Liked the overall design, I just really wish there was more time to read the messages, since I lost due to a message in a board before I even had the chance to read it, but I guess thats the hard part of being a moderator hahaha
Really interesting take on the theme!
Such a good idea, and very well done!

@chaoseiro thanks for the feedback! yes perhaps it is a little too fast—finding the proper speed for things has been a hard design choice and I'm afraid I probably made a bad one. for the "post jam" version I will add speed options. that being said, we designed with replayability in mind, so give it another whirl when you have the time!
@miraculousmelon thank you so much!

Awesome concept, brilliant dialogues - in fact, sometimes I wanted to join the discussion. :D
Wow guys how did you generate all the text content for this, it's great.

@dokan thank you!
@cryptomnesic first thing i did once we had the idea down was to build a tool for writing "post chains" (which turned into threads) and sent it to the other people on the team. this was a pretty risky move, as there wasn't even any "gameplay" until nearly the end of day 2. but approximately 2/3 of the total dev time was spent with me writing game code while my teammates simultaneously wrote dialogue, even before any of the mechanics were implemented. in retrospect this was a really good idea because we could be making content for the game independently of the game itself. we knew it had to have a lot of writing and characters, because of the nature of the idea. still, I'm really impressed with how much quality stuff my teammates managed to write - i was very busy programming and could only make a few chains myself.

The premise alone made me laugh. Had a pretty good time playing. I think that the ramp up of messages could be a little bit smoother. In the beginning there is a LOT of wait time, but then once there were three boards going at once the difficulty spike was pretty rough!
Overall had a fun time though!
Fantastic idea for 'delay the inevitable' :)
The game picked up fast and I found myself frantically skim reading the posts. I really enjoyed the different chat group themes and the writing for each. It's really punishing if you don't immediately slap someone, or maybe I just need to git gud.
Great idea, and its executed well too. The writing is extremely good for a LD game. My only issue is that the game ends up being a little bit easy when you realize that if you slap someone early, and then slap the complainer right after, there's no consequence to making people angry at you. Overall though, one of my favourite entries so far.

I had an absolute blast with this game and I'm thoroughly impressed by the amount of effort and writing that went into this! Really great game, I had a lot of laughs. I just kinda wish I can see the chat that caused me to lose the game haha

@tsugumi thank you! @zakahrum @rschoellgen @boxedmeatrevolution @sheol thank you all for the advice! i am putting together a "post-jam" build that addresses many of your complaints. I'll upload it as a separate download soon, though i'm not sure if i should wait till the end of the jam for that...

Really enjoyable game, I was surprised by how much content it seems to have. I enjoyed it a lot.
It's a really fun way to interpet the theme, and you actually executed it very effectively, congratulations.

The idea is hilarious and its executed very well. I have no idea how you where able to make the game and so good music + art. I really think this one is going to rank very high.

haha amazingly fun :D the music is a great fit for it. I'd love if I could see the offending message :/
The writing is great, really on point.
this is so dumb. its perfect. moderation is a futile effort and this simulates that very well
Wow! So much content for 2 days. Awesome work!
A lot of text was written for this game, very impressive. I also loved the little details such as the post count increasing with every post a user did. I'm not sure I understood the game, but it was fun reading the posts :)

@nathanoc @noh @brachistosauro @nullval @radmccool @easyluckygem thank you all so much! @necdilzor :D i'm glad you noticed that!!! i wanted to make it feel as organic as possible
Ha ha, this is hilarious - awesome concept! My only gripe is that when you lose it's all of a sudden, and with no indication why. Having some sort of feedback when you've missed something that should've been slapped/banned as you go along would be good. And some sort of trackable lose parameters - "virtual hitpoints" or something (however you could make it thematically work). Overall though, great work!

Just pushed an update that addresses many quality of life concerns :) Judges, make sure to select the zip with LD50 in the filename, as that is the "official" jam version!

We actually had a similar idea to this when we were thinking up game ideas but decided we wanted to do something a bit more standard for our first jam :) love that you had the same idea.
This is actually pretty fun and feels really polished. My one complaint is I wish I could read the post that made me lose in the end.
