One of da best bradar very cool!
Real gamers don't need to rotate their heads, put all points on the music!
Oh I love this! The audiovisual design is fantastic and abilities as a resource you manage in real time is a neat idea. The chat window also has some gems in it. I can tell you've really enjoyed making this!
Takes a while to get the hang of, but once you get used to it it's really cool! When I figured I could turn with the joystick I was like :o
This game got a very cool vide there. The way you let the players to interact with the game is very new and interesting to me. Good Job.
IMHO. It's a bit inconvenient to do everything with just one mouse. It would be a bit more enjoyable if the movement was transferred to WASD and the camera was rotated with the ARROWS, like on a slot machine :)
Great visuals and content!
Holy shit you cooked
Side note: i have an old laptop with a touchscreen, and that was quite a good fit! unfortunately, the camera stick would move away because under the hood it thinks that me pressing somewhere else on the screen is the mouse teleporting. multitouch also didnt work, but that might be my computer's fault.
what i'm saying is, fix those two and release this on mobile!
wow, really wild and brutal early internet art style! love the realistic panel, I always play with those rod and the sliders
Very nice, but the controls are very inconvenient.
i'm not really into horror games, but this was good!
I was eaten by a dinosaur in a dark labyrinth, and I was scared. The game looks unusual, and the sounds perfectly complement the game and set the mood.
This was super relaxing to play. You really sold the vibe of being a web diver roaming around. My only wish is that you could move using WASD so I wouldn't have to move my mouse back and forth so much for simple movement. Well done!
I got lost really fast after I started messing with the buttons and put the game in Russian. I thought it was an effect. But I think I missed out on the tutorial. Eventually I figured out what all the buttons did and managed to out smart the T-Rex. Could feel their breath on the back of my neck every step of the way. Just the right amount of tension. Really well done. I love the webcore art!
You guys definitely dialed in on an aesthetic perfectly. I like the power transfer mechanic, although it would be nice if it went beyond "dump into hacking to hack, then dump back into camera/walking". Still, the time pressure of that supported the horror element, as did the janky interface for walk/look and the limited FOV. I feel that the main detractor from the game was the lack of signposting the objectives. Something like a minimap would have gone a long way, or some other form of visual indicator the player can work with to see where to go. As it stands there was no information to help me decide how to navigate the maze-like level, and that made the level feel far too large.
Holy mackerel. This game is something special. I have no clue what's happening, but I'm loving it. The mood is off the charts.
Tremendous presentation! Took me back to playing 3-D Dinosaur Adventure long ago. Definitely had a "he's right behind me, isn't he" moment when I turned around and the dinosaur was just on top of me.
Controls are tough but I think that's part of what makes it so unique. Having different layers of visual and audio based on signal strength was a good call. The nature of the game made me not put the points in sound very often so I feel like I missed out on some levels of the vibes, but even the low level audio is a vibe in itself.
This is great and something to be proud of!
Fantastic work, team!
This game looks incredibly unique.
It was kinda tedious to move the camera around but overall I really enjoyed your game!
Trippy as hell in the best way possible, love it, though I will say putting power towards the audio seems a tad useless compared to your other options lol
Tumblr webcore Strikes Back Not a lot of people know but this entire game was made in pure CSS , no javascript .
Feels good to be on the Flash Drive ! Loved the esthetic. Also fuck that T-Rex, it must have gotten me like 12 times !
What such a great idea of gaining different abilities and you really do a great job!!!
Loved the unique and unhinged visuals! It's all pretty trippy and I love it. The text messages were great. The controls were pretty clumsy but I actually liked that and it fit very well. Main criticism would be it was a bit hard to navigate and too easy to get lost, and objective wasn't super clear. Cool game though!
An interesting game with many mechanics and an unusual art style. It reminds me of old games; I think that was the focus.
I love the unique aesthetic of the game. The text messages were very helpful but they are a bit hard to read being blue text on a blue background.
i looove it. Visual and controls are great, idea itself very interesting
You got me. I love bulky interfaces and dreamwave aesthetic!
The controls are a bit clumsy but great game overall!
It felt a little surreal for my liking, with a very distinct visual style, but it’s got a certain charm to it!)
this computer game felt like a computer game. i loved this computer game especially the dinosaur in this computer game i hope the dinosaur from this computer game wont find me in my computer dreams
this was so good, incredibly well done. I love the style and awkward controls and fun set pieces. half way through I accidentally clicked the globe icon and thought the game was doing an extended Russian bit, and I just went with it haha. really engaging, I loved my time playing this!
Great job! Very trippy! I found some upgrades, but probably not all of them because I couldn't find the ending.
I really enjoyed running around the mazes while being chased by a dinosaur with limited movement options. But after a while I learned how to avoid the enemy completely and was mostly limited by very slow camera rotation even at 3 power.
Well, I've got things to say. First of all it's atmospheric asf. I mean not just design but also the sound. Liked 'em and even tho there's volume control I never used it. Now about the gameplay. The game clearly needs wasd controls to me. The problem is I have rotate camera and move with the same left mouse button, so I can't do both in the same time. That's why the game feels slow asf. And rotation is also slowwww and you can't change it's sensitivity. But I've noticed, after new hacks you get points and you can use them to improve vision, movement, hearing or connectivity. So I improved my movement speed, but the camera rotation was still damn slow. Because of this slowness, searching for objects in this labyrinth takes a long time. I couldn't finish the game, but for the 15 minutes I played, I enjoyed everything except the gameplay. I don't mind using LMB control, but the game is dynamic and several actions are set to one button, which is psychologically difficult. Not a bad try tho. I liked the dinosaur and tutorial was clear to me. Good luck!
I really like the artstyle of this whole game, it drew me in into this strange world. I really enjoy the movement but only to a point though. Idk if i wasnt using it correctly but it was very difficult to move around in some situations. Other than that I loved playing your game!
gud game. Feels like a Toy. Got lost in the Maze :P.
Funny game! The messages in the upper-right corner enhance the game's atmosphere
Wow. This game has some nightmare fuel. It looks so eerie to me somehow. :3 The red and glitchy theme with dark places. And that earth button. I clicked on it and all new messages became Russian. Creepy. :(
An interesting game tho. It looks no like any other games here. :D
Love it <3
What a ride! The skewmorphic UI is rad, and the game is super stylish. Had a great time playing this one. Thanks for sharing! :confetti_ball:
Thanks everyone for the feedback, yes, WASD control would really be helpful
I really enjoyed surfing the old internet. It was like immersing myself in all those old 2000s websites like Neocities, haha. The controls seemed a bit complicated for the web build, as traversing the mazes required a lot of camera rotation. I was also only able to play the web build itself using a proxy, given the internet situation in my country, although it actually added a certain vibe to the game. Thank you, a very respectable result in three days!
The retro feel and aesthetics of this game are amazing!
I am confused - what is this - what is that? Wait I can do this! A gem! I never read tutorials, so it was extra fun figuring things out! You did a 5/5 fever dream!
What a vibe! Nice game, loved it
fun concept!
Really well done control panel and visual style and I really liked power management mechanic. Only issue is camera rotation not being very convenient, as its usable enough only on level 3 and you can't rotate and move at the same time, which limits your movement a lot and it doesn't feel good.
It turned out very atmospheric—it really captures that 2000s vibe.
On one hand, I like the idea of mouse-only controls, on the other, it feels a bit uncomfortable, though I understand the intention behind it.
I also felt there was a lack of narrative at the beginning to establish the goal.
First of all, HUD is just majestic :D Game is weird in a really good way! Love the creepy trippy vibe, feels like some old internet fever dream. the little messages add a lot to the atmosphere. Undestanding such controls are implemented here, it could be bit more responsive
Very cool UI! The turning was maybe a bit too slow, even if it's intentional. But the overall idea with assigning gameplay mechanics via points is really cool and unique, and the dino felt properly threatening!
This is art.
WOW! very interesting idea and execution, i'm thrilled! UI, music, graphics, gameplay - everything looks very polished!
the only thing, as other commentators mentioned earlier, it would be great to add WASD walking, probably, that would be more convenient.
great submission! i like the little reference to Neko Arc :p
I checked it out — the concept is cool, but honestly I didn’t really enjoy playing it because of the controls. It feels like all this struggle with the controls doesn’t really create interesting or funny situations or choices, even though there’s such a fun idea behind it. The cost just feels a bit too high.
The art and sounds are really cool — thanks for the game!
That felt like a fever dream I enjoyed getting chased by mr rex and stumbling apon the 67
I liked the overall design and mood. I actually liked the controls, gives it more of the vive that you are contolling the device and not playing the player like in other games. But I got lost and did not know what to do sometimes. I think some hints or some more obvious route or something would have been nice.
But the atmosphere and mood this game created was absoulte top notch!
Very cool UI! The turning was maybe a bit too slow, even if it’s intentional. But the overall idea with assigning gameplay mechanics via points is really cool and unique, and the dino felt properly threatening!
Quite unique idea with interesting but maybe a little unsettling mood. I like the references to the old hardware, the Internet and the bandwidth mechanic. Cool entry! Good job! :D
