You spent a huge amount of time on your art, it's really good. A sandbox, survival island is also a fun idea. I did notice that when I click for any reason it does subract my energy. Anyways it's a fun game, and you've got a ton done in a 3 day span. Keep it up. It's a fun game. :)

Thanks so much for the comment <3

Great job making such a complex game in a really short timespan! I couldn't figure out where to find water to drink, and when an items stack count went to 0, it'd remain in your inventory which looked weird. With some more tutorials this could be a lot more understandable. Congrats for submitting, nice job! :D

I like the art, but I was kinda confused on where to go, some of the art was very clippy and weird, but overall nice game

nice art although some tiles were kinda cutoff, didnt know how and what to do

kaleido 2022-04-07 13:21

beautiful artwork! a little jittering, maybe due to camera update timing (lateupdate?)

Well done.

I feel the map is very particular. It was my favorite mood.

theblitz 2022-04-07 13:39

Interesting game, but the map is a little too big, i tend to get lost and am not sure what to do next

Nice work! A survival game is pretty ambitious and it's impressive how much is here. I appreciated being able to explore and discover how mechanics work on my own. The fishing is also neat. While I was playing, I felt as if there needed to be more balance to the energy economy, like having some actions take less, or having a reliable way to get it back while awake. In retrospect though, if there was, it probably wouldn't be inevitable that you die, and there would have to be some other mechanic that shows up later to challenge to player. So in it's current state it basically accomplishes what it's supposed to. The graphics are really nice too and the music fits although it gets repetitive after a bit. Very well done

A wonderful amount of content with very polished art, well done! Feels a bit too much like Stardew Valley maybe?:)

I died a couple of times without understanding fully what's happening, and I'm sure I missed quite a bit of content still. I shall be back to explore this a bit more. Is there a way to pull up the control scheme after the splash screen? You could probably mention the controls in the description on this page.

thanks to you all for playing, rating and the comments so far, we learn the most of these comments! It was a bit much to do so we had to cut some corners here and there of course. There is a lot of options for balancing things out and even a start for a story to include. And then we didn't even include the demon-bunny yet because of the deadline. For the short time we had, we are very happy with what we could release. The tiles not correctly aligning seems to be a thing with html5, i couldn't get it solved in time but it's something i'll have to look into for LD51 :)

Lovely art! I'm not convinced death is inevitable once you find all the tools.

Played the web version:

The breadth of the game is quite impressive for a 3 day Jam. The graphics reminded me of Illusion of Gaia, a real nostalgia trip. The sound, the music, and (for the most part) the mechanics were all pretty smooth even if they took a few deaths to figure out. I agree with the comments that noted that a tutorial might have gone a long to move this game from "overwhelming" to "expansive."

Overall, great job!

Solid entry with quite a lot of things to do.

a bit of a shame that, in the web version at least, the tilemap has a bit of a gap next to a small stone heap.

guilloteam 2022-04-15 08:02

Nice! I had some trouble figuring out the controls (Maybe displaying them in the itchio page?), but the scope is quite impressive. Mood is really cool, and graphics stand out!

Nice entry, fits the theme, good job!

Making a decent survival game is difficult but you have done it. I could probably play this for hours. I like the fact that the island has a bit of a mystery surrounding it too. Really like the art style too. kind of reminds me of old school harvest moon. Really good entry and well done.

Really impresive game, especially for Ludum Dare. Beautiful pixel art and really nice music. Great job with the game!

saintchristopher777 2022-04-15 14:56

Nice game! You got a lot done in 72 hours! Art and music are good. There _is_ some weird clipping/overlapping on some of the terrain - probably need to readjust some sorting layers or "order in layer" info for some game objects, is my guess. Great work though!

sarah-alexa 2022-04-15 18:28

I love the art for this. It looks great and fits the theme really well. The music is very chill too and that fishing mechanic was very familiar to me, absolutely loved that.

My criticism is really just that the map was too big. It took me a while to figure things out and it made managing things take a little too long. The same with finding items. I think if it was much smaller, the gameplay would be a bit easier to figure out and feel more frantic.

Other than that, I don't have a whole lot to criticise! You have a farming system, fishing, digging, exploration and sleep mechanics as well as a few others. This was really well done and I would love to see this worked on more to see where it could go. I think this has great potential!!

Nice game, very ambitious scope for a jam! I played the WebGL version and was getting these weird screen tears in the graphics. I'm thinking the tiles were slightly off or overlapping in a way to cause the tear. Screenshot below. Great entry, nice work!

Your team did a lot of work in this amount of time, not even sure how you manage so much. I like the idea of a survival game, like Don't Starve, but I believe is a bit too big. I would recommend this, how about you start in a smaller island, and you can exchange your experience for land tiles? so you have more room for the actitives you like to do the most.
