Hey, sorry to hear that you have problems. You have to select the track with the numbers 1 - 4 on your keyboard :D
Some people asked me about the controls, maybe we made that a little unclear :(
Select Streets: Use the Keys 1-4
Rotate Street: You can also use the E and R key to rotate the street parts alternatively
How is the score calculated? Every street part used in the final loop (not parts randomly placed outside) give points and you get a little extra if you finish early :)
This game is phenomenal, awesome gameplay, themed well! I had a ton of fun playing it, @ifl3x Congrats! For making this game, it is amazing! Rate games around and get people to play it man! It is worth it, good job
@ds-nahogara Thank you very much ! It's really nice to here such feedback !
Nice puzzle with a pretty clear and fun core idea. Good job.
Great graphics/art-style in this. Great puzzle gameplay, really well implemented. :)
@tricky-fat-cat / @extar Thank you very much. Hope you enjoyed it :D
@snotax I really enjoyed your game, it is not common to see management game types here and I liked it. Well done :)
I think it's a neat puzzle game and the graphics and music are solid, but I often felt like I wanted more freedom to be creative. Maybe having more open maps with fewer trees and a few track pieces scattered around could make for some more open-ended puzzles (if you were to take this game further). Either way, great job!
@snailrhymer Thank you very much for your feedback. Yes thats true. Maybe the game could have had some more options / freedom for the player. We'll take this into account if we would take it further :D
That's a fun idea, and the instructions are clear, sadly I don't have a mouse, I only use a touchpad so I can't play it that much :( You should maybe add another mode of controls, like rotating the pieces with a button.
@toulou Hey man, sorry for that. You can rotate the parts with E and R. Maybe you can try it that way. We did not really thought about laptops, you're right :/
@snotax Oh right, thanks! Yeah now I can play it, it's quite fun, but super tricky! I played very slowly at first then realized I was short on time. Good game!
@toulou Thank you very much!
Good to see a puzzle game with open solutions!
Nice little game. Without the timer it would be more relaxing, maybe add an creative mode? Good job!
@bauke-regnerus Glad you liked it ! Thats a very good idea. If we are taking the project further, we will surely consider that!
Hey, I got ya on stream, thanks for submitting! Here's the vod if you wanna rewatch it. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/763143712
@justcamh Thank you for playing, yes i caught it live :D
Great and fun little game, was cool to play it on stream. I enjoyed it and I could totally see this being developed into a full game on mobile.
Very nifty little concept. It's also quite polished for a jam game. Well done!
Hey! A very addictive and a good mind-cluster game. The idea of your game is simple, yet super powerful as it keeps the player thinking what is possible to do and what isn't. Didn't find any bugs or mistakes there, I think the game is working just as you imagined it in your head, which is impressive 8)
Controls were simple and that is good in a game like this, no need for many controls or buttons. The level design was also good! Graphics also fit your game very nicely. And so did the music. I could just keep on repeating how everything was simple and polished, but maybe you already understood that. So nice job with your game dude!
This was fun! Thanks for stopping by the stream!
@tad @raffe @vem Thank you all for your feedback and your time!
Cool puzzle game ! I felt like the time limit was kind of out of place though, was it really needed ?
@stracker Thanks for your feedback. Ye we heard some arguments for both variants. Maybe in a further version there would be two different gamemodes to play. One with time limit and one without.
Very solid entry. Entertaining and addictive levels. Definitely would see it as mobile / Switch title in the future. PLEASE INCLUDE SAWING MACHINE IN THE CREDITS PLEASE.
Very nice game, fun and enticing, well done.
Fun game! Impressive polish for a jam game, didn't expect it to be timed, definitely helped me get better at the controls pretty fast haha
@mikoziq Thank you very much. I'll remember to do that :P The switch input is a good one, thanks !
@alpharock6 @r3l0ad1 Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad you liked it.
Nice game, love the idea.
Simple and clean but I think it can be made a great game with a lot with levels out of the Ludum Dare, I really good product man, congrats :D
@gabriel-dias-oliveira-de-almeida Thank you very much for your feedback! Ye, we're thinking about maybe porting it to mobile :D
Great idea, just maybe more convenient input would be nice.
@svyatozar Thanks for your feedback! Yes, we sre thinking about maybe porting it to mobile!
Played it live on https://www.twitch.tv/fatsheep__ Cool concept, I like the idea of giving higher score based on how many pieces you use, but i was too tired to try very hard
@fatsheep Thank you for your feedback! Ye, it gets complicated after a while :D
I liked this and cleared all the levels (not perfectly though). Very solid entry.
My vision isn't the greatest so having a more visible directional indicator on the starting gate and the jump pieces would have been nice to have. Perhaps in yellow or blue? Sometimes I'd have to place a jump and remove the pointer to see what direction it was pointing. (And depending on the surroundings even that could prove difficult when not in full screen.)
@epb9000 Thank you very much for playing and your feedback. Can't agree more. Now after some time and feedback I see that aswell. For a follow up version, we are definetly going to change that.
The time limit for me seems unnecessary it took from the fun puzzle feel of the game, other than that a solid entry
Nice game. I only wish there was a way to correct mistakes or at least restart a level without having to wait for the car to crash.
@flying-dog-fish Thank you for your feedback! Appreciate it. Yes, for a 2nd version it is definetly needing a reset button!
@fadrikalexander Thanks for the feedback. Ye we heard that from some people. If we are doing a 2nd version, we would be implementin 2 different modes. One with and one without time restrictions.
I like the idea. It reminds me of old games where you had to lay a train track before a train. It's cool that you get bonus points for using all the tiles (makes it more of a puzzle). I couldn't find how you would delete a tile which frustrated me a bit at times. All in all a nice game that fits the theme well!
@sludgekey Thank you for playing and your feedback. Glad you liked it. You can remove the tiles you set with a right-click on them :D
I really enjoyed this game. I'd support a full version. good job
Cool game, really injoyed it. The ingame tutorial was nice. Maby adding more cars to the racetrack would be intresting. Especialy with intersections. (If this already in the game, im sorry did not played all the levels)
@arad-hamidsamiee Thank you very much. Yes we are thinking about maybe a mobile or nintendo switch release :D
@leon-oost Thank you very much for the feedback. Really glad you liked it. Good idea! Maybe we'll add something in a 2nd version!
Cool game! I think this game could use with a lot of QoL changes. Being able to 'paint' the road tiles rather than click individually would be really great. It would also be nice to have more objectives. If you look at how popular bridge building games work, both from a UI/UX perspective and a gameplay goal perspective, I think most of those concepts would directly translate. It is important to give the player easy to use tools, to that the time between them having an idea, and them testing the idea is as short as possible. The challenge should be in thinking of a solution, not clicking on tiles correctly. Well done!
@rhoff95 Thank you for your Feedback. I'll surely consider those things in a future version :D
@ds-nahogara @hi-im-greg @raffe @arad-hamidsamiee About a year later... Car Looper is available on Steam as a full game :D Maybe some of you would like to check it out! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1543650/Car_Looper/
Awesome! <3
