LD42 — Running out of space

Potion Seller by CameronPenner 2018-08-16T20:32:33Z

Great game, feels more like a complete one than one made in two days! Gameplay is fun, and the inclusion of voice acting is surprising but it fits the game really well!

BLOCKADE by PixelJerry 2018-08-15T19:19:57Z

Very interesting idea! The graphics are great and the jams are sweet! On the other hand I found it very easy, wish there was some option to speed up the gameplay, like in tetris where you can speed up the blocks. Good job!

LaserJuice (Top Down Shooter) by NoTime4Name 2018-08-15T19:26:49Z

Great idea and theme exploration! Shaders and music are also noteworthy, but gameplaywise the control scheme is not the best, maybe switch to LMB for shooting?

Hello Ground by Kaiomoi 2018-08-16T19:13:34Z

Very solid game! Graphics are great and the gameplay is innovative. I also liked the in-game tutorial, which looks just as good as the rest of the game and explains everything in good detail. Can't even think of any suggestions for improvements, good job!

Really liked the concept, but i feel like there's just not enough content in the game, hope you will continue to explore it in the future!

Wow! Didn't expect so much kind words, thank you, everyone! We just found out that the video in the tutorial section was broken, so we fixed it and added a little bit more info to improve the new player experience! @blinkenlights @thislooksfun @fmressel @cbdevilla Thank you for your feedback! We're working on improving the new player experience and plan on releasing an update after the LD which addresses those exact issues!

NO SPACE FOR A NAME by Gaweringo 2018-08-16T19:52:25Z

The thing i liked the most about this game is it's graphics and overall mood, it really feels like i'm in some strange place, and i need to escape. Also, the two-way mass mechanics are interesting, didn't see it in any other games before. The biggest flaw i found is that it relies on trial and error gameplay, i spent most of the time trying to find yellow orbs on the level. I think it needs some sort of guidance, like when the screen gets increasingly more yellow the closer you are to the orb. Good work!

Awesome aesthetics!

Wow, that's a addictive game! Couldn't stop myself playing it until i found out what happens after 2 minutes. The visuals and overall aesthetics are cartoony and goofy, which is great and goes well with the physics-based gameplay. A couple suggestions i have aside from fixing bugs: * I think that the best strategy is to take it slow, and stay on each platform as long as possible, while the best moments i had with this game were when i was rushing from a falling platform on another one, i think that the gameplay should encourage these kinds of situations * Sometimes the jump doesn't feel right, like when you are touching both the floor and the wall and jump button sends you flying sideways or up in the sky, that feels really unfair.

Great job! P.S. I tried to find out what you meant by using tongue and while looking for some kind of button related to it, i smashed E a couple times, that was fun

@anstabo ahhh also forgot to mention, i kinda overlooked the controls before i played it, it's probably worth putting the usual loading screen between the main menu and the level itself on the first launch!
