I kind of saw the plot twist coming...

I kind of saw the plot twist coming...
The implementation has some problems, placing more than three in a row doesn't create a mill, for example.
Beside that, it's a nice, simple idea that builds off of classics and makes something new. Very nice!
A cute, simple game.
Not much else to say :P
Well done on the guiding mechanic!
Humor wasn't my style, but it gave a bit of a surreal touch.
I was really impressed by the amount of levels.
It's a very interesting idea, but I had trouble understanding exactly what I was supposed to be doing except dodging shocks.
Like the commenter before me, I felt that the shocks were more frustrating and random than satisfying to avoid.
A beautiful game, though :)
I wanted to jump on so many heads! Then I jumped on two heads at once and died :(
I'd suggest setting the aliens hurtbox quite a bit higher than the actual sprite. It's way to easy to die to crowds, otherwise.
Fun game in general though.
Doesn't work for me :/
A very cute game, I like it!
Unfortunately, playing until I got to 10 got irritating after a while, since I had to listen to the same clips. Being able to skip past the dialog would improve the game immensely.
Still, a very nice experience :)
Pretty nice game.
I had trouble figuring out exactly how to hold my hands to do everything the game required, though :P
It's like Carmageddon, except nothing works :/
Nothing in it seemed to work for me :/
I can't get this started :/
Either my browser freezes or the .jar won't run
Well, the storyline was interesting enough for me to want to play through it, but it doesn't seem finished.
Very pretty game, too.
Such a pretty game!
I like the concept. There seemed to be problems with the controls not being very responsive, probably due to the grid system. Even so, the game was very easy.
Nice work, all-around
First things first: the menu font is near-unreadable.
The aliens are indeed cute.
The game is decent, if dull. I got frequent issues with the gun not firing when I wanted it to.
A very pleasant experience!
I didn't really feel that the songs needed to end on their own. Throwing these out became annoying. Mostly since the camera was bound to them.
Very cute game. I enjoyed it a lot, despite the all-around buggy feel of it. Sinking through the ground, for example :P
It has crashed several times for me now.
I get an "unexpected error" :/
Clever enough, the game still calls you a murderer when you just stroll around, though :P
The game was about the message, and it got through very well.
There was not enough in the game motivating me to finish, basically.
There were multiple segments where I couldn't tell if I was moving forward or the game had frozen.
The game as a cool and distinct look, I like it!
I would have liked it if the dash had a lower cooldown, or the doppelgangers walk speed was slightly faster.
As it was now, just walking behind someone and mashing dash is more frustrating than fun.
Anyway, a solid game. Well done!
The waiting times were agonizingly long -_-
Beside that, the game was cute and pretty.
The fact that you have to aim far to the left is very annoying :/
Beside that, it's a clever idea, and a well-executed game.
The time between moves, and the time from move to pay-off is 2 hours longer than it should be.
It's a really impressive game to have put together in 48 hours.
Gameplay was more difficult than I could really handle, but reminds me of other well-made games with similar mechanics. All told, it's a really great entry!
I like this take on the idle/clicker genre. Fits the theme well and everything!
Not much else to say, it does what it sets out to do and does it well.
This game absolutely nails it's aesthetic, very well done.
I think the throw mechanic could have benefit from some more flexibility, and think another button than the mouse would have made more sense for attacks. Overall though: extremely good job!
It absolutely nails the theme, the art is great, the music is quite pleasant and the sound effects complement the theme really well (you kinda just wanna vibe to the music, but the horrible sound of your boss churning overpowers it).
Of course it's not exactly a *fun* game, but that obviously isn't the point  A good execution on a solid premise!
This was really good. Some very clear inspiration from something like Binding of Isaac, but it has enough of its own identity to not feel derivative. The way you get to build your own challenges feels really cleaver and creative.
The graphics and sound are top notch as well. Really impressive jam title!
It's an interesting concept that works out pretty well for a game jam game. Something like this as a multiplayer titles might have potential.
The concept sells the themes extremely well. Audio and music work very well to make the daily grind feel like an exceptionally tedious video game. Things you interact with mostly functioning as collectibles was a very nice touch in how arbitrary the whole thing feels. Which is appropriately depressing when applied to a real job!
I really enjoyed the thematic implementation, graphics and sound of this one. Unfortunately I figured out pretty early that you could just walk along and mash 'W', which made the gameplay rather trivial.
This was a solid jam game overall, in my opinion.
I enjoyed the look of the zombies a lot!
The atmosphere was great and there are some truly impressive physics here for a jam game. Sadly, the portals just did not seem to work very consistently on my end, which limited my enjoyment of it.
Really good art for this game.
The basic mechanics are a bit confusing since there are no indicators for how far your attack reaches. Also, the balance between enemies was a bit off. Crossbow enemies can pick you apart from the other side of the level with ease while most melee enemies just get kited for free.
Overall it's nice, cute game jam title. Good work!
Oh, I assumed there just was no music :/
Was told "Close the program" so I closed the program. Did I do it right?
I rate: stuck/loop
I love the very literal take on the theme! The goofy aesthetic really sells this game.
I absolutely adored this one. Hits a lot of notes that I enjoy. Platformer with a puzzly gimmick and a relaxed aesthetic is a good start. Then it just does all of those things so well.
Yeah, this is probably one of my favorite entries so far this time around.
This was fun! Thanks for stopping by the stream!
This is a really good effort for your first game!
I really recommend studying how old platformers handled jump physics, because the very sharp up down turn in this one feels pretty jarring.
I'll also third the advice from @pleb2.
Again though, this was a nice project to see. Keep at it!
Really solid concept that ended up feeling kind of buggy because I often couldn't swap robots at the nodes I was expecting. This seemed to be a collision detection issue a lot of the time, because if I kept moving and mashing it eventually worked.
I'd love to see a polished up version of the game, because I really enjoyed it when it was working as exoected!
All-around good game. Solid puzzle gimmick, spoopy atmosphere and generally enjoyable.
I liked this, exploring the ship and solving puzzles was fun and atmospheric.
The implementation of the theme, while valid, didn't add much for me in terms of enjoyment however.
The controls end up feeling extremely jerky, and not in a way that ends up being compelling to me. There's definitely a solid concept, with solid humor and graphics to carry it. However, it does not make me want to play more than a few tries at the moment.
It's a cute yet very sinister game, points for that. The gameplay works well, but I'd have preferred that the map be smaller overall, I think. It would also be generally helpful if attack enemy ducks felt more consistent.
So, minor gripes, but really impressive game overall. It's fun!
Stellar pixel work, very well done! The game did an overall solid job of carrying the aesthetic in a relevant way, very spoopy. I though the mirror scare was a bit forced but otherwise this was really good!
The basic gameplay is solid and I really enjoyed the SFX/music/art assets
Looks stellar and has a really interesting gimmick to it. I think there ended up being a bit too little going on when you were recording inputs, but that's honestly a quibble.
Really the type of game I love to see from a game jam!
@gurrg @maxmitchell @sergei201613 @coryru Thanks for the kind words and feedback!
All those things are definitely on the to-do list if we decide to put more time into it, @sergei201613. Don't you worry!
Yes, @dotsquare you can destroy them. They have more health than the regular enemies, but will take damage from a direct hit. You need two hits to destroy them.
Watch out though, they bounce! :P
Thanks for the feedback everyone! A lot of this is definitely stuff to work on,
@lamonfly I personally find that I can't get much highher than 200 points if I don't move the canons at all :stuck_out_tongue:.
Moving canons effectively lets you move your shot faster, angle your shot better and lets you move around wall segments to either save your life or save a segment.
