looks cool and neat interpretation of the theme! seems like a missed opportunity that the scream button doesn't actually make a sound, though

I feel like you have the basis of a nice game here, graphics are definitely fun. Controls are a bit finnicky, I ended up just getting stuck sometimes. It was a bit difficult knowing where to go, if the map would should your current position it would be a lot easier. Overall a fun game!
an interesting concept, I remembered the statues from doctor who, an interesting atmosphere of the museum and a good gameplay, I wish you continued success
@yoss-iii thanks! Yes we did not have the time to implement it sadly!
@rubydaprincess thanks for this interesting feedback! Afterthough I think a Human Fall Flat kind of movement would be great here (but I'm still not sure on how to do that ^^). Also there were some internal debates about the fact of showing or not your position on the map.
Very nice game. Adding some physics-based mechanics would take this to the next level. Really like the crouch! Great idea and concept for the theme!
Really liked your interpretation of the theme. I agree with other comments that some sort of ragdoll physics would have really added to the game. I thought the level and whole game looked really nice. Enjoyed playing!
I like that you added story to this weird concept. If only I could push people around, and/or they trip me over so I lose time while standing up. Otherwise, very unique concept for "limited space".
Thanks @rongon ! Normally you can "push" people with the scream ability (there is a strong cooldown but it can help sometimes)
The game is interesting, it was quite nice to play it, keep working on it and everything will be cool
Took me a few tries but once I plotted a nice course on the map I finally managed to get them all. I would have really appreciated a restart button since some attempts were clearly not gonna work out. The controls were a bit sluggish but added to the frustrating feeling of people just being in the way. I loved screaming at people and provided my own sound effects :D
cool game, keep up the good work
The game was pretty cool, the idea was really nice and the game is entertaining. The mechanics are interesting but could be a improved a bit after the jam, I got stuck a few times and it could be nice to add extra physics were the people around you get pushed around. The idea of having to crouch or sneak were nice though. Nicely done !
Who was that rascal that wanted to put the sneak and crouch mode on mouse buttons? Would you kindly provide them with some PC-gaming training? I couldn't play yesterday on my laptop, since the touch pad doesn't like to work simultaneously with key press. The updated scheme seems much more reasonable, tho I couldn't put that to the test, since I'm a Linux peasant and only have the inundated web version.
I really empathized with the protagonist. Being stuck in the middle of so many people, while only having 2 min to see all the paintings brought the worst out of me. Constantly getting stuck on random props and the sluggish tank controls didn't help.
I think that the performance in the desktop build should be much better than the web version, the frame rate suffered a lot due to the number of people. I don't know if you have tried implementing optimization measures on that front.
The game was really fun and music really complimented the gameplay!! Good job!
Haha, this is a relatable game concept! It's a clever idea. Sometimes the collision is a bit wonky, running into stuff at an angle can cause your character + the camera to rotate in unintuitive ways and it can be hard to get out of the situation. The music is nice though and I like the silly artworks.
@voidsay sorry to hear that you got through these problems. You can still play with a gamepad if you have one! Concerning performances, we implemented some tricks within the very limited time we had, but it can still be complicated on the web version.
Thanks @cassowary ! If I had time, one of the first things would have been to fix that + make the character "Human Fall Flat"-ish (never done that before though ^^)
I was drew in by both the cover and the name. Love the concept! Got stucked a few times and sometimes the collision is weird, which make it even harder to move.
Very interesting game
The map is huge and the pages look great - same for the tutorial and intro, great job there
Now I feel the controls are a bit frustrating
The possibility to shout is a great idea
But only being able to move forward and backwards and turn feels too limiting with the time constraint
A strafe button to move from side to side would have been much more useful than the crouch button that doesn't really do anything mechanically from what I've seen
The map of the museum is a great idea, but I would have found it very useful if it included
- your current position highlighted
- also a highlight of the 6 pieces you're assigned to in this game
Impressive game scope-wise with lots of potential though, good job :grinning: :sparkles:
Has some problems but still well done!
