My favorite game I've played so far on here! I loved the concept and what you did with the theme. It took me a minute to figure out how to play, so maybe a quick tutorial screen would be helpful. But once I figured it out, it was a lot of fun. Great job
@matthew-roelle Wow, thank you!! I agree I should have added more of a tutorial since the concept isn't what I'd call intuitive, but yeah- thanks again!

Really cool once you figure out the concept. Quite challenging. I like it

Interesting concept, I'd love to see a bigger game that uses it
Interesting idea! The minigame confused me for a bit, because I thought I just had to mouse over the symbols, and couldn't really tell the difference between a successful bullet in the mini game and a failed one. I guess the little sound effect says if I clicked it fast enough?

First time running I couldn't figure out how to fire (saw some kind of countdown?) and then the game crashed when I died -_-. Managed to fire some on my second try, though usually could only managed to click on a small fraction of the prompts, I think this game depends a lot on what kind of mouse/touchpad you use ;). I also had trouble figuring out which direction the bullets were going to go - was it where I first clicked, or where the mouse was when I finish clicking through the prompts (so, someplace random), or some random offset of one of those? Couldn't tell, so made it frustrating that when I managed to fire a bullet, I had no idea if it would go towards anything useful or not.
I really like the concept though, and picking up discarded bullets was lots of fun =).
Edit: Sound is working now, somehow it got muted on my system between playing the last entry and this one, sorry =)
@differentname Yeah, getting the player to understand the mechanic is probably my weakest point here. The sound effect plays just whenever the circles disappear- in retrospect, I definitely should have only played it when the player clicks it.
@jimbly Yeah, there are some problems with it crashing. These are due to the fact that it is developed with the current beta of the Godot 3.0 engine which is a bit unstable right now. Thanks for the feedback, though! Also, the first bullet goes where you aimed before clicking and all consecutive bullets go where your cursor is currently.
I had a lot of fun with this! As you stated the game's a little unclear unless you read the game's page. (I did, so I was fine :p)
I managed to get pretty far along. The mini game really made this entry for me. It's something I haven't seen before, which is always welcome!
Thanks for a fun game.

Really like the idea of the minigame to shoot the bullets and the back and forth between collecting bullets and getting to shoot them.
Was quite confusing to begin with but ended up being quite fun. Would love to see what more you could do with this.
Really cool game! love the bullet time bit just before you fire

Great concept, challenging game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 40 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yel2Ap19z6s
It's a a good game overall, the shooting mechanism is interesting but I found it boring pretty quickly. In my opinion the weakest point is the music and that because of the fact that there is almost no melody.
I absolutely love the mechanics! An incredible addon idea to the shoot and dodge kinda game. I imagine this with a high paced electronic music, kinda like hot line miami but perhaps more .. futuristic? Great game overall

Very interesting idea! I just feel that the aiming minigame interupts the games flow a little too much, it somehow feels like playing two different games and not having enough time to adjust to them when it switches between them. Maybe having a more smooth transition between them to be able to prepare to what is about to happen would help?

Can't say anything new that hasn't been said already. Good game but needs work.
Great use of theme here, you make a simple but very challenging game. As someone pointed out, it's very complicated to understand the mechanic at first and the sounds are very confusing. I think that if you make more visual feedback for the player when he fire the bullets it will be a little more satasfactory for him. Don't know if the use of the camera is the best here, maybe a zoom out when you fire and a slow motion to see if your bullets hit or not would be a good adition. However, very strong entry, one of the best that i have played for the compo.
It becomes too hard too fast, maybe a little bit slower.
Other than that awesome game, I'd like to see post-Jam version.

Ah man, this is way too difficult for me. Really cool idea though.
How was the experience of using the Godot 3.0 alpha?
@jjjjason It was pretty good! Lots of things that took some getting used to but were ultimately very nice to work with- the audio system, the particle system and the ability to directly set some variables rather than use getters and setters(position, rotation, etc). It had a few peculiar crashes, but that's to be expected of a beta.
Definitely something to look forward to!
