LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Infinite wheel by Ithildin 2020-10-07T11:05:01Z

Fun and well made! I think it might have been funnier if the music had been truly awful, like you're stuck in an inescapable wheel with the same 4 second loop playing? :D

Time Hopper by mao 2020-10-07T16:27:53Z

I'd love to play a detective thriller in this style, it's just lovely to look at.

Twist Turn Shoot Burn by gamepopper 2020-10-07T11:36:41Z

Obviously the soundtrack is a banger but I'm most impressed with the technical accomplishment. Your feed is a really interesting read. I see you're one of the criminals who voted for this year's theme :D

Set in Stone by Sn4pi 2020-10-08T17:51:19Z

Really slick game, looks gorgeous and plays smooth. I feel like maybe the levels should have been laid out more horizontally? I found myself shooting off screen a lot.

Good job!

the subject by drtizzle 2020-10-08T16:11:34Z

There's a real sense of presence in this game, a mood I can't quite describe.

The progressive music is really clever and evocative touch. Great game!

Escape the Loop by kittymac 2020-10-08T17:54:10Z

I have to echo the accolades above, the technical accomplishment is incredible. It pains me to say it but the controls are *really* fiddly. I'd love to play a more polished version of this in the wild, though.

Looping Stuck by peeweek 2020-10-08T16:56:48Z

I won't be playing this one, but I do appreciate the warning up top. That's very cool of you.

Looper by brethudson 2020-10-07T16:14:19Z

4 hours? 2kb? I challenge anyone to find a more efficient entry to the jam!

Ouroboros by Wendel Scardua 2020-10-07T23:14:58Z

It's a nice compact game bur fully realised. I like how there's a element of risk management in which penalties you choose to take. Good job, you really do feel 'stuck in a loop'.

Hands on Work by jefvel 2020-10-07T11:49:24Z

There are many ways in which this is not the ideal place of work. :D

vD.A.I.TEs by bellatrion 2020-10-07T16:48:26Z

I really wish someone would mow that race track!

You really got the difficulty just right, great job!

Beat Farm by Andrfw 2020-10-19T17:28:03Z

This game is adorable and really chill.

[I played it on my stream](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/775350453) if you're interested! Thanks :D

Troubleshooter: A Drag and Drop Adventure by Phlip45 2020-10-10T18:19:02Z

This might be my favourite game on the jam so far. It's extremely fun to play, and I love the VGA style graphics. Also, shout out to putting voice acting in the game, that's a rare bit of production value for a game jam. :D Good job!

Do-While-For by primitive-concept 2020-10-25T17:50:40Z

I really enjoyed this game, and I'm glad you could take the theme as a jumping off point to make such a stylish and weird experience. Good job!

Beaterform by ChicoMCastro 2020-10-07T10:16:16Z

This is good idea! I can imagine this where you have to do crazy jumps in time with the music.

Infinite Space (C64) by Madbeagle 2020-10-27T17:00:04Z

The technical accomplishment here is really impressive and it's a complete idea to boot. An ideal game jam entry!

Loopin'Space by Stracker 2020-10-08T20:47:46Z

Greetings from your shameless promotional GIF! :D

The quality of life details are really impressive: the plumes that warn you of baddies, the star conveniently positioned right in the centre. I get the impression the skill ceiling on this is high. Bookmarked for later.

Action Loop by iszlonn 2020-10-27T16:23:08Z

This is probably my favourite game of the jam because it didn't waste ANY TIME! In, out, inside of 5 minutes. GREAT JOB! :D

The Loop by Jin9310 2020-10-07T12:00:12Z

You've really taken the theme and ran with it, it's a novel action game but you quickly get into a groove. Man... that grey background is rough though :D Good job!

Beyond Death by Trypants 2020-10-19T17:13:23Z

Thanks for submitting your excellent game to my stream!

[Here's the VOD](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/775331476) for my impressions. Great job!

Hypervisor by DoctorMozart 2020-10-07T11:46:02Z

I'm not going to be able to play, and thus rate, this game but I really wanted to give a shout out to putting out an entire PnP RPG in a weekend! Great work.

Weighing of the Heart by thesedatedprince 2020-10-10T18:03:31Z

I was completely baffled and utterly enraptured by that. Wow.

*Edit*: That really was the most wild experience I've had in the game jam so far. Incredible.

Collateral Control by Jon_Nova 2020-10-07T10:28:22Z

I'd love to play a polished version of this! Maybe something where each puzzle has a no-mud solution you get extra credit for? Great job.

Tomb of the Starless Sky by toad 2020-10-27T16:41:47Z

Ribbit.

Do toads ribbit?

Croak.

Directive 399WH by ygrichman 2020-10-12T19:24:43Z

I thought both games showed a lot of promise and given that you essentially made *two* games for the jam you deserve double credit :D

Tower of Madness by Eduardo Yukio 2020-10-08T16:39:29Z

Good job on putting out a full game in 48 hours.

I appreciated how you kept the changes to the level interesting, and you put generous checkpoints exactly where they were needed. I don't normally enjoy these sorts of games but this was fun!

Hyperloop by very dark lord 2020-10-12T20:07:07Z

This is an astonishing accomplishment given the time allowed. You've really made the most of this jam! Great job! :D

*Edit:* And [here is the VOD](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/768533153) of me playing your game on stream. Thanks for submitting it!

Beam from Beyond by Inferture 2020-10-07T16:22:09Z

This is a great idea! I love how a match will start out as a free-for-all then becomes a little more strategic and then ends in madness :D

hudunnit by Minus 2020-10-07T10:50:27Z

The idea of all these detectives piling up is very funny but the hard cuts between screens makes it kind of difficult to work out what's going on. A lovely idea.

Loopscape by Tolga 2020-10-08T20:54:14Z

Boy howdy I don't like being spooked! This game was a **nightmare**... in a good way :D

Great job!

LoopChan by Kaish 2020-10-22T17:33:07Z

Thanks for submitting your game to my livestream I had a blast playing it. The little robot is so cute!

The VOD is [available here](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/778368994) if you want to watch it again. Great job!

HomePick, A Pet Text Adventure by Instafluff 2020-10-10T17:20:43Z

There's a lot of character in the writing. It's absolutely heartbreaking to see another fickle family leave you in the shop.

LOVE ME! PLEASE! :D

you are dead by noahw 2020-10-08T19:58:18Z

You don't get a lot of relaxing games out of the jam but this is far and away one of the more pleasant games to spend a few minutes with. Good job!

Doc Miau and the Failed LD47Jam by Akronsus 2020-10-07T16:07:35Z

Solidarity, friends. My game is also unfinished assets. :D

But you know what? At least you did the dang thing! That's not nothing. Good job!

Loop City by Fupi 2020-10-05T22:45:37Z

Such a clever idea, I love all the characters.

Sasha by amirrajan 2020-10-10T22:34:20Z

There's a really interesting tone to this game. Sort of detached but anxious. I like it a lot.

Z-Loop by MoonRoll 2020-10-08T16:27:28Z

You don't see a lot of finished games in a jam, congratulations for making such a high quality game.

Crocodial by David-Liddelow 2020-10-07T08:49:06Z

Ah yes, Crocodile: the most naturally circular of creatures! :D

I thought this was great, really builds up to a manic crescendo.

Hangin' Around by Nocity 2020-10-10T18:39:19Z

This game was hilarious and you are extremely polite. Good job :D

Spiiin by Temulgeh 2020-10-08T20:10:48Z

This is a really promising idea, I felt guilty every time I let that little guy fall into lava... which was too many times :D

Arround by nonozuchu 2020-10-27T17:48:48Z

This is the sort of game I like to see in a jam, just a simple idea that's really fun with just enough polish. Good job!

The Magic Hat by Shanzhai 2020-10-08T16:47:28Z

Probably the most novel interpretation of the theme I've seen in the jam so far. I'll echo the criticism that organising the time loops is tricky but only in contrast to how perfect the normal platforming inputs feel. Great job!

Robotic Rewind by mincho 2020-10-10T17:52:28Z

Congratulations on putting out a complete and clever game in 48 hours. You don't see a lot of finished projects in a game jam! Good job.

Chronometry by PrincessChooChoo 2020-10-08T18:17:24Z

That full-screen rotating clock effect in PICO is wild! You should definitely get this up on the bulletin board. Great game, far too smart for me :D

Ejected by Fryer 2020-10-08T16:22:12Z

I didn't expect this game to get my heart pumping but it's surprisingly tense! I quite like how long it takes to reach the station, it's something to aim for.

I think I found a bug in that if you scroll wheel you can throw 'nothings' to gain momentum. Otherwise, good game!

Orbitoor by omnes ludos 2020-10-08T17:40:03Z

I love a space physics game and this one is fun! I think it could probably do with a square window though.

Bhoot && Toobh by pune007 2020-10-08T17:09:36Z

It's a really clever game, is the thing. For 24 hours it's also an impressive amount of work!

I wouldn't worry about the theme, I see it as a jumping off point to inspire you. Good job.

Gravity Loop by martonel 2020-10-07T16:39:16Z

Such a clever idea but the gravity symbol is quite difficult to work out.

I did have a small problem: oops.jpg

Oh well, it was a lot of fun!

Escape Velokitty by JimMakesGames 2020-10-08T17:58:42Z

Honestly, I love the bare bones UI. There's a real sense of dread as you swoop past your cat into the great unknown :D. I hope this game finds its audience, 'cause it's great!

Chromen by CaiClone 2020-10-10T18:30:56Z

The writing and the mood of this game is spot on. You've managed to pour so much spirit into only 48 hours. I truly learned to hate my customers by the end. :D Good job!

UnStuck LLC. by Int 2020-10-10T17:43:47Z

I've never had more fun ruining my life through drink. Great game!

Around by Feesh 2020-10-08T20:27:28Z

There's a relaxing old-school mood to the whole thing that I enjoyed. Unfortunately I encountered in a bug in the Linux version where when I opened the door in the 3rd level I couldn't move at all.

Meltdown by Jetyh 2020-10-07T22:13:22Z

After a few tries I got the coolant working and score 5200MJ! I really like this premise but I don't think there's enough UI feedback to tempt me to work out all the systems. Good job, though!

CircleRun by PvPlayz27 2020-10-10T19:00:03Z

This game is honestly a lot better than I've given credit for. Sorry :D Good Job!

Dental Recviem | That's Always Happening by Usenrame 2020-10-07T22:26:02Z

We put the teeth in, we take the teeth out! It's the whole dentist package for a low, low price.

Monotony by jaxsen 2020-10-25T17:29:44Z

I gave you a bonus point for really making a game that embraces the most boring aspects of the theme.

I'm not being sarcastic, I really mean it. This game is impressively monotonous :D

[WebGL/HTML5] Out-looped by MelekTaus 2020-10-08T16:53:58Z

I love how accessible and satisfying this was to play. The nested loops were immediately cool and got me thinking about a massive Metroidvania in this style. Good job.

Smells Like Chlorine by TheGreenWorm 2020-10-22T17:35:06Z

This game was WILD! Thanks for submitting it to my livestream. You really took the theme and ran with it.

The VOD is [available here](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/778373320) if you want to watch it again. Great job!

Sushi Loop by Rol 2020-10-07T12:06:34Z

I can't seem to get the sushi to move, it just sort of wiggles about?

Is there a technique I'm missing?

An Exercise for the Reader by Jordan Kelly 2020-10-05T22:36:58Z

@fupi Amazing! There was a game in there after all :D

An Exercise for the Reader by Jordan Kelly 2020-10-07T15:14:16Z

@hungrycatgames Hah! A hidden bonus loop, wish I could say it was on purpose... :D

@tomate-salat and now the comments have become loops! I'm definitely putting on an art show for all the screenshots at the end.

@coda-highland yes... sour, not bitter; sour :D

An Exercise for the Reader by Jordan Kelly 2020-10-08T18:22:32Z

@l30nard0-b I'm definitely going to come back to this idea, once I've decompressed :D

Loop Control by Tomate_Salat 2020-10-07T10:59:30Z

So far this is the game I've felt most 'Stuck in Loop' in. The weird little lunges you have to do to get around the snake are fun to try and master. Good job!

Ninja Rabbit 2020 by fatalcaca 2020-10-07T22:39:42Z

It's a neat idea, and looks adorable. I also commend you for including a tutorial, that's some good production value. I think perhaps the wolves appear too slowly for a map that size? Apart from a few tweaks though this is a proper game. Good job!

Babysitting Astronauts by BrandonCimino 2020-10-07T22:33:20Z

It's an interesting premise, it'd be nice if the crew had more legitimate reasons to bumble around so you had to gamble on letting them act up. As it is, I will continue to rule this space station with an iron fist. :D
