The game looks pretty good//// But starting from level 3, the puzzles suddenly became like 100 times harder, and I honestly couldn't figure them out without hints (or maybe I'm just dumb, idk)

Awesome, your game is magnificent! I had a blast playing it, really cool stuff!

Ohhhh I love the 4:3 aspect and the old-CGI esque sprites! Reminds me of early 2000s Pilot Brothers 3D games :) And also using the first bug in computer history is quite original

Hi! Really greate job! I like it!

The game was freezing for me, and there’s no explanation of how to use the "NOR" element.

sarenei 2026-10-20 04:50 ♥ 0

Very nice game. Fun mix of puzzles and platformer elements.

grateful-tomato 2026-10-20 05:04 ♥ 0

@blus7 Can you send a screenshot or describe where it froze? The NOR element is standard logic https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logical_NOR but good idea, I should probably describe all elements as well, like with a tooptip.

blus7 2026-10-20 05:45 ♥ 0

@grateful-tomato The game was constantly freezing for me.

grateful-tomato 2026-10-20 07:31 ♥ 1

@blus7 Sorry no idea, haven't heard this from other people. I tested it with Chrome on Windows and Linux, maybe a browser problem? But needs quite some resources, could be a problem if not enough RAM. But I also exported native versions for Windows, Mac and Linux, this should work without problems, this game page is updated with the new links for it.

Solid jam experience! Simple, intuitive, and very well executed. Left full ratings! We’d really appreciate it if you could test out Meow Bomb! too. For an updated experience with a working PC and fixes, check out the alternative build here: https://naiper.itch.io/meow-bomb-by-naiper

Have fun playing!

The Boolean algebra puzzles make you feel like a real engineer :) Great job!

The way you blended logic puzzles with the bug swatting mechanic made for a really unique experience. It's a great concept, and the retro aesthetic really enhances the feel of fixing an old computer. Fantastic jam entry!

slay-a-stone 2026-10-21 18:28 ♥ 0

The puzzles were fun and there was much to do, bit overwhelming at first with the fluff in the UI and the fact that the enemies started spawning immediately. Also a shame that everything is made by AI instead of your own creativity, but that is the future I guess.

The puzzles were really nice and a fun way to learn logic gates. I liked the combination of platformers and puzzles and overall the gameplay was really nice. I liked the graphics and it fit the theme really well :)

The game as a whole was great I have no complaints! I left full reviews good luck!

Hey, first of all nice work, you managed to have a polished game that works perfectly fine (I did use Claude Opus 5.5 for my own game as well, go check it out if you have a bit of time). The graphics are nice and there is an onboarding which is appreciated. Though, in my opinion, and I can read that some others disagree with me, the double gameplay was not needed. I felt that the logic part was way more interesting than the platformer part. I felt that getting bumped and falling down to the bottom of the level was annoying tbh and that the aiming was a bit off. Though, the logic gates part was really great. I loved the design, and the facts that you have the optimized setup written aside. I really enjoyed trying to find the solutions and the progression was nice (discovering AND then OR, then NOT, then XOR etc). As a programmer I knew them, but I can tell that you thought about people who don't know about logic gates and this is nice.

Overrall it was a nice experience, congrats for your work !

Very nicely polished game, I had a university curse about making electronics with similar logic elements so that was a fun throwback. I think I would of preferred if it's only puzzles tough, dying to a bug and having to run back to the next puzzle was a real chore.

Снимок экрана — 2026-10-22 в 23.10.14.png This is literally my own spaghetti code—I don’t even understand how it works myself. Then I discovered XOR, which allowed me to wrap it all up in a single node. It turned out great; blending a platformer with a "program your own game" mechanic is a really unique combination.

grateful-tomato 2026-10-23 03:50 ♥ 0

@dashvirus thanks for your review. Maybe a good idea would be that the player can choose to play the puzzles only, I'll think about it for an update.

Nice concept, having enemies right at the spawn is a bit hectic, and somehow I managed to go in a different route, I saw an armored bug before I saw the tutorial text one.

First puzzle I was a bit confused I didn't realize you could lay wires I though you hand to connect input and out with 4 connecting gates and was wondering why it only let me use 3 of them when I needed to bridge 4 squares!

I feel like this game has big potential. I think it belongs on Steam, not itch.io, because of its art style and music design.

I would strongly recommend adding shadows and fixing the main character's lag. Also, I didn't read any tutorials, I just started playing and got the mechanics right away. Good job! Thanks <3

grateful-tomato 2026-10-25 11:09 ♥ 0

@nesmon Thanks, I think Steam might be a good idea. Where to add shadows? I checked other jump and runs like Hollow Knight, and looks like they don't have shadow, but some interesting light effects. Also where did you have lag?

I managed to finish the game, which reminded me of Turing Complete. I have just two observations: it would be helpful to have some documentation for the advanced modules. Also, regarding the final printer, the name "praying mantis" was cut off on the right side of the screen. Other than that, it’s an incredible game for a game jam entry!

woona 2026-10-27 15:48 ♥ 1

For me, the game feels like 2 separate games in one.

The platforming feels good with a couple caveats. The character constantly flipping in air is a bit distracting. And camera strictly follows the character which makes it move up and down when you jump.

I didn't find collecting gates into pocket meaningful, because I had so many of them. The enemies didn't feel very threatening too, more like a nuisance.

As for the logic gates game, it's bit weird. In a puzzle game, I want to feel like the puzzle is unsolvable the first moment I see it, but then figure out the solution and feel an 'eureka moment'. In this game you either know a solution or you don't. Actually, if you're stuck you can just search for solutions online...

The first few puzzles are pretty simple and even if know nothing about logic gates, you can figure them out on your own. But afterwards, the puzzles start combining gates that you constructed previously. So the player is required to remember every puzzle previously solved exactly.
