I like the machine. its like doing the math solution. good for my brain. Better if have the save button if wants to move back to last step.very old tech. the art style reminds me of the rusty lake.

yorze 2026-10-18 22:07 ♥ 0

@daiiii you should do more, that would be even better for your brain

mugule 2026-10-19 07:02 ♥ 1

At first, I was like, "Hmm, okay, nice concept." But you really nailed the difficulty scaling! This is a good game with a nice concept! The music is just peak (not too heavy, but it really sets the mood for the game). I like your sprites too. Really cool brain food you've made here!

tweekus 2026-10-19 07:53 ♥ 2

Agree with @mugule - like difficulty. Good job.

Unreal engine devs must like it, haha :)

The game is awesome, love the every part of it: music (!!!), artstyle and cozy vibe overall. At first I couldn't figure out how to start the game, a little guide in the menus blank space is a must

evgenii-petrov 2026-10-19 09:51 ♥ 1

A nice, cozy puzzle game with a simple, compact concept that doesn't put you under time pressure. What's not to like? =)

Nice game you made. I did enjoy the initial levels, however, then I got stuck on the first level with the signals and I gave up. My brain is still too exhausted from the jam looks like. The art is nice, gameplay works great. The music is nice but then it gets repetitive really fast. I also found this little but in your font rendering:

@chuckeles tks for pointing out :D

This is really good. At first it reminded me of - https://egunan.itch.io/blueprint-hell Which is another great little connect-em-up! But then the game really came into its own with the later levels. Absolutely loved that you used the main mechanic as a menu system too and the audio is fantastic. Top marks from me here. From one "old tech store" maker to another, Great work!

tom-d 2026-10-20 13:45 ♥ 1

Nice puzzle design, I like how the 2 different categories.

At one point I got stuck because I didn't notice one of the blue terminal things.

danwhiffing 2026-10-20 15:21 ♥ 1

Nice puzzle game with solid difficulty progression! There was a bit too much yapping from the instructor, and some of the writing came across as llm output, but once I got into the puzzles I generally had a good time. The graphics could use a bit more clarity, they imply a more complex puzzle, especially since the game talks about "same color, same shape", but only color seems to matter? The audio is nice though, at first it felt a little too playful, but once the guitar came in, it felt appropriate. Nice work overall!

Really enjoyed plugging all the cables together and unplugging them all and then plugging them again and by the end I was spotting patterns and feeling clever oh yes. All work complete, now please excuse while I go find my old minidisc player and plug more stuff <3

fifut 2026-10-20 17:26 ♥ 1

At first I thought the menu wasn't working, but then I realized it was the game itself 🤦 Great puzzle game—the music is awesome and reminds me of the music in Kerbal Space Program 👍

yorze 2026-10-20 17:31 ♥ 0

@danwhiffing You pretty much nailed all the current issues with my game^^

yorze 2026-10-20 17:41 ♥ 1

@designernap Thanks for bringing it up! It’s a great game, and I did take inspiration from it because I thought there was a lot to explore with that mechanic. Really glad you enjoyed the later levels!

eugenik 2026-10-21 01:13 ♥ 1

The contrast between the warm, cozy setting and the highly precise nature of the cable-connecting puzzles is really enjoyable. It makes every logical connection feel satisfying, which is a wonderful feeling for a puzzle game. You've created a lovely little piece of digital brain-food!

wakanake 2026-10-22 01:09 ♥ 1

good relaxing puzzle. satisfying

marudziik 2026-10-22 07:16 ♥ 0

Why are there so many levels after this? I'm exhausted. ✌️

I think there's a good idea here, I've enjoyed the gameplay. I'm not sure if there were actually different shapes wire ends, connecting by colors seemed to always have worked. The later puzzles seemed genuinely more difficult, but maybe that's just me. The ability to zoom out was a pretty insightful add (I could also use grouping the devices and moving them as a group, if you ever work on a post-jam version). Enjoyed!

On a side note: the music is really good! Also, can you share the source, since this is a Compo entry? Cheers! edit: I noticed you opted out from music - I think this probably should have been a Jam entry then? See [rules](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/rules).

I really enjoyed this game! I finished it, my favorite levels where the completely unhinged ones in the end :)

It's rare for me to find a puzzle game in a game jam that I find well balanced and interesting. I think you did a really good job there. The concept is very simple, but it still gets really challenging in the end. You could probably expand on this quite easily with more cable colors and some connectors with unique effects.

Great job!

yourykiki 2026-10-23 22:25 ♥ 1

It's a good puzzle game, music graphics and mood are cool.

Puzzle are interesting and progressive 👍

I like cable games 😄

Might be my favorite game so far that I've played this event. But I also love playing around with geometry nodes in Blender or piping a bunch of processes on Linux. I had to enjoy this game! Also I agree with others that the graphics, music and sounds work really well together. Really nice experience!

ericns 2026-10-24 02:35 ♥ 1

I suck at puzzle games so i couldn't complete it, but i do love how even the menus are like the gameplay itself, only thing i'd change from it is making the dialogues skip to the end of the sentence if you click, but that's a minor complaint

yorze 2026-10-24 03:24 ♥ 0

@marudziik First of all thanks for playing through all the levels!! Your feedback was spot on :)

I checked the rules, and it looks like you're right. Do you know how I can switch it over?

yorze 2026-10-24 04:33 ♥ 0

@ericns ✌️ me being an evil dev and forcing everyone to read the rules

labicorne 2026-10-24 06:44 ♥ 0

I loved the concept ! It makes my think of a math problem I studied before (the capacity to flatten a graph) so it is really a pleasure to see this formal theorem into a game ! (I did the topology part of your game) The music is great btw !

(Sorry for my English, I'm not a native speaker ^^')

shanzpro 2026-10-24 07:15 ♥ 0

Extremely polished!

darkshadow 2026-10-24 14:18 ♥ 1

Nice concept, I got to where the game branches into two modes, but then manage to soft lock myself. I couldn't detach a cable, so then used reset and then it happened again and the reset button didn't work a second time.

It's nicely tactile I like the menu, however the whole having to drag a cable to progress in between levels is a little tedious.

Hard to describe but connecting things up was strangely satisfying it like you took a part of the Zactronics game Shenzen where you join up components. Please let me know if you do a post-jam bugfix as I would love to do more of the puzzles but at the moment I can't stand the idea of soft locking again and having to go through all the tutorials.

As @marudziik says the Compo rules say all assets must be created solo within the time limit, so please do switch over to a Jam entry, I think you can still edit your entry to a more relaxed category (see what buttons are enabled or greyed out), if not I think it does give some admin contact details to help.

yorze 2026-10-25 04:23 ♥ 0

@darkshadow Could you tell me which level this happened on and a bit more about what went wrong? A screenshot would be even better if you had one. Reset should clear the connections you've made and restore the starting setup. Some connections are already there when the level begins and are part of the puzzle, so those won't be removed by reset. Was it one of those, or did a cable you connected yourself get stuck?

Also, for anyone wondering about the entry category: everything besides the background music was made by me, solo, within 48 hours. However, this should be a Jam entry because I used pre-made, freely licensed background music. The format selection is closed, and I couldn't find any admin contact details because the Help page isn't working. I've emailed Mike to ask for help switching it over. I do want to follow the rules and get this sorted. Just waiting to hear back from Mike for now!

yorze 2026-10-25 04:29 ♥ 0

@labicorne Great you've got me curious:) I’m gonna look up the math problem you mentioned. btw I’m not a native English speaker either lol

darkshadow 2026-10-25 07:48 ♥ 0

@yorze it was the first source routing level, you might be right if that had a cable already connected.

alexandru-barbanoua 2026-10-25 21:15 ♥ 0

Really good game! Loved the vibe, the music, and the puzzles. I used to work as a sysadmin a while ago, and your game gave me some serious flashbacks! Really enjoyed the experience. Thanks for the game, great work!
