supergamersgames 2021-04-26 16:52

Not exactly a game, but not bad :)

saathvik 2021-04-27 07:45

I like it, but I don't really see how it fits the theme

otresnjak 2021-04-27 07:47

Lovely, brief, and heartbreaking. Fantastic art, too. So impressive for a 24 hour project!

deformhead 2021-04-27 07:55

@saathvik The depth was my main priority in this entry through feelings, graphics and texts.

timtipgames 2021-04-27 07:55

Great mood and well done for 24 hours! I wish there was more interaction.

saathvik 2021-04-27 08:07

@deformhead Oh, that's great! Really liked your submission, especially since you made it in 24 hours. The mood is amazing, the art is nice and the audio is great

stin 2021-04-27 08:09

I didnt get the idea of the game. What i need to do?

deformhead 2021-04-27 08:13

@stin Press RIGHT and watch it like a short movie (just trolling myself  ).

sedna 2021-04-27 08:16

So heartbreaking. But I enjoyed walking down this Story of yours!

spicy-boi-2005 2021-04-27 08:44

the art looks great i wish the game was longer and had more interactions

random-thoughts 2021-04-27 08:48

More gameplay would have been nice, like different endings based on how long you took to get there, but given that you took only 24hrs to make this, its pretty impressive. Most game jam games don't really have stories too, at least not ones that I usually find, so good on you for trying to do something harder. Well done!

arancutter 2021-04-27 09:43

This was really interesting. The art is great and I think you did a really good job creating a mood. It would be nice to experience this in a longer form. It's cool that you decided to go for something different and challenge yourself. It's really commendable.

Thanks for making it and thanks for sharing.

laniph 2021-04-27 13:31

I got some feels in the end, obviously wished there was more build-up but it's an excellent narrative take !

plazyqwerty 2021-04-27 13:37

I like the atmosphere of the game, but I wish there was more gameplay. Nice game! :)

mab-cat 2021-04-27 14:25

Well done for 24 hours! It is very short and I would love to see more gameplay, but the colors/aesthetic are nice and the story, for as brief as it is, is heart-twisting. Great work!

guimoliveira 2021-04-27 14:54

nice

eugenik 2021-04-27 15:49

amazing artstyle!.

thomasward 2021-04-27 16:46

I don't really know whether you may call it a "game", since it lacks most of the mechanics, but I am okay with that, given the heavy focus on the story and graphics/video stuff. I like the atmosphere and mood and the overall experience, but it's hard to rate is as a game...

fpeg 2021-04-29 08:42

Short but moving, and very nice graphics! Well done :)

jonah 2021-04-29 08:43

Oof... that were some heavy feels. I kinda expected the ending but I was hoping for a more happy ending. I like what you did with the art and setting the mood👍

doot 2021-04-29 08:50

Wow good job! The story is short and intense, the visuals and audio are stunning. I am always impressed by good compo games, and this one didn't fail to do so!

videt 2021-04-29 11:29

Short but pretty nice! Especially for 24 hours you've put into this game

saintchristopher777 2021-04-30 22:49

Wow, the feels :'(

Great work, esp for only using 24 hours!

tombuston 2021-04-30 22:53

It's nice to see another very narrative entry! Obviously it's a bit brief but the mood is still there and the execution is really good. The art is really impressive considering you only had 24 hours, from the character animations to the storm in the background, it felt really polished (again 24 hours?! well done).

I think I may have had an issue with the audio though, I tried Firefox and Chrome and I didnt' have any sounds? I didn't rate audio for this reason.

Well done this is a nice entry!

bamallama 2021-04-30 23:44

So polished, and a really heavy story. Would love to see more in this style.

villanelle 2021-05-01 01:12

Such a shame this game is so short. I'd love to see more interactions with the world, or even some dialogue choices. Oh, and I gotta say your graphics are impecable. Congrats doing this great work in just 24 hours.

felo07 2021-05-01 01:14

Like, the art and sound effects are very good. But the whole game is just that, to go to the hospital or I missed something? I think you could put more content =( but congrats for the job! =)

edur 2021-05-01 08:41

Very nice art. Lightning was cool. Very unexpected... I just wish there would be more gameplay.

leorid 2021-05-01 08:42

Short but good, the ending got me super confused because it was blending back to the beginning leading to the impression that I can alter the flow of the story by doing something differently, I started smashing all buttons on the keyboard but none seemed to work, then I understood, there is nothing he can do about it - deep depression will follow. xD

florianduf 2021-05-01 10:45

Make a game alone in 24h is a big challenge. Your proposition is very interesting.

I'am sad for the baby and parents... ;(

The story is very short and we want to have more game play but I understand that is hard to do in compo.

Graphism are very nice and the concept is cool :) So I hope to see you again next jam.

gimbalock 2021-05-01 12:40

Beautiful visuals, and great storytelling. Nicely done in 24H.

kr4ft3r 2021-05-02 00:46

Well, I'm not the one to fall for a quick emotional story, but graphics and mood is well done. What is important is you had fun drawing things and putting them together. Can't say I understand fully how it relates to the theme, no one can know that better than you. Best I can come up with is observe that contrast between the man running in from distance, towards the child that came out of depths of his wife, the deepest result of their union.

Maybe you should create a tutorial for your framework, although the documentation looks ok, a tutorial showing implementation of a very simple game could help potential users decide if it is something they'd find useful, I for one am interested. Also define a scope of what it is meant to do, from quick look I guess it is something for people who like to program most aspects of the game themselves, while the framework handles resource management and elevates few other burdens.
