming, suddenly there are *() and (() and )* things happening with timer. Tutorial is a bit light, some explanations on the game page just in case could probably help.

Congrats!

2025-04-18 09:38

Absolutely gorgeous art, impressed that you did that in such a short time!!!

daniel-alhadeff 2025-04-19 18:22

This is amazing – the recursion-frying element had me actually laughing out loud.

jeremy-ryan 2025-04-24 03:55

I didn't get to finish making my shrimp tempura tempura tempura tempura tempura tempura tempura tempura tempura tempura tempura tempura tempura tempura tempura tempura tempura tempura tempura...

tempuratempuratempuratempuratempuratempuratempuratempuratempuratempuratempuratempuratempuratempura.png

As always amazing polish work, all the little background items you could interact with were fantastic. The build up of the game's base systems to more and more absurd ends was great, and the ending was the cherry on top.

Great luck in the jam, this is definitely one of my favorites!

wendel-scardua 2025-04-24 21:17

Loved how quickly everything became chaotic. Felt very dumb when the boss asked for a timer tempura; I thought I had to, like, combine the ingredients to make the shape of the timer 😅, only when a following order asked for a coin tempura the penny dropped (pun partially intended)

2025-04-25 03:51

I'm really glad that even my punishments didn't feel too punishing and how crazy everything turned so quickly! your style is so clean and cute the color palette and all work so well with the cozy cooking game appeal I enjoyed it so much!

100th-coin 2025-04-25 20:38

Okay wow. The moment I had to use the timer as an ingredient I fell in love with the absolute insanity of this game. There are so many details that it's incredible. Everything wiggles a bit when the mouse hovers over it! The text, the buttons, it's delightful. The silhouettes of characters walking down the street. And oh my gosh, the character designs are amazing. I think my favorite is the guy who owns the street. Ah- and I love the logic puzzles of figuring out what to combine with what to make the wacky recipe the customer is ordering.

My recording ended abruptly by accident, so It's a two-part video (my bad!), but I recorded myself playing to give extra feedback. This is easily one of my favorite games of the jam.

And again, whoops! It's two videos.

Incredible as usual, I always look forward to playing your games! I had no idea where this one was going to go, it really surprised me!

Clicking and moving things around the screen felt really good, and finding out the different things I could grab was really insane.

Fantastic characters and artwork~

spica 2025-04-28 17:33

Hello there! Did not participate this time sadly, but came here to say that I'm as always amazed by the amount of polish you do for your jam entries! Good work guys! Congrats with very good results!
