"URH, URH , UHHHHH" - ogre
Cool game! Not sure if it was lag related or a glitch, but I was able to spam spacebar and go against the right side of the screen (seemed like forever). The screen then got flooded with enemies (not sure if that was supposed to happen)
It seems like the goal of 1000 kills is a bit high. If the enemies were not meant to flood in, that would take a very long time/ the gameplay was getting a bit repetitive.
Good sound effects and art for a jam entry!
I  Tenti!
@enad96 "GRR... ARGH... UNF" (Thanks for playing)
@thinkwithgames That was a bug that was introduced/discovered late in the jam. It is open for abuse but, as you discovered, it doesn't really benefit the player to roll off screen for ages since it will put them back on screen when the stop spamming spacebar. And by then there'll be a lot of enemies. I suppose they could just spam space for the rest of their life and... uh, beat the game that way?
Anyway, yeah, 1000 dudes is a lot of dudes. It was meant to be hard to actually achieve. I think, it's probably WAY too hard to achieve though, especially when the spawn rate ramps up later in the game.
Thanks for playing!
@tekniqau Tenti loves you, too. Just don't eat his rats.
Great Game! Awesome art style and sound effects!
to be fair though, what kind of eldtrich god would tenti be if he didn't make unreasonable requests of his summons
@bzoo345 Thanks for playing. And you're right... the really "unreasonable" person is the one that decides to ignore or complain about a request from an eldritch god. That never ends well.
Good fun and completed game. I didn't quite understand what I was gathering from enemies, but had a lot of fun shooting them :). Good job!
Charming game, cool art and audio work! Would like to be able to summon Tenti more.
If anyone else has a bug with the mouse cursor getting frozen after starting the level, you can press ESC to unfreeze it.
@westeaststudio Thanks for playing. The red orbs were health (healed you only if you were hurt) and the blue orbs allowed you to summon Tenticlor by pressing E.
@tracex Thanks for checking out the game. That's a new bug that we weren't aware of. Thanks for letting us know.
I love Tenticlor and its (their?) speaking pattern. For a mere mortal like me, 1000 seems totally impossible to achieve, but that's part of appeasing an eldritch god. Does anything happen when you achieve it? Otherwise, pretty fun arcade game with what's essentially an endless mode hahah. Also love how the player's essentially dancing to the music :dancer:
omg this is very fun! Reminded me of duck hunt :D good humor, good gameplay and good audio. Nice job :)
Very fun arcade game (I love you too, Tenti), I loved the voice overs (Yes, Tenti) and the gameplay, it becomes very hard (please don't kill me, Tenti) to manage all the creatures shooting at you after a certain time haha
Overall a fun little game, as mentioned by others the killcount could probably be decreased and a few more goblin varieties with maybe different attack patterns would freshen things up a bit (of course that is hard to achieve within the limited time-frame). Another thing that could help is adding a small cooldown to the dodge so it's not abusable anymore. Other than these little pet peeves a very enjoyable experience. Praise Tenticolor!
@telo-philippe Thanks for checking it out! Tenti waves a benevolent tentacle of gratitude in your general direction. Yeah, the difficulty gets pretty insane later in the game. Some might say the difficulty gets too insane. (Me... I'd say that)
@sampai I agree 100% with all of your suggestions. We had plans to include more variety (and a bunch of other things) which would have given the game more depth, however, as you said... limited time-frame. We had to leave a lot of ideas on the cutting room floor. Thanks for playing and thanks for your feedback!
Great game! Really love the humor!
Pretty cool game with fun gameplay. I just wish it was more dynamic with faster rocks or something - in later stages the rocks would stack and be almost everywhere with no place to dodge. Maybe the player's character could be smaller to allow for sneaking between rocks? I don't really know.
The symbols in menu's bottom left and bottom right corners didn't render for me - I guess they would be an arrows?
@lisek-gagatek Thanks for your feedback. Yeah, it's becomes too much later in the game. Also, those symbols were meant to be arrows but they're borked for some reason.
this is so cool game with good and fun gameplay, i like it!
I think its getting stuck at a black screen after tutorial start
The gameplay mechanics in this game are so intuitive! It's like the controls become an extension of your own instincts. Plus, the art style adds a unique flair that keeps you engaged throughout. Definitely a gem worth exploring!
overall, I liked the visual part of the game, especially the animation of the main character
Nice little game! I couldn't go beyond the second flooding waves of enemies, I died at around 285 before I accidentally rolled out of the screen and died when returning. I don't have much to point out that others didn't already say, I believe it gets a little crowded very suddenly! Overall a nice game, the graphics and sound are cool and I had a fun time reading Tenticlor dialogs. Keep up the good work!
oh well. u dead. Loved it! This was really fun. The music and audio were great and the art style was nice. I think it had some nice feedback whenever I gave damage or took damage. Great work!
Great little game. Difficulty ramps up quickly, so I never managed more than ~230 kills, but bringing tenti in when the screen's full of enemies?
Love the graphics, though they were hard to see on a large screen. A full-screen option would've made playing a bit easier (I'm on a 4K monitor).
Controls were great: responsive, easy-to-master.
Some of the hit collisions seemed a bit off: I'd use A or D to just walk out of the way of a missile, but it'd still hit me, even though I was nowhere near it on the screen.
Overall, a fun game. Loved tenti's personality: the humour is perfect. Great work!
Great :) Just what I expected from you: silly sound effects, original concept, great execution with attention to details and polish. <3
@derlie Glad you liked it!
@cats-in-jackets Hmm, that's weird. We haven't seen that before. Perhaps you can try refreshing the browser window and reloading the game? What browser are you using?
@smoky01 Thanks for playing and thanks for the kind words.
@remhill Thanks for playing. @lenny-rudeberg will be happy to know that you enjoy his animations
@linky439 After the feedback we've received, I think I can confirm that the game gets a little bit too hard over time. Maybe 1000 dudes is an impossible goal? Thanks for playing.
@pres2300 Thanks for checking it out! I'm glad you liked the damage feedback. A little bit of screen shake goes a long way.
@digital-bacon YES! Wiping out a screen full of enemies with a single summon is pretty satisfying. The game is 640 x 480 so I can imagine that it's pretty tiny on a 4K monitor. Perhaps I can enable fullscreen on itch.io? I'll check later. Thanks for playing!
@cymusi Making this one did not come easily but I'm glad you can see some of our style still shine through. Thanks for checking it out!
Love the art style and felt all the sound effects worked well alongside it. I had quite a bit of fun blasting the enemies but I do agree with some of the other commenters that the target kill count seems a bit high. However, great experience during my play time, was very satisfying. With some further variety/abilities it could be a great time killer :)
Very fun game! Very cool interpretation of the theme. I really liked the narrative content. The graphics are beautiful, the animations too. The sound is good. I really like the gameplay, as it is very solid and functional.
Good job!
Very fun and interesting game, i wish it was a bit easier to play with touch pad though.
The tutorial is a bit long and boring as it isnt interactive, but the actual gameplay is fun. If you want to make it more engaging maybe a shop of sorts could go a long way (although i dont know what happens after 1000 kills so maybe that does indeed happen.)
Nice game! Love Tenticlor, ha ha! Art and sound effects are great! The task seems impossible until you realize that Tenti has helpfully removed any collision from the sides of the screen, so you can just eternally dodge away, while still mowing down gobbos! Any advantage is fair play, amiright??

Great job, loved it (especially Tenti's comments, lol)!
The game play is kinda cool. Just a little buggy. But the music and sound and art is very good!
Had fun with this and loved the audiovisuals! Full disclosure: Did not make it to a 1000! :octopus:
Had a good laugh with this. The writing is so light hearted and fun, and the visuals complement it well.
The dodge feels a bit overpowered and unresponsive at the same time. Other than that, it is a nice game with matching audio and graphics. Great entry! :D
