really loved the assets and mood overall! Keep up the good work
Very awesome assets (I loved the music and models for the bases and ship), but for the gameplay: I couldn't work out what to do or where to go but I eventually found my way and entered the pipe repair mission which doesn't seem to work for me. And then the big guitar destroys the universe and the game ends.
This is really inspiring game and has a lot of great things. The sea ship flying in space is great already, but I was shocked when I was allowed to walk on surface of the star, then into the machinery place and pick up objects! The things I would fix -> being able to skip the first cutscene, its fun, but quite long and you cant skip it if you want to play again. Also some animations on the ship while swimming through space would have been nice, on the steering wheel especially and maybe add more manuverability to the ship? I know its all probably due to the lack of time, but its really worth polishing, it looks like the beggining of a really cool and ambitious project :) Great concept and great visuals, I really like just roaming in space in that ship!
This looks like a very good base for the game! I really liked the physics on the boat, even though it took me a while to learn how to drive it correctly! I got to the pipe fix part, but unfortunately I had trouble picking up the pipe, and it glitched through the floor and I ended up falling into a deep sadness because of this... Overall, it seems pretty good, I just noticed some areas that could use some fixing, such as the pipe part.
Voice acting is such a rare treat in game jams. The visuals really reminded me of Myst in a really cool way.
Very nice voice acting, and very curious lore! The first thing I noticed is that you can't skip the main cutscene, its good but after starting the game a few times it would be nice to be able to jump right into the action. Also, maybe the suggestions and controls should stay up for longer, or you could have a menu to see the controls again. Quite often i found myself forgetting what key to press, like F to lift the pipe. It would also be nice to have a timer on screen to know how much time you got left. Other than that its a very interesting game, and I loved the silly ship and premise.
voice acting, wow! all in all great time, i really had fun and enjoyed the visuals.
I loved you sound and graphics, good job!
Hello from Indicator event :) I'm from a party with a crazy snowman game. Very nice art and voice acting! But unfortunately gameplay made too hard too play. Took a lot time to fix this super-glitchy pipe, but every time i go out from first star i got destroyed by guitar, i cant even reach to second star. Is this the only ending? Anyway 3D graphcs is made so good, a lot of work done in just a weekend, nice entry!
I loved the sounds, the graphic, and background theme. The game has a lot of potential... keep going
@bohmann burning guitar is not the only way of ending. There is a time limit to fix that pipe (around 30 sec). Please, try again. We want to know how many gamers could rich final.
Great style, feel the "outer wilds" vibe. It's nice that there is voice acting. Особенно Русская )
Finally i saved the universe from devastating guitar! New build made pipe interaction way better. All was good except of one time accidentally i jumped off the ship into the void while returning :D As i said earlier it's a really nice funny and uncommon game. Puzzles for me was too easy, except the pipe heh:)
The assets in this are awesome. Flying around a sailing ship in space is a cool experience, and it looks great. The actual gameplay seems to have been an afterthought here, though. As a character with so much hyped up lore, I'd expect to be doing something a little more impressive than fixing a broken pipe, and the controls are sluggish and lack feedback. When I mouse over the potions, for example, it'd be nice to have some sort of a prompt to show that I can interact with them, since I found it difficult to tell if I was selecting the wrong one or if I just wasn't close enough, or if they weren't interactable at all. I want to reiterate, though, that the visuals are awesome and the premise is ambitious. Good job.
Love the assets, love the theme!
It was a bit tough understanding what to do; the instructions and help text flew by pretty quickly.
Would have liked to see more ship sailing in space; almost as if I really wanted to roleplay Treasure Planet :)
I liked it! Sounds and graphics are great.
Great game, excellent sound and graphics.
I tried to play but for some reason the rar file just won't come apart properly for me. Unsure if other people are having this problem so I wanted to let you know. The images look great though!
Great idea, you did a great job! All hands on deck! get ready for adventure!
It is a great game with a lot of details, but i suggest you add another language, keep up the work
@otterfaelure Sup✌️ Kinda sad that you couldn't play the game. Try updating or reinstalling the archiver, it may help. This problem can also occur if there is not enough hard disk space
I think the game had a lot of cool ideas, I really liked the idea of sailing between the different stars, and doing things to fix the issues. Unfortunately one of the biggest things that stopped me from trying more than a few times was being forced to watch the opening cutscene everytime. Maybe I missed the control but I wasn't able to skip it, and also there were no subtitles so it was kind of hard to hear.
@mrhumannn Unless you have an absolutely massive game I have plenty of room. =( And unfortunately the programme I used was a fresh install. I do hope other people don't have the same problems though and that it's just on my end!
A very interesting game, it took me with its atmosphere and visual component. And I also liked the story. But I got confused in the management. And in general, the game is very cool.
i thought the scenes were interesting and well executed! i was able to complete it, though i'd say i found the puzzles a little confusing. also, i fell off on the yellow planet and had to restart the game because i was falling for forever.
You did well to implement as many as three riddles and made so many different graphics, but everything works very crooked, huh). I think you should have taken a little less content and polished it already, but it was fun to play it now - thanks).
Wow! What a cool submission - engaging lore, awesome assets, fun worldbuilding, and voice acting! Who doesn't love a whimsical space adventure? Super well done.
Great visuals and mood! Very impressive that you were able to make something so visually engaging in such a short time. I really enjoyed driving the star-ship, and I think it would have been cool if more of the game involved piloting the ship. Great entry!
I'm always a sucker for eastern European fantasy aesthetics like this!!! Absolutely loved the experience, though short. :D
This game has a lot of really cool things going for it! I really liked the music and assets, the tone was meditative and calm and very creative. I had some trouble understanding the controls and what I was supposed to be doing. I couldn't figure out how to interact with the pipe, or possibly the interaction was not working correctly. I think clearer communication with the player could help this game feel more polished and accessible (a timer in the pipe section, for example). But most of all, I was struck by the overall mood of the game, which managed to shine through. Nice entry!
@subcreation we understand that pipe and controls is a problem for many players, so we added a tutorial in subscribe of game. Thanks for your comment, we glad that you played in our game!
"There are three stars in our game, and you should help each of them in correct order. Red star must be in great danger, yellow can wait a little, and white star used to start recovery process after Space is saved.
On Red star you should fix the pipe (click the red button (E), then take pipe(hold F). You have 30 sec) Yellow Star: it is necessary to put the branches of the tree in the order of the seasons, starting from winter. White star: you need to mix the bubbles in the correct order. Which one? “ Richard Of York…”
Controls: WASD Interact: E/F (E is for red button on the first star) To leave star: Y"
Love the concept for this, graphics and music and mood were all very solid too. Gameplay was a bit wonky (fiddling with the pipe took ages) but I still enjoyed it. I was hoping someone would tackle more space and galactic themes for this LD. I also got Zork vibes from the first location and the art style, which is always welcome. :) Молодцы, ребята.
@hecateras Спасибо, что играли в нашу игру:D
I enjoyed this game I think team can do big and best projects
Great job and a very fun game. Keep it up!
An ambitious project. Some great ideas there. Interesting lore and nice environments. Could do with a bit more player feedback from doing the things. The red button was not obvious and pressing E on it didn't feel like it did anything, until everything exploded.
Beautiful assets and design
thank you for including a solution to the pipe part. i could not figure out what i was doing wrong. but thats a minor thing...
i really enjoyed the space pirate aesthetic. landing on the red planet and seeing the wee pirate house on a massive ocean was a really nice, the level itself was so nice i just hung out in it for a while.
overall i like the idea and could make for a fun setting for the artists to go wild
An interesting story. I liked the little world of the Star Keeper.
I really miss feedback and the usual order when interacting with interactive objects: - I don't always understand which subject is interactive and which is not. - I do not understand whether the player's "camera" is pointed at the object and whether I can take it from the current position.
I think highlighting the contour of interactive objects would help solve these problems.
I really liked environment art. Almost half of the atmosphere and lore is felt through the design of the ship and buildings. Plus, the amount of work on the visual, I felt, was pretty big.
I really like the theme, and I just generally like the idea of flying a ship like that, but a few things:
If it is a ship, then it would be cool to have some sort of solar wind mechanics, or some enemies to fight on the way (that might be the plan in future, to be sure, or might even have been in the game I just didn't get that far, see below). Right now it might as well be clicking on the star to go there.
On that note, the view as is is a bit annoying with the mast directly in the way, especially if there really is no need for it to be there, mechanically.
Lastly, I couldn't work out how to lift the pipe.
Anyway, liked the audio a lot and the premise!
@fromage Hi, thanks for your feedback! We added a tutorial what to do on stars in description of the game ^^
Oh, I know. Just couldn't get it to work, sorry. Might just be me, though.
Забавная игрушка вышла. Молодцы.
Cool game idea! I think it still needs a lot of work though - a big 3D endeavor like this would be really tough to fully flesh out in a weekend!
This was a very ambitious entry and you guys created something really cool and unique, but it has some flaws that hold it back. First off the controls are kind of unintuitive. I think the problem is that there's little to no feedback for anything you do. In space, you cant really tell if you're moving forward and when you're on the ground on the stars you can't really tell what you can interact with.
If you're going to have the player pick up the pipe in the red star to solve the puzzle, you should give them the ability to pick up any of the other props that are lying around for consistency. I found myself running around trying to pick up items in the other stars but couldn't tell if it didn't work because the mechanics were broken, or because I was pressing the wrong button or something. Also, don't give the player explicit instructions on what to do when they enter a room, let them figure it out themselves.
You should also add an icon, like the one that appears when you look at the red button, to show what is interact-able. When I walked into the hut on the white star, I could not find out what to do. I got there on my 2nd playthrough after failing the first time (and switching to Russian for the awesome voice over) and I found myself spamming clicks and F and E and other keys on the bubbles, the props on the floor, the flasks on the walls, and nothing ever happened.
The world you guys created is very cool, the amount of unique models created is very impressive, the music creates an awesome atmosphere and the fancy VFX guitar at the end when you lose is particularly amazing. Obviously the game has its issues because of the rushed development but I think you guys could polish this up and create a very unique game.
