Great game! But I often lose control after accelerating It's very similar to a part of our game! You can also try my game! Looking forward to your feedback!

Well done, would be cool to have a button to skip waiting for the next wave
An interesting idea, the theme of the depths is revealed precisely.
Cool game ! I had trouble controlling the ship at first but then I found it very fun to use acceleration and decelation to control it, this mechancis makes the game feel original. I wish there was less time in between levels so I could grind more :). I enjoyed the game, well played !
I took a while to get used to the controlls, but it felt quite fluid afterwards. As someone else said. A Skip wave timer would be a nice addition.
Controls feel a bit odd at first, but you get used to them. The theme is well-executed and the graphics are solid. Good luck!
I liked the parallax effect of the stars, your little battleship is cool :D
The hardest part for me instead was collecting the bodies of the enemies. A very cool game.
Controls feel great! I wasn’t a fan of waiting for the timer to timeout between rounds—maybe some upgrade phase like in Brotato would fit better. Great job overall!
Great game! Bashing around a little arcade game was super fun, I feel like the timer took a little long to go down, and kinda slowed the game down for me, but otherwise a very fun play!
I have to admit I got a little bored waiting for the next wave. I think there should just be enemies constantly spawning and then you could in the midst of the battle upgrade your ship. Having to wait and do nothing for like 40 seconds really kills the pacing for me. Controls and combat was fun though so there's potential.
Cool sound and art — nice work! The style really stood out and was fun to experience. I just got a bit confused about the depth mechanic and how it connected to the jam’s theme. Still, good job overall and keep going!
I liked the spaceship physics. Sometimes there are weird things like vessels flying at x10 speed which I assume is a physics issue after collision, but I might be wrong. Maybe there is no max speed limit and anyone can accelerate that much if wanted to.
It's almost impossible to lose in this game, I think the melee vessels should do much more damage, or get at least 2 hp at some point. Otherwise, the player is too strong for these enemies.
As others notes, the wave delay could be too long, but I understand that it's there to allow the player to collect scraps. Even with that in mind, this game is quite easy and player does not really need 100% of the scraps, they barely need any :D A couple of upgrades in everything and you're good to go for infinity, and this can be farmed without a long wave pause.
I noticed the web build of the game freezing for several seconds when a wave of 50+ enemies is about to be spawned. The more you progress, the more noticeable this freeze is (up to 6-7 seconds, but I haven't measured it).
I recorded a video of me playing the game. https://shadowveilsociety.itch.io/claw-of-the-mantis
Cool game! It reminded me of a mini-game from GTA San Andreas where you had to play on an arcade machine. Overall, the game is great and can be pretty engaging for a while. The only thing I would suggest is reducing the timer for collecting fallen enemies and increasing the damage from enemies. Other than that, well done!
So my strategy of spinning like a madman while holding the fire button didn't work! I love how you keep velocity in this game. I messed up with the shop though, didn't know it wouldn't pause the game.
Cool concept. I do wish that the mouse had been how you controlled the direction of the ship; WASD felt fairly unintuitive. The sound effects and visuals are crisp! Good job.
I didn't love the controls but you get used to them overtime. My main issue was the challenge of this game seems weirdly inverted. Combat sections are very easy since everything just bee-lines towards you I could just get some distance everything would line up in my firing line. Then once it was done I had to struggle pick up all the debris before the time ran out. The real challenge of the game is not fighting the ships but collecting their husks before the next wave spawns. Eventually I realised I could leave one enemy alive to give myself a ton more time to collect them.
really liked the music loop and that it projected from the base as a way to locate it, but unfortunately it didn't seem to loop. game was basic but functional, liked the idea of collecting enemy corpses for scrap.
Fun!! I wasn't sure why I had to wait 60s between waves when I'd already collected all of the scrap.
