This is a pretty cool concept, and l like the simple cutesy visuals!

I'm not sure what the pole has to do with it, though, as the character does not seem to use it. Also, when I jump, there's an initial glitch before I fly off to space - not sure how to explain it other than a moment of jerkiness after which the character is teleported a few dozen pixels upwards and facing another way. This kinds of breaks the jump aesthetically.

Oh, and I got a meager 16,871 points.

@senokos Thanks for playing! In what build did you experience the glitch?

Every pole will stick in the mattress, and will be dangerous to the next jumper. And by so you are running out of space to land on.

@tacohej Oh now it makes sense! I had the glitch when playing the HTML5 version in my browser.

Thoughts, ideas, hints and stuff: - i didnt get the mechanic. highest points were about 7k - i dont see where the theme kicks in? - graphics and sound are pretty good - the gameplay feels responsive and polished

Solid entry.

The game was very fun! The art looked cool and supported the gameplay.

The concept was interesting and fun. The space to jump seemed not as responsive as I would like and it was a little weird to alternate between right and left and then hit space, maybe up to jump might have worked better. I really enjoyed the artwork and animations. The music was also nice. The theme did not really seem apparent.

I love it! Really cool concept. I have to say, however, that it took me a while to realize that you have to flip in the air in order to get on the matress. So what I was doing was rotating, not flipping, and trying to get the pole into a vertical position. It is likely that I did not understand because I am not a native English speaker :). Anyways, a really nice game!

@wasd Thanks for the input. The theme and mechanic goes hand in hand I guess you can say. May I ask for how long you played the game?

@dk5000p Thanks for playing. Yeah, I agree about the controls. The theme is about every pole will be left on the mattress, and you'll have to avoid them when you jump again. Thus running out of space to land. Was it that you didn't understand that mechanic, or the connection to the theme?

@luca1152 Nice, you figured alot of it out. Flipping can be used as a way to land vertically, score extra points (for each full flip ) and to stear you towards the mattress. Thanks for playing

Funny little concept. I didn't managed to get the proper timing to jump I think, as my maximum points have been around 1k5. Landing was super hard at the beginning, but then I finally got it! Well done :)

Really fun game! I would imagine this as the type of game on the front page of Armor Games or Kongregate back in the day. It took me a minute to figure out how to flip without completely losing control and falling to my death but once I figured it out I was able to get a score of 54,566. Very nice!

Really fun game! Mechanics of having to rapidally press alternating keys made it a frantic but really fun. Liked the take on the theme and the graphics/soundtrack.

Hey, very good one. Gameplay feels tight, graphics are nice, the audio is spot on! Was fun playing, thank you for that!

mambojambo 2018-08-18 10:19

@ekilibr Thanks for the feedback and for playing. I think that we could have done a better job explaining how the mechanics worked (without putting a huge block of text in your face).

@hyprgloo Thanks for that comment! :) Like I stated above, we should have explained things in a little more intuitive way. 54,566 is a nice score!

@rob-parker @honey Thanks <3

Game looked and felt nice, the connection to the theme wasn't clear at first. It was harder when you ran faster to actually land and get points which seemed a little counter-intuitive but the design and game play was good fun though.

leif-einar-eide 2018-08-19 09:05

Love the cutesy design :) Interesting take on the theme. I just read it here in the comments that the poles would stay after death, but never got to see it :\ I just landed or died on impact :P

Is there an issue with the controls when you need to jump? Feel like they stick a little. All in all good job :) I can see it becoming addictive after a while.
