Great art style/visuals, simple but effective story-driven gameplay, complete story... yeah good stuff :D Maybe try to check your text the next time for missing punctuation and mistakes, I wouldn't care about it usually but it took me out of the game a few times. There is especially one or two dialogues that have glaring mistakes.
This is my only complaint though, everything else is top notch :)
The atmosphere/ambience of the game is good ! I like that type of story, narrated this way. Also the graphics have a lot of charm !
Very well-thought-out story and presentation. Well done!
Wow what a story! The gameplay and controls are a little jank, the story and atmosphere are where it shines. The pixel art at the end is amazing with the lighting. Cool vibes
Played this all the way through I really liked the story and it's a really pretty game!
Quite the game! the atmosphere is amazing along with the visuals! GG the subtle hints and reveals are dope :D
Love the idea and theme of the game! This is a great game! The pixel art and the music is done so well!
I really liked the story and overall the game looks pretty good, well done for doing all this in 72 hours. Great job!
beautiful artwork!
Great narrative and artwork! Loved David Lynch references :D
Very nice entry, impressed it was done in 3 days. I liked the flow of the story - from showing simple example/tutorial, then going deeper and deeper. The atmosphere is tense, every element - visuals, audio, sound - is cohesive. No negatives apart from minor grammar mistakes. I see good potential for expansion
amazing game
Awesome game. This solid of a emotional/narrative vibe is rare for a jam game. Visuals were solid as well, though I did detect some shortcuts on some of the pixel art (car crash frames specifically). Great work.
I'm sorry but I did laugh at the line: "I didn't look at the road."
Don't text and drive, everyone.
The art and story intertwine perfectly—like a scratch-off ticket that guarantees another story fragment.
Super solid artwork and animations!.
Mixing pixel and voxel art works very well here! Thank you for making a story-driven game. These are always fun to play and so interesting!
The visual style and overall presentation here is fantastic, a ton of style and personality infused into it. One thing I'm less keen on is the core story, it feels like fairly standard cliche stuff and it's a bit of a shame that it lacks the style of the rest of the game.
@perrin Thanks for the review and for pointing out the problems with the story! Unfortunately, due to a very short time frame, we had to reduce the script of the story to almost half and change many of the ambiguities, so hopefully in the future we'll be able to present the game's story in a more complete form.
@anton-florey Thank you for the comment!
@quinn Thanks for the comment! The original script was actually a car accident caused by a drunk driver and would have had some ambush ahead of it. However, due to less time, the slight ending was handled rather hastily. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to present the story in its entirety in the future.LOL
@eugenik Thank you for the comment!
@adhvik Thank you for the comment!
@stronf Thanks for the comment! I'm also looking forward to bringing the story more fully to life.
@kamuniaft Thanks for the comment! I loved David Lynch very much and was very sad when he passed away.
The pixel art is just pure bliss!!! I bet it’s tough to nail the theme in such a style in such a short time.
This game is really innovative, the art style and game mechanics are very good, and people want to keep playing
I love the visual storytelling here, good work!
The atmosphere in this game was great, and the premise was really creative and interesting, but it felt like the story didn't quite match the potential of the mechanics. For me, exploring the concept of a psychologist who erases the memories of his patients was really intriguing (what if he erases the wrong memory? what if a patient wants their memories back? what if he sees something he's not supposed to see?), but that doesn't actually happen in the game--he's uncovering memories, not removing them, and while that is also interesting in its own way, it's not nearly as original. It just felt like the story could have been pushed to be more unique, if that makes any sense. From an aesthetic standpoint the game was incredible, I loved the lighting in particular and the shadowbox quality of the scenes lent itself well to the idea of traversing memories. The physical act of scrubbing and cleaning the memories added a tactile dimension that I really liked. Overall very solid graphics and gameplay, but the story could have been pushed a bit further.
@coyotethursday Thank you very much for your comment! Regarding the point that you mentioned about erasing memories, the plot is set up in such a way that this ability to erase other people's memories doesn't exist in reality, and in truth the protagonist was hypnotized into thinking that he had this ability to erase the patient's bad memories, but in fact, that was a constant confronting of his own memories.I'm sorry that this may not be evident in the game, and I hope that a version with a more complete plot can be made in the future!
