Wow, this is such a cool concept. There are still a few kinks to be worked out I think, I walked through the front door into an eternal free fall... Really great idea though, I'll have to check it out on my girlfriends Nexus 7 tomorrow.

dr_soda 2012-08-28 02:18

Huh, I could have sworn I'd closed that door off before I pushed it up to the web. Hope it's not against the spirit of the rules to double check that and patch it up..

benderbinary 2012-08-28 03:45

This is brilliant!

hamster_mk_4 2012-08-28 04:01

The game hung once on the post start loading phase. It worked on the second try. This was in interesting use of the render to texture tool.

axcho 2012-08-28 04:02

Great concept, I enjoyed the change of perspective - didn't quite see the connection to "evolution" though... Navigating the rooms was a bit clumsy, especially without the ability to back up.

Cool to see a more storytelling-focused approach pay off. Nice. :)

2creative 2012-08-28 04:04

I liked the look of the game. I did not like the movement of the character.

johnfn 2012-08-28 04:10

This seems really cool, but after we arrange where to go next there seems to be nothing else to do except repeat the scenario. Did I miss anything?

dr_soda 2012-08-28 04:16

johnfn : You missed nothing. This was what we managed to get through in the allotted time. The game deserves a really detailed post-mortem, but more than that it deserves post-compo work.

r3d5 2012-08-28 05:34

Super cool! I would really like to see more of this. The concept of using your phone as a magic lens was a very cool idea. Loved it.

johnfn 2012-08-28 08:46

Alright. It's a great idea, and I'd be excited to see it developed more!

eyehawk 2012-08-28 12:11

Quite an interesting concept - I was hooked by the mysterious setup. However after I talked to that lady, I couldn't figure out what to do next...

krobill 2012-08-28 23:10

The begining of something with potential.

devoreuk 2012-08-28 23:12

Nice idea. I'd love to see it on the phone I'll give it a shot later. You should definitely keep working on it, I'm very interested in how it turns out.

imef 2012-08-28 23:21

I love the concept! With a tiny bit of polish, It would be awesome!

mes 2012-08-29 05:46

Interesting concept, but ultimately it was a bit too vague for me. I liked exploring the house, but I felt the smartphone part was a bit odd -- I'm left wondering why you chose to make a 3d game have a dating flashback sim text adventure?

I played it on the web, but it sounds like the android turning around would be neat to try.

Anyway, good work.

benjamin-soule 2012-08-29 07:14

I tried to bring her back the book but it didnt change the dialogs... Is there more content than this ? Anyway, I Think your game idea is gold and deserve more work than a 72h jam. I regret I dont possess smartphone to use it at its full potential.

kinokochan 2012-08-29 23:47

Short but sweet, and a really cool concept! The environment models were also very impressive considering the short time frame.

I would love to see a post-compo version some time, because this is just too interesting not to follow up on! :D

alvivar 2012-08-30 06:26

Awesome concept/idea!

switchbreak 2012-08-30 06:32

Really interesting idea. I couldn't seem to pick up the newspaper which it seemed like I needed so I got stuck, but I like the concept.

darkshadow 2012-08-30 15:09

Interesting concept, this has potential. At first I didn't get what the force close was about, I thought I had made some sort of mistake. Then once you reload the app it goes really weird, like your still holding the books (which you can drop). Add some more story and fix the bugs and this will be awesome!

dalsgames 2012-08-31 14:29

Cool game, some bugs but very well done for just 72 hours! :D

mohammad 2012-09-01 01:17

reminds me of facade

feyleafgames 2012-09-01 02:19

This was really cool. I ran it on my Droid Pro, which is a little outdated and has crummy screen resolution. Due to other hardware problems, the scene kept flipping around and jumping, but I'll assume my character was just drunk.
But seriously, the game seems like a solid start to something that could work well. It's interesting to be on the phone on a game on my phone!

dr_soda 2012-09-01 02:48

Feyleaf : it is unfortunately a problem common to moto droids. My droid 3 has similar issues. I have a solution but it will make the rotation a bit less smooth on the current set of devices on which it works super nicely.

I won't leave us droid owners out in the cold post compo :)

eli 2012-09-01 09:15

Very, very cool concept. Using the phone to "see" what was in the room was refreshing and quite creepy. As mentioned in other comments, the movement was extremely frustrating. Also I'm glad I read the other comments before trying every possible permutation of the dialog trying to "fix" the past when it cannot be fixed =)

shind 2012-09-04 10:36

Very cool concept, I think you really could do something with this. Nice visuals too, the clean textures work well. Few technical issues though

zener 2012-09-04 11:52

Very innovative idea and nice visuals. Could become a full game for WiiU.

someguy22 2012-09-06 21:58

Really great idea, however there's a few bugs (like the fact that in one "world" you go through things) and it needs a proper ending as well, but otherwise well done!

the-jack 2012-09-10 05:15

There is a ton of stuff going on here. So much content for such a short dev period, really really well done.

Hope you take this to a full release.

pansapiens 2012-09-15 23:53

Whoa ! You are messing with my head ! Love the 'completely augmented reality' thing.

kevinworkman 2012-09-16 22:35

Wow. This really blew my mind. It was extra creepy because a coffee table in the game was placed exactly where it was in my living room. GET OUT OF MY BRAIN. I can't wait to see what else you come up with.

puzzlem00n 2012-09-16 23:55

That screenshot of the description of the magazine... Can you not do that in the unity version or something? I don't know.

Basically, I like what's here. It's a pretty cool concept, even if I don't get to see it on a tablet all augmenty-like.

dr_soda 2012-09-17 00:14

Puzzlem00n : It's been a while since I touched the webplayer version, but I think what happens there is that you can't actually get close enough to "touch" the magazine without the ability to pivot the camera down, which you can't do in the webplayer. I can't say it's something I'll spend much time on, as I'm focused on the mobile version.

Kevin: I was hoping you wouldn't notice that I took the blueprints from your house. ;)

Dark Acre: I'm workin' on it. :)

timtipgames 2012-09-17 07:16

Very nice concept! I love the recursive phone in a phone(tablet) concept. The font was a little hard to read on my transformer (tf101). When I was playing this for the first time I was sitting in the waiting room of a doctor I was about to see. After turning around a bit, I decided to better play this at home. People were already looking at me as if I was crazy (or came from the future). Again: Virtual augmented reality is a pretty nice idea! Keep up the good work!

iandioch 2012-09-17 18:56

Interesting concept. Unfortunately it couldn't pick up the accelerometers on my phone (Android 2.2 "Froyo") so I had to play the web version, which was undoubtedly not ideal.

There were a few glitches (Em kept restarting talking to me when she had went to get the drinks, and she was occasionally invisible and/or teleported to next to the fridge.

Also, I picked up the book, and then couldn't put it down anywhere...

But I think this is promising. It wasn't perfect, but it has potential.
