A very fun idea, and I had fun trying this game. Sadly I was not quick enough. Love the games atmosphere and great music. Overall a good jam game. Well done.

Nice flags, nice music, cool concept. Could feel a bit more tactile, felt more like a telephone keypad than hoisting flags. Still very good

cool, simple idea. Loved the way the flags waved and the music.

Clever concept. I managed to beat the first level (I played on a touchscreen so it made it less challenging). Dunno if it has great replay value but it is a unique idea and has great music! Nice job.

Bravo Zulu! Neat idea with signalling flags, and cute handrawn ship. I have completed level 1 with mouse, it was challenging, but fun.

The music is awesome, it reminds me of Sea Shanty 2 from old-school runescape.

The scroll bar on the code window moves VERY slowly with the mouse-wheel, which made it a little tricky to move around the list. I liked the slow introduction of mechanics, you paced them out well so that the signals got more complex over time without becoming overwhelming. I think the spelling mechanic was quite a lot harder than the numbers and substitutions though, especially when you're trying to go fast. It might make more sense to introduce the numbers, then the letters, as I think they're strictly easier.

That's a cool game with a lot of atmosphere and cool visuals! I really like the small touches like the flags waving in the wind! :)

But man that timer... That's really brutal tbh. I feel like I am waay too slow :(

Maybe instead of a punishing timer, you could turn things around? Give score based on speed and if you finish the flag quicker, you get bonus points or something? And then give a rating A through D at the end of the round based on how many points were scored? As it stands, I'm afraid I will never see the end of this game (but I am missing a lot as it seems, based on other people's screenshots). Sad.

Fun idea for a game. Nice sea vibes. Enjoyed how the music seemed to ramp up as the timer ticked down.

First level went pretty well but started struggling a bit when the letters were introduced. The scrolling of the list definitely slowed me down a bit and I was trying to figure out what words I needed to spell out and which ones were already established as an existing code.

Some good bones here though! Had a good time! Nice job!

Cool flags, is this music selfmade?

coro-yy 2026-04-26 11:17

Fun idea but very confusing in the beginning. Adding the option to use the numpad/number keys would've been nice. Music became a bit monotone after a while but I liked that it got faster and faster the lower the timer got. Graphics were very simple but fitting for this sort of game.

I found this one impossible to play with my mouse but I played on my tablet and it was a lot of fun. The spelling out of words was quite irritating, so I'm definitely glad that mechanic didn't come back after that level. The audio fit the theme perfectly and the visuals were fun. I loved the mnemonics for things (500 miles, 360 degrees, etc) that made them a little easier to remember. As the messages got more complicated it was a fun rush to try to enter the flags as quickly as possible. Great work.

Nice concept! I managed to accomplish the level 1 but it was a bit tough given the time limit. Having keyboard controls would have been a plus.

ghettobastler 2026-04-28 18:58

I really like this take on the theme! The system is pretty solid, and I think it could be the base for some interesting mechanics (maybe have the boat move accordingly, or having to decide which message to send). I agree with some of the previous comments: I think keyboard controls would have been nice, but all in all this is a solid entry. Good job!

An idea with some juice. Something like numpad support, or a better code reference, and I think it would be even more fun.

harmadillo 2026-04-30 20:22

Good game. I only managed to complete the first level but had fun. Having all the codes visible in some way rather then having to scroll I think would be nicer. The music was nice and nautical.

Poor sailors if they actually communicated like that in real life.

The way of expressing the theme through flag display seems very interesting and it also reflects the cultural exchange between different countries. It's really well thought out! The music also fits perfectly.

Really cool and unique concept that's well executed. It took me a couple of tries to fully get the hang of things but once I did it was smooth sailing(pun intended). I liked the background music too, as well as the detail of it speeding up as the timer ticks down, that was nice. A couple of other comments mentioned numpad support, or keyboard support, instead of just using the mouse, and I'd agree would make things a bit smoother but other than that I thoroughly enjoyed your game, well done.

rexpeppers 2026-05-05 01:25

Fun! Maybe for levels, you could do different types of semaphores like signal lights or smoke signals or hand flags telling planes how to land...

w2k 2026-05-07 10:47

Good game!So finally it tested my memory...
