Very good, but is anything supposed to happen when you are done? also the detection meter decreases very slowly, overall good :)
I found you have to go back upstairs to win. I HATE HAVING FOOD IN MY BEDROOM! But seriously, fun idea, lovely meal, cute dog bark.
This game is amazing! I like the 2.5d style. Would you mind checking out our game https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/toaster-boy
Fun combination of elements. The vision restriction is well done but the ingredients handling was a little difficult to realise how it works. Once I fogured out how it worked was easy to win. Make more levels!
Nice work! I liked the combination of genres, and the game was fun. I really liked the 3D walls. They gave the game a really cool effect that I appreciated. Also, you should probably add controls to this page, as it took me a while to figure out that I needed to use "E" to pick up food.
Very nice game, and quite challenging. It took me a while to complete it (that is very good at his job!). I love the "light / shadow" effect, it's very well done.
I've noticed a small bug: When you hold down "walk" toward the fridge and push "E", the character will keep on walking (and making noise) while he's seeking an item in the fridge.
Overall, I had a lot of fun completing the game, congrats!
I really liked the perspective on the environment! It added a lot to the mood, not being able to see around every corner! It was good fun but unfortunately lacking a little in the sound department. Regardless, a great entry!
The idea around the concept is pretty funny, especially having been a late-night snacker as a kid.
I think one of the hard parts of stealth games is balancing out those moments of avoiding detection. Where the game (and honestly any stealth game) loses it's fun is when I'm just forced to walk away from my my objective to wait for suspicion to die down, which isn't as fun.
Maybe instead of just having to run away, you could add humorous ways of avoiding detection based on the environment, like distracting the dog with pepperonis, cramming yourself into a cupboard, wearing your mom's bathrobe and a showercap. Little things like that may help give the player more agency in sneaking around vs being forced to wait.
There's definitely a good theme here (I love when games are based on real life experiences rather than just other games) and I'd be curious to see where you take it post-jam!
This was me as a kid, so I enjoyed it quite a bit. I like the little sound graphic. I wish it wouldn't make sound when you didn't actually move (pressing up into a wall for example).
That was awesome!! This game was really playable as is, but you could totally build on it if you wanted! Great job!!
Good game.
This was reasonably fun. Shame there's only one level. I would have played more!
Fun stealth game. The mood, graphics, and sound is nice. could use a little eerie background music, but interesting
The first time i've opened your game, the menu UI doesn't look to good... But the game is prety neat, you have really cool mechanics and... The walls effect it's spectacular!
