Kind of an interesting concept, I like the art a lot. Good work.
I love the art for the game, especially the UI.
You did a good job making this in just one day.
The controls felt a little clunky to me. It was hard to tell whether or not I was actually in position to pick something up. A more flushed out tutorial would help a lot. Without the tutorial, the first day felt way too fast, since I still wasn't sure what I was supposed to do.
Cool game - I love the Art Style. Player seemed slow. Didn't know what to do when it got dark so I would Die?
Cool game, I love the art, my only complaint is that the player moves really slow, and maybe that is by design and I'm just impatient. I guess he is a turtle after all :turtle: Good job!
I love that art, i love turtles! :) Good job. But you need to add some game text like "Press 'F' to pick up"
Nice for 1 day of work. Very nice art. The character is kinda slow, which is understandable, he is a turle but still as I playerm I got little bit bored quite fast because of this. Also I got sometimes lost and had a hard time returning back to the sacrifice circle.
I really liked the art style! It was very simple but consistent and pleasant. I think the character moves too slow which makes it a bit frustrating to move around and look for stuff. I eventually died on the second night because I couldn't find enough sticks and I didn't want to try again because it was so slow (also would be nice if you could skip to the next day once you founded what you needed to sacrifice).
In any case, it was a very solid first entry, and amazing that you managed to get it done for the COMPO after you missed the first day!
All by yourself, this is damn good! Controls are simple, gameplay is straightforward, and it seems like you had reasonable scope. You have a good unique style, take advantage of that.
Pretty good for a game made in a day. I liked the art and user interface. A way to speed up the time could be added as i found myself waiting a lot for the next day to come. I also came across an issue where my items would disappear if i picked them up while i had a full inventory. With some added content this could make for a really interesting game!
Another cool entry here. Cool that you have implemented crafting / inventory system in one day.
Having a map or radar showing the direction to the altar would be nice: I have got lost once. Managed to get pass 3rd night and then my inventory got full so picked up items disappeared to nowhere.
Having turtle as a main character is cool explanation of why it is so slow!
"I love turtles." For the sequel, increasing our movement speed - or allowing us to craft boots - could be brilliant.
Recalls the nights I played *don't starve together* with friends. Great mechanics and graphics effects! It is easy to get lost at the beginning (just like DST) but that's fine. If there is any sound it would much better.
Cool game but it got boring pretty quick when you only did the same thing over and over and once you got the sacrifice down you just had to wait for the next. So a speed up mechanic or that the sacrifice gets done when you put all the things on the ground and does not have to wait the whole night doing nothing. The art style and the concept was really cool but a little bit faster paced and the game would be better.
I like the graphical style, the night has a cool effect to it. The mechanics are sound. I had a few issues - the targeting was either off or I didn't understand it well. It was really hard to target what I wanted to "attack" or even pick up. The night vignette covered inventory and I once failed right when I was standing on the pentagram with the items. I also thought I have to collect the candles as well, but that didn't seem to be the case?
But those are minor issues and overall it's a really good entry.
I really like the style of the game, the concept was awesome! but i thought that some sound effects could improve it as well as more craftings and survival aspects :) i can see this becoming a really good game if you put more work and effort on it
Really good job - seems polished
