Really good game. It's very polished and very fun to play. I love this "low poly style" but I hate that cricket!

Please, take a look at my game too: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/confessional

I really liked this game! I played through all 5 waves and I wish there were more! The low poly graphics are cool, the theme of the game is really unique and it fits the game jam perfectly. Really great job. If there would be 1 recommendation I would make it would be to buff the fire turrets. They feel pretty underwhelming compared to the freeze turrets. I had 1 jump pad, 1 speed boost pad, and then all freeze turrets and I barely took any damage to the base.

looks very cool but can't play it. the error message, (no other unity game does this) https://i.imgur.com/f9jFH88.png

Very fun! The controls were a bit weird.

One of the best tower def combo games I have played so far! The idea of taking a third-person view of a tower-def game have been done before, but it feel very fresh with the car idea! and the decision to be able to one-shot all enemies by driving on them feels very very good.

At first I thought I would only build damage towers, but by making them rather underwhelming and more of a "last resort" feel and the car so "OP", you naturally become more inclined to use car related towers. Also to have "Towers" that only effect your car in interesting ways is brilliant! There is so much potential in that.

Loved it from start to finish, also, great presentation all around. A good menu system when building tower, good sounds etc. Was a blast.

AAAHHHH this was really fun. the controls were sticks ant the sluggish. the camera was really restrictive on information but overall a very nice bouncy fun game.

I suggest health bars on enemies would be really good!

Oh wow another entry using cars to build towers :D I really enjoyed this game. Although I didn't feel like the speed and jump towers were really worth it because I had to go there to get some benefit and couldn't stay close to the base. I would have liked to instead be able to upgrade my car. The controls are really good and the enemy variety was impressive. Great job!

Nice game , 5/5 !!! Good luck!!!

Great game, although I realized near the end that you can basically just camp the base and move ever so slightly back and forth to kill bugs.

Surprisngly adictive, I've been playing this one for quite a bit! I would put the camera a bit lower perhaps so you can see better ahead

Very fun little addicting game. well done!

bodaciouslycrazy 2018-04-26 02:19

I love it. Simple and addicting. The physics of the car is a tad wonky, but not enough to ruin the fun. The jump pad is super satisfying on the later levels with massive groups of bugs. I love it!

Excellent. This is what an LD game should be. Fun, with some mechanics that feel great to use. Squish them bugs.

I can see that a lot of work was done in making this game and it really pays off well. Bugs always makes me creep out but i really loved this game. The satisfaction after killing the bugs is sooo damn awesome.. hahaha! Very well done!

Btw if u wanna try out our 3D sound based horror + comedy game, it's here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/memebumps would really appreciate your ratings and reviews! Thanks!

Hey, congratulations on your entry! It looks good, and I loved the music. The idea is fun and can become something a lot bigger and less repetitive. I like that you added a good variety of enemies and towers, even though I couldn't see them doing much, because I was constantly trying to run over bugs.

I had some issues with the controls. Specially when going on reverse. I can't really understand clearly what I think went wrong with them. They just didn't feel good and I was constantly steering to the wrong direction.

The overall vibe of the game is pretty neat! Congrats!

Ah, if you have some time, please take a look at my entry, as I'm still short of a few ratings: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/last-stand

Really neat concept, and I'm coming to it just after playing another combination with tower defense where I explained that it's not usually my genre but that combining it with the second genre made it work a lot more for me, and I can say the very same of this combination too!

Solid idea that's unfortunately not allowed to reach its full potential due to the car being very difficult to control. I'm not sure exactly what it is but I think it's the angular momentum being so intense and the car never really going where I expect it to after having turned a bit. It made it very, very difficult to hit any bugs with the car and ultimately I had to rely on the towers doing almost all of the work for me, turning it into a regular tower defense game. ):

I really think you could go somewhere with this if you kept working on it post jam and tried to tighten those car controls because, again, it definitely is a cool concept that really works.

I can see that you borrowed music and opted out of the audio category, but my compliments to the author of the music nonetheless! Good track, and it was a good choice for this game. Fit really well. Good work on sound effects too.

Nice job overall!

A really fun game! But I could not finish the last wave =)

mowztouch 2018-05-15 01:10

Good concept, as other said, control of the car is a bit random, but overall i could have played more if there'have been more wave or levels. Well Done :)
