Wow, there is so much packed into this demo. Lots of things to do in a 48 hours project! I like that you can go up and down to fight and buy. One thing that would help is to give some UI feedback in the merchant screen (maybe highlighting a button when the purchase is done). Curious to see where it goes. Nice interpretation of the theme too!

A bit of confusion around controls and UI but in the end I got the kick back with a martini (with a bit of help from the developer in Discord). It's a lot of moving parts for a small jam, so no shame it not nailing everything.

Good use of the theme and creative idea. However, the controls were somewhat unresponsive (attacking rarely worked) and the lack of good audio or visual feedback made it hard to interact with the game. But it was a good concept that could be really fun if more fully fleshed out
I'm always a fan of voiced sound effects so that got me good right off the bat. I had some difficulty figuring out if I was really hitting the enemies or not but I got through it. All in all good game.

I beat the game when I played it last night. I thought the art was pretty good for being done at the last minute.
What the game is really missing is feedback. I am swinging my sword in the general direction of the enemy, but how can I know I am damaging it? I pushed a button in the shop, but did it do anything? Etc.
Over all I think it's a fairly solid LD game.

The game is really confusing, there isn't any feedback when you attack, mine, or even buy anything from the shop. The shop confused me because it didn't show how much money I had or how much things cost.

Well done on completing the jam! This game is a rendition of a classic theme/trope - descending into the depths to fight awful things. Well done for exploring the idea! I felt curious about what else might be down there (but was disappointed reading you only had time to create the mummy). I was intrigued by the shop (actually, the shopkeeper). I wanted to know would he alert me to useful things as the instructions and developer-note guy did. Future versions could explore more of the story element as narrated by these characters!
I would try for one or two completed mechanics done well rather than lots of things only partially done. I can see you acknowledge you couldn't finish it all!

Congrats on finishing a compo game!
From my few experience I learned that for a game jam to do well you should really hammer the basic and have a prototype running quickly. Having a goal, a way of measure progress and clear user interactions are for me the essence of something working.
For exemple even if the graphics are not there, a expanding circle (or just a circle) appearing when you attack) would suffice to indicate.
I love the mummies!
Looks interesting, but didn't really work for me. Left click did nothing (wasn't just an animation issue - I kept left clicking that mummy for over a minute straight doing no damage at all).
Not sure what is going on. I couldn't seem to attack a mummy and the collision was janky. Need more feedback from the game on what is happening.

I didn't understand how combat system worked. But I enjoyed this game!

Really a lot to do in this game, the gameplay loop is satisfying and interesting! If you're looking to work on it post game, I'd revisit the combat mechanics by adding some feedback, as it can be a bit confusing to understand how and when you're able to hit the enemies. Switching between the Pickaxe and Sword using the Mousewheel would be a nice addition as well!
Well done on finishing the game in such a short amount of time :trophy:
I was stuck with the first mummy, not knowing if the hits I was doing with the sword were even working. So sad, I wanted to to further, your game seems fun.
