My first game, be gentle!
You get 5 stars on Mood for the music. Great graphics, sounds a bit too loud vs the music.
cool idea, good work!
Very cool concept! The atmosphere is perfectly set between the graphics and audio. However I got stuck on level 2, Steve did eat the meat after the second door and didn't make it any further =/ I also struggled to get him out at the end of the tutorial, had to stay close to the wall to make him follow. With a few bug fixing this would be a super fun game!
I love this game and I love Steve!
Wow, nice idea! Really liked the mechanics utilized. The different whistles were also very nice. Good job!
Fantastic game, especially if this is your first game! Steves amazing would like him to have an easier time to get through doors and he was sometimes a little slow to start eating(gun range level) but overall great game!
This was a very good game idea and well executed. Congratulations to a very nice first game!
Great job on submitting! Finishing is a feat in and of itself so you should be proud! The graphic style is cute though the game felt a bit... rigid? Not sure how to describe it. Could be the time constraints didn't allow for more fluid gameplay polish. Still, congratulations!
Awesome soundtrack and a great mechanic idea. The whole keep him alive whilst not letting him kill you is a Real interesting dynamic. Glad there is that intro to how mechanics work at the beginning bc it would be confusing otherwise. I feel like some of the officers view cones weren't quite accurate as I was getting away with a lot of risky maneuvers. But for a first game this is great keep it up!
I really liked the idea of the game and the music was perfect. The tutorial was great - it was a really neat idea to do it the way you did.
Great job! Pathfinding might have been useful to get around corners, but they are zombies. The mechanics were interesting and fun!
really creative, i liked the idea and it was actually fun to play, although I ragequited but that just means it is hard enough. There are of course things you can improve but I am sure that you are aware of these, for example the tutorial at the begining and how it sometimes was hard only because the zombies got stuck in each other. But overall I think this was way above average and I did certainly not get the feeling that this was your first game, well done!
What a great little story! The tutorial was a brilliant idea. Still took me a couple deaths before figuring out that I got eaten by my friend :D Good choices on the models and music! My only complaints would be that the whistles were a bit annoying and that the timing was quite tricky with the timer on the Zombie.
The game didn't load for me at all on firefox, and took a long time to load on chrome (with no visible progress indicator). The premise of the game is quite funny, but it seems like zombies don't behave properly when offscreen in general, and the the behavior of Steve when told to feed seems a bit random, which leads to some frustrating gameplay. But it was very easy to pick up because of the solid in-game tutorial, which is something most LD games don't have, and I appreciated that a lot.
Nice game overall! I liked the options for the character. It took me a while to realize the player can get eaten by your zombie friend. As others mentioned, path finding for the zombie would be nice. I had some trouble with completing levels.
That was great!!! good job for your first time (ours too). I love the music pick and gary's hairdoo, that was a great touch, do you have said hair yourselves?
The win screen was great and I definitely got stuck on the firing line for a bit. Difficulty of the game was perfect. Just challenging enough. Right amount of levels too. Great Job!
Really well put together! Some basic short distance pathfinding for Steve would have been appreciated, just to make him go around corners a little better.
That one is one of my favorites games so far. I like the mechanic of keeping your zombie friend alive, while also having the risk of him eating the player and also how you can use zombies as puzzle solver. Some minor problems:
- at the shooting range I had to restart the level a few times because all the zombies were eating the first corpses. Maybe the corpses should have a "being eating by"-counter and when the corpse is "full", the zombies go to the next target. - it seems guards can get stuck at the doors, making the puzzles a little bit easier. - also the player can get stuck in a corner when Steve is too close.
But like I said, so far one of my favorites games.
Oh, I forgot to mention: I also liked the interactive tutorial a lot. It explains the game very nicely.
