Super cool game! Very consistent style, high quality execution. Love the vibes and everything about it. Played thorough all the books, pack of wolves is so OP. One shots everything!

Oh it was fun!! I like auto battlers and it was fun trying to figure out what combination of animals are working well. At first I thought it was too easy, thanks for the speed up option, but then my animals started dying. So I stopped and considered how to go further and the difficulty ramp up was nice once it picked up! Well done I enjoyed my time playing it <3
the game is super interesting, but it is very easy, cool voice acting and cool mechanics are generally super legend and not a game
Really fun game! It took me some time to wrap my head around the different mechanics, but this is mostly due to me not being familiar with this type of game. The art is beautiful, and with the addition of the music and the voice lines, it creates a nice "laying back with a book" vibe.
OK i spend way more time playing this one than i wanted to. Game is to addicting for me. Greate work overall if you develop this one a bit further I think you can sell this on steam.
Absolutely loved this game, the graphics are great and the gameplay is quite simple but addictive !!
Absolutely incredible, the concept overall was really nice. and the graphics too. honestly I didn't know that I was gonna be this submerged into the experience. took me longer to play this game than expect. keep it going, love the concept
Awesome looking game with a good vibe to it. I was kinda surprised to lose units after a fight, but when I took it into account everything went smoothly :) Really well done
Interesting card game, nice and easy to play)
I love puzzle, deckbuilder, roguelike, and strategy games, and this one nails all of them!(impressive). The octopus is my favorite (the way you say it made me giggle, so I picked him a lot). I really liked the dynamic books that change, making sure you don't get too overpowered. The lion caught me off guard! I did a few runs and enjoyed the randomness, especially the Elite with the subtle, low sound (that was a nice touch). Overall great Game!
Great job! There is a lot of variety between different creatures. I really enjoyed looking for different strategies... Oh, who am I kidding, I just bought 9 wolves and destroyed everyone... 😂
I really enjoyed the game, loved its chill vibe and the art style. Reminded me of my childhood when I used to cut out pictures of different animals.
Wolves are fast and wolves are hungry! Awesome! Very interesting idea and very clever execution. Good job!
(I love the penguin design so much.)
This is a really nice well made game with some great visual design, a clean UI, a good audio design. I enjoyed playing however I don't feel the balance is quite right. Once you start losing a couple of units you don't have enough money to build back up to survive for many rounds, and this is compounded with each round your enemies get a lot tougher to fight so you keep losing units, which becomes a rapid downward spiral to defeat. This doesn't feel good especially if you end up losing a unit you've invested a lot of money into. I think there's probably a better way to balance the rounds (the early ones feel to easy the late ones too punishing) to make the engagement curve smoother, though I'm not quite sure what the solution would be. However you've clearly got a lot of talent working on this game so I'm sure with some more iterations you can figure it out.
This definitely feels like a solid prototype that demands to be expanded and built into a full game (there really aren't enough quality auto-battlers on the market right now) if you want to do so. I hope that you do continue to develop this, or take what you've learned into a future game. Great job, a really great game for only a weekend's work!
This game is very effective, simple to understand but also challenging! With a presentation that I found very appealing (I love books), we end up with a kind of intelligent deckbuilding game. There are lots of mechanics at our disposal, and we can opt for different strategies to emerge victorious from a battle against other animals. I've put it in my itch.io favourites, and I'm looking forward to going back for more games! Well done!
This is a really nicely executed autobattler. Feels like's a lot of ground to really explore here, that isn't just mimicking SAP. Awesome work for a weekend jam.
A lot of fun this game is. I like choosing creatures, learning their special abilities, and sitting back while the battle rages. The variety of creatures is very impressive. The sound and graphics are top-notch. Excellent job!
This is very well made! The animal art is grate and the sound effects/music go perfectly with the theme/mood. Solid game!
The idea is an original one, I must say. And the art totally fits it. Although it's not my type of game, if I am to be honest, but this one I enjoyed playing. GJ!
I had a blast playing this game! The book aesthetic is really charming, and every creature has such great artwork. The game feels well-balanced. Collecting animals and making them stronger is super satisfying! One small thing though, the coins feel a bit out of place with the animal kingdom vibe, maybe they could be bones instead? Overall, I really enjoyed! Great job!
I spent unhealthy amount of time playing this. Really good.
I got off to a pretty good start and was able to build up enough defense and strength to last a very long time. I wasn't sure if the game would be able to catch up to my stats, but eventually it did and at that point I couldn't bounce back. 52 rounds though, so that seemed pretty good. Would love to see more animals and books, but for a jam this was a great game with way enough strategy to be fun. Great job.
Screenshot 2024-10-14 194416.png Wolves are amazing! But are really vulnerable to late game boss with high speed and aoe damage.
I didn't realize, at first, that you could put two cards together to increase the creatures abilities. That changed EVERYTHING. Love it. Nice spin on the auto pet battler genre, good theme, great art. The only thing it could use an upgrade on is sound. Otherwise I love this game.
