I'm just drowning & pressing F5 over and over - before I destroy my mouse button: am I on the wrong track? :scream_cat:

svenerik 2025-04-07 15:25

@leorean "It should be on the right track, but it's designed for the highest difficulty of clicking—Dark Clicking Souls level and it should be possible, if I didn't see myself and someone else completing it in my dreams instead of reality, but who knows.. the two blend into one these days. 😇

prunus-padis 2025-04-07 15:28

Man the clicking is too hard, so i cheated and used a macro to spam click to see the end.

Imo you should have just made it little easier so people can see the ending :D And the pumping was a good difficulty level!!!!

The art style and mood is great!

svenerik 2025-04-07 15:34

@prunus-padis I got a bit feverish, so decided it's it, no more changes or anything yesterday~ Let's say I don't consider the macro a cheat there, all good. The ending is only for the chosen ones~ :spy: Thanks!

troloze 2025-04-07 15:44

Very simple concept, but decently executed. I really liked that the last segment wasn't about clicking. The sprites look great, the concept is funny (a prank about letting water in a _submarine_ is funny af). Only issue is that I probably have a repetitive strain injury now :V

svenerik 2025-04-07 17:50

@troloze Thank you~ Hopefully you'll get over the clicking induced injury asap! Also remember to book a visit to some submarine tour!

onngd 2025-04-07 23:30

the idea is good, but I didn't really figure out the controls. the visuals and sounds are cool, respect!

robertino 2025-04-08 03:52

I like art style!

svenerik 2025-04-08 08:14

@onngd The first screens only mechanic is to press a button that's there fast enough, there's not much to that, I guess I could have written that down~ Thanks tho

@robertino Thank you!

prvaak 2025-04-08 11:14

Sadly, my old fingers are unable to get through the first door :( I sure practiced my F5 skills :)

julienlussiez 2025-04-08 11:55

Graphics are great. The concept is interesting with this interactive narration and the feeling of oppression but I couldn't get through the first door, I wish I could have seen more!

svenerik 2025-04-08 16:48

@prvaak That's fine, not everyone is made for fingering their keyboard, now that I think about it.. f5 minigame would have been nice too.

@julienlussiez Thank you! Don't worry, there's not that much behind it, just some fellas & doors & pumps & life.

shores 2025-04-08 16:58

"It's a prank bro." LMAO! It was too difficult for me, I had to ask my older brother to beat the level for me. Thanks for the experience! Good job!

svenerik 2025-04-09 07:21

@shores It's all part of a bigger prank, you're welcome and thank you~

tireks 2025-04-09 08:34

I for sure pulled a muscle trying to escape! ahahhaahahah so fun! nice!

cammin 2025-04-09 09:13

I really had to pull out my expert mario party skills there, but enjoyed seeing it work out! Gave my right arm a workout, haha.

If I had to give it criticism, it's that it contains some trial-and-error where you're trying to figure out what to do before failing and trying again; I won by first failing and then preparing my mouse at the correct position to maximize my chances of winning. Maybe a 3-2-1 countdown might be good? But overall, it's an experience that will stay with me :)

svenerik 2025-04-09 19:14

@tireks A worthy sacrifice. Thank you.

@cammin Thank you and you're welcome for the workout. Yeah, Imagine it would be better for having a countdown, but that would have ruined my submarine sudden death immersion, but probably I'll do that next time, if I ever make a silly game like this again.

catusfelony 2025-04-09 20:02

I do wish there was a restart button at least 😅 I too had to pull out the macros. What a bunch of pranksters!

fantasia-imagine 2025-04-09 20:08

it's so hard and it's worse without the restart button. But i like the concept !!

houmgaor 2025-04-09 20:24

I like the vibe around this game. The game concept is great, on first play I did not see were to click and started panicking with the water level rising, and had a good laugh in front of the game over screen. I guess the game is working then

I did not succeed on passing the first level after that, and didn't want to cheat, the difficulty is really hardcore from the start!

heiden-bzr 2025-04-09 20:29

Do I get it right, it's a clicking game? Well, I guess there are different genres.

svenerik 2025-04-10 10:55

@catusfelony I don't actually know why I didn't put it there, but I did have that in mind at one point, but then a sudden revelation of no restart button hit me, don't still know why. Thank you for playing though!

@fantasia-imagine I mean if you're a hardcore clicker it's pretty easy, but otherwise indeeed, may be a bit silly of a hard game, thank you for liking the concept, if there's one to it!

@houmgaor It's the panic game. Dark souls of clicking. There's another minigame that's less annoying, but only for the macro users I guess.

@heiden-bzr The start yes, there's also sliding after it for real complexity. You may have gotte nthe first level idea right, I think it is a clicking game.

d0vid 2025-04-10 16:04

Was about to get RSI from tremble-clicking, then I didn't understand what to do with the pump and had to do it again :skull_crossbones: :skull_crossbones: :skull_crossbones:

"It's just a prank bro"

The prank:

svenerik 2025-04-11 06:29

@d0vid That's the way! I hope you could keep your hand and didn't have to amputate, but I guess you can continue with the other hand then! Life's a prank~

weefairyfabi 2025-04-11 20:19

Omg those sound effects are haunting! I immediately drowned watching my character sprite change with every click, this game is so morbidly great haha. Maybe I am just not poor enough but I tried so many times and never freed my poor character but still, I was hooked on trying for a solid 5/10 minutes just spamming the mouse buttons. Great job!

foursay 2025-04-12 05:14

I like the vibe, unfortuntely I am not sure what else can I do other than smashing the 1 button I have... I saw some comments mentioning "slide" but I haven't found any?

Love the mood though, great job!

fupi 2025-04-12 15:09

"did you enjoy the prank" BVFVFFFFF amazing, this game felt like it was laughing in your face the entire time. I don't know if I'm proud to admit it but I did actually finish the game with no macros, but I had to hold the mouse with one hand and flex my other arm so hard that it twitched as fast as possible; and that STILL didnt guarantee that I'd win!

svenerik 2025-04-13 12:16

@weefairyfabi Thank you, they're mostly modified effects, so I can't take full credit from them, just made them suitable or added tiny bits. I was kind of ill during ludum, so my thought was to make something simple yet hard haha. Thanks again!

@foursay Thanks~ The slide is on the "third level". Which is a water pump with no clicking~ as a reward.

@fupi Thank you. Yeah my had twitched a lot too while testing, that's how it goes, had to test if it's posssible, it was all a big prank, even this game.

Thanks again & Merry new week soon

oter 2025-04-13 20:44

I didn't beat it but the first time playing, I had no idea what to do. Because the first two screens were "press any button" screens, I tried that. Then I clicked helplessly on the door while my character started to drown. I had just figured out what to do two clicks before the character died and at the death screen I burst out laughing! Not your intended effect, I'm sure, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

There's something about jam games, because there's no dev time to explain stuff or tutorialize, where being dropped in and figuring it out just makes the game great, and this game does that perfectly.

yancharkin 2025-04-13 21:16

Ha-ha-ha! I had a feeling it would end that way. Lucky no one was around while I was playing - I probably looked hilarious!

jag 2025-04-14 05:29

I like your art style, and you created a good mood to the game! It was a short and sweet game with a cute vibe. But the difficulty is way way waaay over-tuned. I did beat the game, but it required more than 10 clicks per second in order to advance to the next screen, which is only achievable on a touch screen doing a double tap (or an auto-clicker). This is not possible for the average person, so you're alienating most people trying to enjoy your game, and not because they didn't try hard enough to understand your game or "get gud", but because it's physically impossible for most people.

The ending was funny at least!

bob152 2025-04-14 13:36

Beat the game and didn't get RSI I call that a win :D. Art looks great, and the ending is funny!

hexstart 2025-04-15 21:21

Happily I played my fair share of cookie clicker back in the day, so I know how to do this :sunglasses: I liked the art style, and clicking feedback in particular, although it took me 3 refreshes to notice that I'm supposed to click the button, and not the door/anywhere.
