The music is scary, and the overall concept is a bit horrorish. It's like some daring game, should I move forward or not? It's hard to anticipate when the walls will cave in, but I had fun playing it.

Hi there !
Nice concept, works really well with the theme. One thing that I would have liked is a progress percentage of the current level, it's hard to know how far you are in a level. Checkpoints at each levels would have been cool too.
Good job on the game !
It's a quite nice interpretation of the theme. The music is cool and sets a suspenseful atmosphere, but I think something with more energy would fit better here. After all, you are literally running for your life .
The game played well, and I didn't really notice any bugs. I think some of the colliders could be a bit smaller - it's kinda easy to get "caught" on the edges of things.
Good work!
Nice work!
I skip a heartbeat in the intense moments!
Actually suspenseful and fun, good job! I too would have enjoyed checkpoints and a better visual reference for level progress, at least I managed level 2 :-)
Cool concept! Really tests your patience. Made it to level 4 after a few runs!
Game always keeps you on your toes. Simple concept but works very well. I am surprised how much the music adds suspense to the concept. I do also agree that adding some checkpointing between levels might encourage people to continue playing through some of the more difficult levels, but really that just depends on your intentions and if you want people to reach some sort of ending or just want it to be an endless "how far can you get" kind of experience. Keep up the good work!
This game is a lot of fun, and the trick is to not rush and take as few steps as possible. Make sure to only move to safe spots and wait until the next set of traps open before moving again.
This is simple and elegant and fun, I actually caught myself trying again and again to beat my own result. Maybe some more statistics like distance and the like will make it even more engaging, like more opportunities to track my own development. The mood is great, feels a bit like a movie scene at times. The graphics are symbolic but they work. Some checkpoints would also provably boost replayability even further.
A really good idea, that fit very well with the theme and it's fun. Maybe a timer and different collision to avoid the vibrating objects could be nice (if it's not intended). Good job
interesting game and its concept
Great work, fits the theme well, the moment when you see a new non-standard shape and have to figure out where you need to stand to take advantage of it is tense and fun.
level 1 was a little too long, i started doubting if there even is 2nd level xd, anyway i really like the idea, really nice and solid entry.
@marcodeevil some people have noted that it would be good to know what your progress was in a level-- if you could have known how close you were to the next level, would it have still felt long?
Probably yes :D :dog:
Really liked this game, it was good fun seeing how far I could run before I needed to find a safe zone. Had a lot of fun playing, some additional mechanics like dash or a slight warning when the crusher was coming would have made it even better.
Scary game! I liked it a lot, it was pretty exciting rushing as far as I could before going into a safe spot to steer clear of the squishies.
Very good game, very addictive. Managed to make it to endless. I do wish there was some kind of points though.
We thought about making a game with moving walls too and discarded because we thought it would complicate things too much. Didn't think about this approach tho! Nice idea! Congrats!
Fun game with original mechanics! I enjoyed playing and got to the "endless" level. I liked the different shapes that could be used to find a safe place.
It was rather easy to play, since there was no rush - one could just take it one obstacle at a time. Perhaps it would have been fun if some things would get progressively faster or if there was a timer of some sort. Or, perhaps something could chase you from the bottom of the screen as well! :open_mouth:
Anyway, well done!
Fun idea! Though a bit too easy, felt more like playing green-light red-light than trying to find a place to hide. x) Even if you didn't find anywhere safe to hide, there is a free spot at the bottom of the screen at all times, so the crushers were just something to make you wait between obstacles. Levels were pretty long but they were also all very similar, I don't know if there's an end but I could have kept going forever anyway kdsk. I feel like with a little more variation this could be very very good!
I wonder who's behind those crushers.

@fupi thanks for the feedback (and the picture!)
Thanks for submitting the game to the stream! If you wanted to watch it again in the future heres the vod timestamped to your game

I had a pretty fun time once I got the hang of the mechanics. Even got to level 2! I would definitely appreciate some UI elements like a pause menu and such. But otherwise really well done!
The suspense is really intense. Even though it's just shapes it feels like there's a story here. I was actually surprised by how immersed I got, well done! It reminded me a bit of minigames in JRPG games. I actually quite enjoyed that there was no time limit so I could take it slow and figure out how the elements work. However I can also imagine it being fun if there was a system that scores you based on how fast you move / how long you survive or some other sort of "reward" mechanic.
I really like puzzle games that involve some player exploring and movement! Some of the puzzles repeated a lot, which made me wonder if they were coming out randomly. It was fun learning to navigate the puzzles, I liked the tension and music!!
@pumpkinink Each "level" has four obstacles, that can appear in any rotation (0,90, 180, or 270), until you get to the fifth "endless" level that contains ALL of the obstacles
Really enjoyed this. Easy to play and felt a sense of suspense when trying not to get crushed.
I've published a post-jam version that addresses some of the feedback I've gotten.
- @pumpkinink it turns out, one of the level 1 puzzles was in the rotation twice, so appearing much more often than it should have! (fixed) - @ategon to your points, I have improved the art (a bit...) and made it so that you can restart the game using the keyboard, instead of reaching for your mouse - @fupi There's no longer a safe spot at the bottom of the screen! - @papaver it DOES get a little faster as you go on, but perhaps not quickly enough. - @rusty2117 There are now points! - @braktheman @ampo not quite what you're suggesting, but the level now includes a decimal element, so you can gauge how far into the level you are. - @fabula-rasa I re-worked some of the collision shapes, I hope it helped
