Very pretty, cool idea! Puzzles were tricky. I clipped out of the world once, not sure if it was a bug.

I love the style!!! Work with Grease pencil I suppose? The music and atmosphere has nostalgia notes
I'm not sure I managed to get to the end successfully. I got to this number at the end of a room, and continuing to walk took me across this space platform to a giant stone gnome, and then I fell off the map.
I really liked the artstyle and how well the interaction and sfx meshed together. Good audio. I slightly wish there was a sensitivity setting for the mouse because it's set super high for me.
Amazing game!!! The visuals immediately stuck out to me they are so sick man, gives me bendy vibes but you really put your own spin on it, amazing work and I love the little puzzles
This is beautiful. The style, and art are perfect. I loved the surprises like the twins, and the face. But finding the differences wasn't easy. I found some, like the tongue on the first picture, and a gnome with a colored hat, or a different picture, but I couldn't figure out what the difference was in a lot of the rooms and ended up just going around in circles. I don't know if it's just that it was obvious and I missed it, or if the differences were that hard to find. Maybe having some that are animated could help.
Could not figure out how to solve the game... I will assume I am pretty dumb so does not really matter
But! The visuals just on other level. I don't know where you found so many gnomes but I like each of them. I mean it.
I'm in awe, I got caught in the ~~gnome~~ mood so quickly, the art direction sold it to me instantly, and the overall nude aspect of the style and music really succeeded to get me to explore each of these rooms with a renewed curiosity and pleasure. Loved it, the subtle mix between humour and weird elements works very well too
I love the artistic style, those 2D assets applied to 3D really look great and give a unique style to the game. A little disturbing and creepy xD but very funny. It took me a bit to differentiate the important things from the rest, maybe they wanted the differences to be subtle if that's how well done jaja! Great job!

Immediately transported into the hand drawn world, that amazing gnome wallpaper! Moody and surreal feeling which I think the music really creates along with the general design. Can't say I was very good but I had fun attempting to solve the room puzzles.
I also just liked opening stuff, but was never sure what was interactable.. maybe something to subtlety highlight things to interact with.
Awesome game!
The art style was really cool, and the music made this game have this sort of mood to it. Felt like an endless dreamscape which was pretty cool. I can't say there was anything wrong with this except for preference with puzzles / art style for some people. Also, those easter eggs were great additions and added to humor. Great entry! Screenshot 2024-10-09 234908.png
The art is absolutely killer. I would have loved a small hint at the start, it took me quite a while to figure out what I was actually supposed to be doing, but once I understood it was a "spot the difference" sort of thing, the rest went much faster.
The art is insane! I found a bug when I press Ctrl+E in fullscreen mode; it closes the tab. I would like the mouse input to be a little slower. I didn't see an end game screen. I found a mirror with time; I think that's the end got me ~200 seconds
I love Aunt Fanny's house. The art direction/style/everything is beautiful. The ambience with the background music is great (though I could also see this being a horror game in a different universe lol). Very Antichamber meets gnomes :) I was too smooth brained and impatient to get through the maze once I accidentally messed up four or five screens in, but that's a user issue. Great job!
Great atmosphere with the art and music and polished execution!
I couldn't get all the different differences for each room but I got enough to finish the game after some tries. Loved the little details everywhere.
Thanks for submitting your game to the stream! If you wanted to watch it again in the future heres the vod of the stream (with a chapter for your game)

Also Wanted to ask if youre fine with me using gameplay from the game in this LDs [score chasers tournament](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/56/$405421/ludum-dare-score-chasers-qualification-begins) intermission video. (Would play in the breaks of the tournament on my stream). Last year for reference https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YuddhZScWxo
@ategon Spoke with the guys and everyone's cool with it. :3
(Also, thank you everyone for all the lovely comments. You are all now gnomelegeable in the ways. *nodnod* )
Wow this is amazing! I made it in 108s! I like the little details & hints in each room!
The art hooked me (at the beginning I thought I was going to play a 2D illustrated game!) and it took me a while to understand the rules of the puzzle but it felt engaging to keep trying until I got them. It has the perfect length and kept surprising me, it was nice to play, thank you!
This is extremely impressive. I finished it like 5 times noticing something new every time and getting stuck on some other thing again. The fact that the solutions change every time makes it so much more replayable. The art and overall vibe are spot on. The only nitpick I have is that the movement controller could feel a tiny bit better, it seems a bit rigid - but that's really not what the game is about so whatever.
Anyway, that's all 5s from me.

What a game!
I love this kind of art! 3D with 2D lines. I don't know the exact name for this style.
I don't really like first-person games because I get motion sickness and feel sick, but I did my best to get to the end. I racked my brains a bit to figure out the puzzles, but in the end everything worked out.
I was so sure that I found the Gnome! ;)

Congratulations for the game!
Thank you for bringing me this gift Rincs. Thank you all for making it. You're putting good out into the world and that is profoundly fulfilling to see.

Took me way too long to do this
Ok so I think this just isn't quite the game for me. I gave it a good 10 minutes of trying to figure out what the rules were for how to know which door to go through each time, and I just could not do it. Every time I thought I understood what was going on I was left confused again as my assumptions were wrong. The longer I played it the more confused and lost I became. I don't think this is really a flaw in the game, but I would like to have had a bit more direction, at least a clue for the first room.
This is certainly a very unique game, with a gorgeous art style, and it oozes atmosphere. Really nice take on the theme, very polished and complete for a weekend jam game. Nice work, keep making games!
@historymaker118 There is always one clue in each room and it changes every time you come through. In the first room there are 4 possible clues, one high, one low, one on the shelf, and one on the wall, For later rooms, if the colors above the doors are different then there's something else hidden in the room that indicates which color is correct. If the colors are the same then it's something else. A lot of the clues are in the paintings.
I can't stop playing ToT it's just so good I havent figured every clue out yet, the kitchen is the hardest for me 10/5 <3

ok i figured it out, idk why kitchen was so hard before ^^
my best non random picking doors score:

Loved this game, even though I still haven't figured out all the puzzles (but I'm still trying; the last room when all colors are the same is one such case (no spoilers please)).
In other news I was happy that I got to finish it in 31s:

... only to come to the comments section and have my happiness crushed 😅

I consider myself good at adventure games and escape rooms but I cannot solve this game. I know it's about differences but I'm just not making the logical leap I need to make here. That said this game looks incredible, you've absolutely nailed the visual style.
@perrin There's only a few puzzle types for the entire game: spot the difference (the clues are always near the door, if you note for example in the first room, out of all the items in the room, only a few things are repeated and close to each door: the painting and the shelf), find the "weird" thing that points it out (the fan in the living room is sometimes off, with a clue on it and; there's a gnome on the floor by the correct door) and color matching (these are only in the latter rooms, and you can tell when it's that type when all the obviously visible colors in the room are different from each other. For this you have to look around in the room, and inside openable objects - including doors! - to find the clue that tells you which color it is).
So it takes a little bit of you knowing the room and spotting what is repeated near the door. Maybe with this in mind you can see if you can find the clues this time xD hehe
The only one I wish we had better time to finesse is that some of the clues you can find by opening doors. But understandably players would hesitate since that might trigger a door choice. Just know this: __as long as you *don't* cross the door threshold, it's safe to open doors__.
wow, really cool game! How could many people above finished the game so fast, I was shocked to see my 718.87 on the screen.
Whoa, this was very cool! All the little gnome drawings are simply adorable! Great job!

I loved this game! I loved how each room randomly sampled different puzzles, kept things interesting and helped induce a sense of insanity lol. My first run was ~20 minutes, but I went back and got a better understanding of all the puzzles and here was my best speedrun score!
Super innovative, and great job! I love these type of experiences that stem from game jams.
I was very confused with what clues I should look for at first, so it took me some time to actually understand what should be a requirement to choose one door or another, but after that initial hurdle it was much easier. Other than that I loved the art style it's somehow both simple and full of details, amazing work! Really good work on sound and I liked the raising maddness level of the home interier designs :D nice one!
That's awesome art style! I like how you combine 2d and 3d. And this puzzle are simple and interesting. Maybe wanted to see more levels, but at all its perfect game!
amazing game, i've truly been gnomed! the atmosphere is so good, i even got spooked one time. for the true gnome enjoyers mnom.png
lol i had a scooby doo jumpscare moment when i finally noticed the kitchen gnome wall eye. I never thought I'd be satisfied by gratuitous gnome design, i had gnome idea you could get so much mileage out of it. I unironically exclaimed out loud "this must be the ungnome!" when i unintentionally arrived at the end of the game lol. So much fun really enjoy the personality of this game. The line work aesthetic in the 3d world was a bit jarring at first and disorienting but i got used to it. I actually wish there was a little more to interact with to uncover gnome secrets but for a jam this level of sleuthage was pretty great. Nice work team!
Really good game, I love the humor and atmosphere.
i think thats the best am gonna gets hehe i got actually spooked the first time when i opened one of the door and theres big gnome face xD ungnome.png
Sorry I had to take down the last video, the export was cut wrong. Here's the fixed one! Much love guys~✨

amazing game! it's fun to search "gnomes" things :> but 2nd room still is confusing me (kitchen) :d i just choose randomly
Absolutely loved this! The art style is brilliant, the puzzles took me a while to figure out, but I made my way through in a few minutes. Wasn't sure what to do at the end, but found the 'The more you Gnome' panel and jumped through that. Really good entry, well done.
The consistent slightly creepy art style is convincing. I got to the 4th room a few times before getting stumped. What were your team's inspirations for making the game?
I don't think I've seen this art style successfully pulled off in a game jam before. Seriously impressive that you managed to make this much content, have it feel cohesive, and maintain a high level of quality.
I think you guys will win the graphics category with this one!
It was an absolute pleasure playing this game on stream. Incredibly magical experience :sparkles: I would even call it masterpiece if only it had some gnomes in it. Oh if only...

This was super clever! I love that even when I returned to the beginning, the solution was slightly different each time. And that you remained true to the theme of the puzzle each time. I gnome I'm not very good with puzzle games but this genuinely made me feel clever and want to play repeatedly to see the different puzzles!
