The music hurts my ears a little bit. I am really confused on what to do, the How To Play doesn't really help too much. The visuals are kinda neat though. That is the best part. The normal maps on the robots are really cool, I suggest that you make it easier to learn what's happening
@beavergames Thanks for the feedback. I had planned on a better tutorial and ways to map out which button affects what on the level but I simply ran out of time. I intend to keep up with the project though :)

Loved the graphics. The puzzles where very well made but for future games maybe write the controls ingame also?
Fun little game ! Once I understood fully the mechanics, it was lots of fun! I love how the robots kinda look like B-MO from Adventure Time!

I really liked your game! I gave you 5* for innovation, because I just love the concept so much. The graphics are pretty too, the music is just cool for such a game and overall experience is very nice. You put so much work into this game :) The only negative feedback I can provide is the clunky camera. I got used to it, but the mouse movement, rotating camera felt unresponsive and weird. But that was just a minor details :)
@iluvatar Thanks! Camera manipulation is still pretty iffy with me lol. I'll try and work on that next time. I appreciate the 5-star!
@gamedev-and-architecture Yeah I took some heavy inspiration from B-MO :) Thanks for playing!
I really like the characters, they are really cute. I Aggree about the camera but other than that, very well done! This is a quality little game you got here!

This was a really fun puzzle game. the only real feedback I have is that it's really titling that I have to wait for a platform i finish moving before I switch at a node. also it might just be me but I really wanted the arrow that shows the switch directions to be the other way around since it keep tripping me up. I really love the interpretation om the there, really creative!
@simex Thanks for the feedback! Yes I agree, I think the one takeaway I'm taking from this project is proper communication between the game and player, especially with something like a puzzle game. Actually, this was the first puzzle game I've developed! I wanted to try and branch from my comfort zone a bit and try to give it my all. I'll try to make a post-jam version on a later date :)
This is a really fun game. Quite hard too if you don't do a load of puzzles. Thematically the visuals and audio work really well together. This game also adhere's to the game jam's main theme really well!
My only real suggestions for improvement are twofold: - There's mild clipping and z-fighting occasionally. If you fixed that, visually it'd be perfect. - The tutorial is many many words, and its hard to take it all on board on a first playthrough. Maybe "show not tell" could be applied a tad more to help out here?
Overall, if this was a full game, I'd happily buy it. It seems like with some minor ironing out this would be fantastic! :D
@matt-jones I really appreciate the kind words! I had intended to make a tutorial level but I just didn't get it done in time. A "how to play" booklet was my last ditch effort to add some sort of coherence lol.

Even after reading the tutorial, it was pretty hard to figure out which switches were which, and I had no idea that the purple switch changed the order that you swapped between robots in - You might want to specifically call that out, rather than just say that it does "Something special", because this left me stumped for a very long time on the second puzzle.
That said, aside from the difficulties learning how to play, this is a cool puzzle concept! I got sucked in for longer than I expected, because every time I messed up, I kept thinking to myself, "Okay but *now* I know what to do - I should give it one more try." :)
@koolruz You know I didn't even notice I didn't specify that the swap was purple! :joy: Sorry about that! I'm glad you still enjoyed the game however!

Cute game. I like the concept be felt it was too difficult initially. I would have liked some simpler puzzles at first to grasp all the concepts. I also did not understand the logic between when I could and could not switch robots. I thought I understood, but then something would happen where it seemed to contradict what I had thought.
Nice game. I didnt understand how to play it and just pressed buttons until I figured out how to switch robots and such. Once I started to understand it was kinda fun! Understanding the logic was hard too though
Great concept, very nice execution and presentation. Didn't quite get how it related to the theme, but it's hardly the only game that that could be said about. I appreciated the way you made the simple block geometry/styling into a feature and matched the sonic aesthetic to it.
Had a little trouble figuring out how the different switches functioned even after reading the 'how to play', and it wasn't totally clear when I could/couldn't switch between robots, but that's the kind of thing that an extra hour or two of polishing time would fix.
Definitely a strong submission!
@pete-valeo Thanks for the kind feedback! It was a stretch really, but the theme inspired the color change sequence for the robots, as you have to loop through them to solve the puzzles and sometimes inverse the order of the loop. It was the best idea I could come up with at the time.
Ahh, that makes sense! I think my favorite thing about this theme so far is seeing how wildly different everyone's ideas of 'stuck in a loop' are.

Cool, creative concept!
The graphics look awesome, and the music fits the game nicely. After a struggle to figure out how everything works it was a lot of fun. The puzzles were challenging and because of that I ended up spending a fair amount of time with this game, which was a good thing.
A solid entry, good job!

CUTE Robots, i found it hard to get understand how the game work but once you get the hang out of it it starts to look fun, overall good game but need some polish and refinments, well done.
Impressive. Graphics are nice: simple yet it all blends in. Controls are a bit confusing. It would have been cool to have a quick hint of the controls when you start playing. It's all getting easier once I went back in the how to play screen  .
Pretty cool overall. Nice Job !

Those robots were so nice! I'm not good with puzzles so it was a bit challenging but I still enjoyed it
Everything about this game is super cute, even down to not being able to neglect any of the cute robots and leave them on the same square for too long. Also the 3 colour clone mechanic is very similar to my entry, and it's super cool to see we interpreted the theme in similar ways, good job!!

Really solid concept that ended up feeling kind of buggy because I often couldn't swap robots at the nodes I was expecting. This seemed to be a collision detection issue a lot of the time, because if I kept moving and mashing it eventually worked.
I'd love to see a polished up version of the game, because I really enjoyed it when it was working as exoected!
Cute game! For me the second puzzle was so frustratingly complex that I was devastated to find out there was more xD Nevertheless, I think you came up with an original take on the swapping characters mechanic, and adding in the ability to swap the order gave an extra layer of brain-bending mind boggleness. An excellent puzzle game offering!
Charming art style, and uplifting, if repetitive chip-tune retro style music. Hilarious walk animation for the characters, add a bit more of this style for maybe sitting on buttons or swapping between the bots and maybe the hardness of the puzzles would be bearable for longer. Perhaps each bot could have a different personality?
Oh my gosh :joy: So many helpful comments! Thank you all @gamedevmatt @vem @darcytimms @tamail @thunderkerrigan @kisk @fingamer
I'm glad you all enjoyed this and I promise I'm taking good notes on this feedback.
Very cute game. It took me some time to understand, I even had to redo the "How to play", but thankfully, there was that option. After that, it was pretty neat. The puzzle were hard but in a good way. The mechanics that you have to change node when it's your turn turned out pretty relevant later on, glad about that :). I would probably make the camera more responsive and maybe push it back a little so we can see a bit more!
@marc-antoine-girard Thanks for the feedback! I felt that if I just allowed players to swap on the same node, it would make the game way too simple for my tastes as you could just swap to the robot you need to move to without moving anyone else. I'm glad you agree with this decision!
Yes the camera needs some more work. I did use cinemachine for the majority of the camera movement so I'll tweak the rigs and see what I can get, or maybe find an alternative solution.
I find it a bit too challenging to have to swap from different nodes each time. It makes the puzzles extra tedious at times. I like the art and music, very well done.
I was thinking, maybe there should be spots where there is a super swapper pad. That would allow you to pass the tedious points buts still sequence out the puzzle elements.
@tinykidtoo Thanks for the feedback! I'm sorry you feel that way, however at the time of development it was the best way I could think of to give my planned mechanic meaning. Otherwise, you'd just be able to swap to the color you needed at any given time. I'll see if this can be tweaked to feel less tedious as I continue developing this game, but I don't anticipate changing this feature entirely.
Cute game, very creative concept. i had some trouble with the puzzles each time i tried to stay at the same yellow or the respective color of each robot, which does not worked for me tough. The restart proved later on to be quite effective for me, to understand the puzzles and the theme. The mechanic could be presented in a easier level, showing the controls as you need it.
@roberto-nascimento-almada Thanks for playing! I had a tutorial stage planned but I was never able to finish it, nor was I able to convey the instructions well enough, so I do apologize for that. You are actually not able to stay on the node you ended any given robot on last time. That's part of the puzzle.
I liked your game my congratulations, I also did one if you want to know, and give me your feedback I am very grateful, this is the link https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/resurrection

It took me a bit to realize that the direction of the color wheel was switching when I hit a purple block, the game was actually a bit of fun though! good little puzzle game :D

Some fun puzzles. I think there needs to be a clearer way to show which robot is next, as I sometimes forgot to change the direction and then had to redo a load of things.
I love the graphics and the logic.

Deceptively clever! I thought I was done for when reading the tutorials, but the mechanics were solid enough that I got them just by playing. I couldn't get past the third level; I kept getting soft-locked when bringing in the green guy to the three red-button room :( The platform jumping was a little unforgiving, and I couldn't quite tell what some of the buttons did. Wish I could play more! Nice work!

Interesting puzzle and cute characters! Maybe it will be better if the camera view is fix... ^_^
I like the cute characters and the idea of swapping between them to solve the puzzle. The instructions were definitely needed to start, and I did read them before, but I forgot the details too quickly. It would be nice to be introduced to the different platforms one by one with instructions in the game. Anyway, definitely a nice work!
Pro: - BMOs are very cute - Voxelized Aperture Inc. works well - Core concept is straight forward
Con: - Gradual lerping on the camera made me motion sick VERY fast. Sticking to a traditional 1:1 mouse:camera movement would probably help. - Being unable to "re-use" a node isn't very clear - colorizing a "used" node, or a popup message when you tried to use one that was "used", could be easy ways to communicate that idea - There's no indication that, when you press a button, it affected a different platform. The most "elegant" way to resolve this would be to place platforms that move as close to their triggers as possible; or at least within their line of sight.

The robots assets are really cool! the puzzle (level 1 for now, may try next ones later) is well thought and the game mechanic is interesting!
I know I'm more sensible than average but I got a bit motion-sick because of the camera acceleration. Also I would suggest a bit more speed to the robot movement for less (or at least shorter) repetitive tries and error to figure out the puzzle (3D constraint).
Overall a nice concept! I believe it requires talent to design such puzzles and mechanics.

Amazing puzzle game (one of the bests). I really like the robots assets. Congratulations for your nice work.
Very nice. I really dig the simple aesthetic. The level design is great. Good job!
I liked this one quite a bit! The visuals were adorable and the mechanics were definitely unique.
However, I didn't feel like I had enough of an opportunity to really learn all of the rules before being forced into the thick of them. There are a *lot* of different things going on here, and it's really hard for a player to keep track of them all, especially in the first level.
Still though, once you get to grips with everything, this game's a pretty good time.
Hi all right, I came to make some observations, I loved the art, the character is very charismatic, and the music matches the game, the points I suggested to improve, it is about the size of the fonts are very small, and the camera that ends up hindering the gameplay for being very sensitive, congratulations again, a big hug.

A beautiful execution of a good idea. Your game is quite fun, I like the graphics as well as the sound too. The level design is very good, and the level puzzles are well designed. It is rewarding to complete a level. Changing robots makes the experience interesting. Congratulations.
There are some really great mechanics in here, and they combine together to form really interesting puzzles, but I did struggle to play the game. The camera angles seem quite strange (there seemed to be some degree of mouse control, but I'm not sure this made things better), and the "how to play" instructions were a lot to take in. A fixed and/or more zoomed out camera, and a series of levels introducing the mechanics one-by-one, could make this a really great game. Camera issues aside I did really like the art style.
