Overall, I really enjoyed the game. The rabbit chase was a little tricky, but not too bad. As for the puzzle, once you figured out how it worked, it was very easy, but still fun.

jezzamon 2012-08-28 04:51

Ah... that jump from the two moving platforms was too hard, so I gave up...

Impressive graphics though, and pretty fun

davedobson 2012-08-28 05:12

Beautiful, fun, and well made. The 3D looks great and is easy to control. The platforming in the 3rd room is a bit annoying; I also gave up trying to do the jump between moving platforms after several tries getting up there - just not worth all the work to make it back up to try a low-percentage jump. I wish I could finish a little more easily. But I'm very impressed; really great work.

r3d5 2012-08-28 05:22

Very awesome! I love this entry

buttercupsaiyan 2012-08-28 05:23

The many options are very much appreciated!

Aww, I couldn't catch the bunny. I'm trying the other rooms. There's a lot of narration at the beginning and text going on while I'm playing.

Most impressive LD game I've played yet. Everything was very solid, and amazingly refined for so little time. I got to the moving platforms in the third area, the one with the jump boost on it, then boosted into the platform above me, from below, and fell to the bottom haha. Gave up after that. Great game, amazing work.

sampyxis 2012-08-28 07:05

I liked this game - I really like that you did a 3D game for this short jam as well

devaki 2012-08-28 08:49

I liked the art! Nice gameplay!

nebelig 2012-08-28 10:29

It looks awesome, but there is a lack of background music.I wish the sound were great as art and gameplay.

spotlightor 2012-08-28 11:24

I'm not good at puzzle, so I give up at the tortoise quest. Great graphics and good game overall!

mvincentjacobs 2012-08-28 12:46

I love it, i love the graphics and the gamestyle

chipcaramel 2012-08-28 12:50

I had a lot of fun with this. Outsmarting the rabbit was fun, as was the puzzle bit. The platforming scene was a sudden increase of difficulty that made me unwilling to finish playing. But for what I did play, I severely enjoyed myself. I'll try the jumping puzzle again later. Awesome job!

jonathang 2012-08-28 13:05

I liked the realisation of what I was supposed to do in the tortoise room, it wasn't explained but I managed to figure it out :) The graphics look lovely!

someguy22 2012-08-28 14:57

I couldn't understand what to do, is the tortoise room supposed to be dark? And I couldn't catch the rabbit either... It felt like the running animation could've been more realistic (like his torso leans in or something) and he should've had a jump animation, but I understand if you didn't have much time.

samoojamies 2012-08-28 17:34

Fun little adventure.

walt 2012-08-28 20:55

one of the graphically more appealing entries. gave up the chase as well.

eyehawk 2012-08-29 06:52

Great look and style! I couldn't catch the rabbit though..

depp 2012-08-29 10:28

Love it! Gave up after falling, trying to land on the platform that has sunlight falling on it. Just too much to do over when you fall from there. (My game has the same problem.)

codexus 2012-08-30 00:43

Thanks for all the great feedback so far!

@RobProductions, it's a little bit dark, like on the screenshot. You should be able to see what's going on.

If you get stuck at the rabbit chase, don't just run after him, outsmart him by cutting ahead, try different approach directions.

For the difficulty of the platforms, sorry I couldn't add some kind of check point mechanism.

rxi 2012-08-30 09:13

As others have mentioned the game looked great, but unfortunately the lack of option to invert the mouse made it incredibly awkward for me to play, and by the time I got to the third level it ended up annoying enough to give up.

Not providing an option to invert the mouse seems to be an on going theme, I've encountered only one entry which does let you do it. To get an idea of how it feels (assuming you're a naturally uninverted-mouse person), try playing a game with mouse inversion turned on.

juaxix 2012-08-30 09:53

This can be an AA or even AAA game!
I love the paradox of the rabbit xD ...remember mario galaxy 1?
Tell us the truth, in this big - high quality contest, Did you expect the players to go on top the jump tower and then go further and exit the map, to end in the roof and finally over the boss?

lol, love this game ,thanks!

codexus 2012-08-30 13:31

Hahaha, you win, juaxix :D

darkshadow 2012-08-30 14:09

This is by far the best 3D graphics I've seen yet. I had to play a lower quality version so I can't rate the textures but the movement was fluid, lighting was good and the puzzles were fun but the platform jumping a bit too tedious. Then the camera controls and movement were faultless, no easy feat given the number of games which get this horrifyingly bad.

capgrip 2012-08-30 19:26

Great graphics, we like specially the shaders and lights. The puzzles are fun. Great job.

bumpkinrich 2012-08-30 20:40

One of the best looking games I've played by far and also captured a great mood. Loved the floating head. But I gave up the chase too I'm afraid.

rodrigomotta 2012-09-01 01:21

Fantastic. I cant solve the "orange" puzzle but doesnt matter, its a great game. Congrats.

entrusc 2012-09-01 12:48

really good game and visuals!

matthias_zarzecki 2012-09-01 13:21

Well, that is quite impressive. Nice work!

Also: Too. Much. Bloody. Text. This is not how you convey a story while I want to jump around and do shit.

chumez 2012-09-01 13:46

Great graphics, but only expected of Unity. I've solved the first two puzzles, but got frustrated with the jumping one in the tower. I'm gonna try again later, I got to know what's up there :D Good game.

chumez 2012-09-01 14:51

Passed the game! :D One suggestion though, a checkpoint midway the jumping puzzle tower would be of great help. Because I fell at least 10 times total.

jplur 2012-09-01 17:23

Amazing graphics, one of the best 3D entries!

adventureislands 2012-09-01 21:07

Whoa, really nice graphics and game for such a short time, finished it and the last area was very intence, fortunately I didn't fall at all. This could be very interesting as one big long game. Only thing I didn't really like was the weird jumping sound that didn't really fit with rest of the game.

kinokochan 2012-09-02 00:45

The mood and tone is great! Loved the lighting and cloth sim effects in the main room.
I liked the ambient music a lot, too, though the sound effects (for jump, etc.) felt a bit odd when juxtaposed with that.

The Falcon's Nest puzzle was very well tuned and just challenging enough to keep me trying. I got a real sense of satisfaction when I finally beat it!

Overall, amazing work! Good job!

clowerweb 2012-09-02 02:26

This is a really good game - I enjoyed it a lot, thanks!

maple 2012-09-03 03:25

Amazing presentation. I gave up on the jumping section, but I did make it a fair way up (to the part where you go on a platform moving around the room in an arc with an orange pad on it). I didn't think the jumps were too hard or anything in themselves, but I thought it was too annoying to do all of that progress again to get back up, so after some falls from high places, my patience started to speedily drop. But yeah, other than that it's a really good entry. As someone else said, a checkpoint half way up the jumping section would have worked wonders.

pansapiens 2012-09-03 10:21

Wow, stunning polished graphics. I figured out the disco puzzle without any problems, but I'm a little embarrassed to say I couldn't catch the rabbit (brings back memories of Super Mario 64). Great atmosphere - all round amazing game for a 48+24 hour effort.

monomanio 2012-09-03 21:52

Neat :)

norgg 2012-09-07 12:26

Nice entry, really good graphics and the tortoise and the hare were decent challenges. I didn't get on with the 3D platforming though, it's something I don't really think works well as a challenge in general (with perhaps the one exception of Journey).

pekuja 2012-09-07 12:35

I like the visuals, and I thought the animals were a nice touch. The connection to theme was a little bit weak unfortunately. I liked the first two rooms more than the third one with all the platforming. The platforming physics didn't feel that good, and I fell down lots of times and had to start over. Small moving platforms with jump pads were especially tricky for me.
