Sausage Gobbler by Entity2D 2013-08-26T22:17:00
Good Job, I really like the way the levels transition between each other. I failed about 5 times on the first level thinking I needed to pick up each sausage. :)

I really dug this. Great twist on the catapult style game. This is one of my favorites so far. Great job!
link doesn't seem to be working right now.
Man that art! I love the intro and the animations on all the characters. Rated very high! Pretty impressive how polished this experience is.
The only thing I didn't love was the 10 second timer that felt a little arbitrary. It seemed like that was placed over a really cool game to make it fit the theme.
This was my first 5* across the board game. Plays incredibly well and is legitimately fun. I would play a much longer version of this. Reminded me of the animations in the old WarioLand games. Great Job!
It's almost annoying you did that in 5 hours. :-) Great Job! Really fun and the feel of the collisions with other cars is spot on. I would play this on my iphone for an embarrassingly long time. I would say it is too hard but for a 10 second game I would say it ramps up perfectly.
Really liked this one. A little confusing control wise but once I figured it all out it was fine. This felt like a great start to a bigger project. I would love to play more.
Wasn't able to get the first level unfortunately. Tried a bunch of times but I must kind of suck. :) I like the idea of planning my path through the space.
Nice Gameplay and character animation. Bonus points for using Impact :) Very cool! Got it rated just under the wire.
Really liked the idea of the timed stealth platformer. Sticking to walls to avoid cameras is pretty stressful when your trying not to explode. Had a little trouble with the wall jumping controls.
wonderful style with great music. One of the more heartfelt LD games I haveplayed. Great job!
love the style.
What a title :) Cool idea, I like that the controls were all keyboard. The entire thing was a little cumbersome, kind of like setting up a real network! Good Job.
Seems like a cool idea but I was a bit confused. I really liked the audio presentation a lot. Maybe a tutorial could help ease me into it.
very cute. Reminds me of a minimalist Pokemon Snap. Good Job!
I really dug this. Hilarious concept well executed. You started feeling the pressure instantly.
Good concept, great presentation. Dug this one. Great job!
That was a really cool concept. I found the level just a bit too dark. I couldn't 100% tell when tiles were falling int he second level. Still this was one of the more original ideas I have seen from the LD. I really liked being able to just replay my past moves but sometimes the results weren't what I expected. Would have liked a reset move button to just wipe the queue. Very cool game. Great Job!
Dig the overall aesthetic. I was a little overwhelmed when first booting it up but once I parsed through all the text it started clicking. Good job!
Awesome use of the theme! Really fun little game. :) Great Job!
Really fun variant of snake. I would love a local mp version of this!
very fun game. I liked that wasn't just a straight up runner and that I had more control over my character.
Game isn't loading. I get an error saying Chrome couldn't find www.idovoodoostudio.co.uk
WOW! So much style. The gameplay perfectly fits the theme and everything from the great pixel art and unusual frame size stand out to make this one of the most unique games I've played so far. Great Job! This is my first game that I've given 5 stars to.
cool game! The entire thing is insane, I love it. If your into games about pee you should check my game out too. :)
Cool idea, I wish the interactable zones were highlighted in some way. Cute Music and art. Good Job!
Really dug this one, Great job!
This was great! I loved the pokemon mini game. Pretty awesome how many game styles you were able to implement so quickly and they are all pretty fun. Loved the kind of sideways VVVV game.
Really like the pirate sprite and the animation on the water tiles. It's an interesting idea for a puzzle game. Wish it would have had keyboard controls as well.
Very very cool. The controls are spot on. You always feel slightly out of control but when you fail it still feels like it is your fault. Great job on the art as well. Very cohesive experience.
Wonderful graphics and audio. I felt a little confused about what I was actually trying to achieve. Still a very interesting idea and that is what LD is all about. Good Work!
Not loading for me. Seems like a cool idea though. I'll try again later.
I love the cute little dragon. Nice Game :)
Cool Idea. I had trouble getting past sections that required precise platforming, I'm not skilled enough for your game. :) Still really well implemented. Great Job!
If mood is what you were going for that great job. I love that the Phosphorescence light up and the physical based particles that pool up on the ceiling are great. Really felt like it needed some moody audio to go along with the visuals.
The visual of the balls merging is really cool. Without the time limit this would be really relaxing. I played the windows version but I imagine this would be even better on a touch device. Great Job!
That was great!
Thanks everyone for taking the time to play my game and for the great comments. I'll be sure to rate everyone of your games as well. Can't wait to play them!
@ pbdiode, Thanks for letting me know. It looks to be working now. If anyone else sees this please let me know. I think it is a dropbox issue. I'll look into hosting it from another site tonight.
Sorry to anyone who is getting the 404 errors. It works most the time but occasionally Dropbox seems to go screwy. I think I am going to pay to host somewhere more stable. This is my first HTML5 game I've made public so I'm working out the kinks. :)
Great mood and really dig the background tiles. Good Job. Not totally sure how it fits the theme.
I really liked this concept. The moment that totally sold me was the gravity change. I died almost instantly once that happened but the shock of it and how I scrambled to recover was really fun. Having so many lives kind of takes away from the feeling of trying to play perfectly but other than that it very very cool. Great Job!
well execute. I like the touch of seeing how many tries it took me to reach the end. Works really well with the theme. great job!
I really dug this. The level design really started clicking a few levels in. Surprisingly challenging. My one piece of feedback is that the camera recentering on the character after every teleport was a little frustrating when I was trying to line up my next teleport. Great job. This is one of my favorite games I've played so far. :-)
Great Job! I wish that i could combine running with spinning my staff. I was also a little confused when I had a period where run was in cooldown. I loved the ragdoll on the enemies.
Cool little game. Played the first few levels and then skipped to the end because I was overconfident. :) I was quickly defeated. Good use of the theme.
Great atmosphere. Wished the fish controlled a little tighter. Dug the water reflections. Good job!
Cool Game. I like the way you used the theme but still made a larger game.
I felt pretty terrible watching those little penguins die. :) I really like the random events. Great Job!
Very solid game! I really like your dueling mechanics. I've played a few dueling games this LD but this one had the most unique implementation. Also very nice art. Great Job!
Love the music and sfx. I was a little confused of how to 'win' but I still found it enjoyable and relaxing. good job!
alright, that was pretty intense. :) Good job. Its kind of odd that a typing simulator had my heart rate increasing. Great job!
Funny use of the theme.
Alright, this was great. I really liked how simplified the controls were. An amazing amount of depth for a 48 hour game. Great job!
I really like how simple this is while still providing a good challenge. Good job!
Cool game, loved all the weapon variety.
Fun idea. The shop adds a lot of replay and the music is great. Which the collision with the bombs was a little tighter. It is really hard to thread the needle once more bombs start showing up. Great job!
I really liked the level where I had to throw my gun over the wall. Cool idea and well executed. I could have kept going playing more levels. :-)
HA, that was pretty funny. I did mute your song but I listened to it a few times. :) I love some of the random events, especially leaving your burrito in the microwave. I was super confused constantly though. I just kept randomly flipping switches, but that's what I usually do in an emergency. Great Job!
Cool idea. It felt like the arrows should disappear between scoring intervals. The game became really easy the further I got into it. I could see this being expanded in some fun ways with different types of traps and different colored dots that require different strategies. Good job!
Cool idea reusing the same space with different control schemes. I felt like at some point WASD stopped working and I had to switch to the arrow keys. Was that intentional? Nice touch when it zoomed in tight and I had to use my memory to reach the goal.
This was wonderful. Right up there with my favorite games from this LD. The SFX add so much and for such a simple game I had to play a # of times to get to the end.
Really nice art. Would be great if there was a little more synchronicity between the music and the beat.
really good, best game I've played so far. Great job! Really impressive Jam game.
Love the reusable weapon mechanic. Peter Jackson's King Kong had combat kind of like this and I always thought it was underrated. Good Job!
soooo hard! Really funny concept and well executed. Controls felt a bit sticky when I would transition between tying my shoes and moving forward, got me caught a few times. Love the art, great job!
Really polished art. Found aiming fairly difficult since each additional weapon seemed to be added on and random angles. If you continued work on it I would say the #1 thing to help the feel of the game would be hit reactions to the player and enemies. Overall great job. Polished art, audio, and an interesting design. Very impressive!
Kinda hard to control with the mouse and the offset camera makes it hard to know if your lined up correctly with a gate. I did really enjoy the music and the boost when you go through a gate, good job!
Fun little puzzles, I really liked it a lot! I enjoyed how you were able to scale them in difficulty and keep twisting the core idea. I also liked the ability to "rewind", its a great concept, good job!
Wow, that was hilarious and fun. Great Job!!!
Great graphics, intro was a bit long. If I could manually advance the txt bubbles that would be a big improvement. Might be able to make it a bit clearer that you should be going further into the level to get a 'better' lady love. Cool game, great job! Would be fun if I could play as a viking women and search for hunky men...Maybe in NewGame+ :)
Congrats, your black ghost ball totally made me jump. I had opened so many doors to zero fanfare that I was very surprised. Wasn't sure what to do past that point. Great job, especially for learning so much along the way.
Funny idea, really liked the music and pencil sketch art. Biggest complaint would be that after awhile it became easy to pick out the gifts. More presents please! I dug it, good job!
Very nice mood, love your color choices.
beautiful art and really atmospheric sound. good use of the theme. Even with the prediction dash I had a little trouble planning my path.
Rocket controls feels nice and I like the subtle motion when you move.
Really dug this one. Great job on all fronts. Tutorial was really useful. Took a bit to get used to controls but the landing on planets mechanic made the initial cumbersome feel totally worth it. Excellent!
love the colors and the rope animation. Was kin dof lost on what I should be doing. Could have maybe used a little more tutorial but very interesting.
Love the title, too bad you were not able to get sound fx in. I feel like that could have helped sell more of the humor.
Pretty funny idea..
Cool art, I had a lot of trouble hitting the wolf with the axe, maybe you have a bug with the hit detection?
Pretty funny idea!
very strange, I failed a lot but I kept retrying. :)
that was crazy tough. Really like the concept. Always loved all the Contra wall climbing bosses and this is like a super difficult runner version of that classic gameplay. Did not properly beat in 3 life mode. Good job!
@srimech, thanks for the heads up. That seems to not be very common but I will definitely be keeping my eye out for it. Hopefully it was a chrome crash. :) Thanks for the feedback.
Thanks for all the great feedback everybody! We have uploaded a post compo release for anyone wanting to try out a slightly more polished experience.
@jdpalmer What web browser were you using? It might have something to do with your Unity web plugin being old (download the latest version here: http://unity3d.com/webplayer), we are trying to track this issue down and will put up a windows version of the game tonight. Sorry about that!
We have tracked down the random crash and it seems to be a Mac only issue. Apologies to Mac users, we are in the process of working on a solution.
very sweet idea. Loved the art and sfx. Thought the totally lack of direction actually really fit this design. It definitely got your point across. Nice to play a more contemplative game.
Would be great on a touch device. Only portion of puzzle solving I didn't like was the trial and error process of plinking each note before figuring out the sequence, especially trying to find the correct starting tone. Might make it too easy but a hint as to the starting color could be useful. Great job!
Interesting, would have enjoyed more choices. Thought the game was bugged in the beginning :) Really liked the writing.
Love the art!
Love the graphics, this fuels my Cookie Clicker addiction. good job!
Good job! I scored almost all my points on the second form. Felt pretty screwed once I was in the final form but I think that was the point. :)
Nice style, fits the theme well. Good job!
Cool game. Some obvious control issues but I'm sure you guys have every intention of cleaning that up. I actually did like the jetpack jump. The sequence where your jetpack up to grab the the pickups in the mine field was interesting, especially on the way back down. I was a little confused how the color shifting worked exactly so possibly some more explanation might be needed. Congrats on finishing, good job overall.
Also there is that saying about great minds... http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-28/?action=preview&uid=25189 We also made a very color focused platformer if you want to check it out.
cool game. really good use of the theme. Liked that the controls were simple but felt that they were a little unresponsive at times which got me killed. Fun getting ricochet kills! Great job!
Cool game. Loved how simple you kept it in terms of interface. I did get a little cumbersome with multiple customers.
Really liked this. I would love to be able to spec my character on the fly to reassign my one skill point and change the ability. Think you could make some really cool puzzles this way. Wasn't able to beat the strength character, thought I hit a dead end but wasn't sure. Good job!
Wow, I suck at this. :) That was really fun. I replied the tutorial so many times before I got the hang of it. Good job.
Its a small detail but I really liked the way you presented your menus. Nice amount of polish. Also liked picking back up my one bullet. Good job!
Really simple idea but it was surprisingly calming. Liked the deep breathing sound that came up after a few seconds. Mouse controls were pretty rough in the web version. Good Job!
Awesome mood and atmosphere! I loved how the camera slowly pulls back to reveal all of the different threads. Great music and little touches like changing the background color over time. It was hypnotizing to just sit there and watch all of the different threads going off in their own directions. I really enjoyed this experience!!
Awesome style! Nice effects for bullets, enemy deaths and camera. I had a couple of odd performance slowdowns but overall it was a really neat arcade shooter. Could have had a stronger objective which might have made it fit the theme better.
Very original, like the Katamari style art.
Awesome, really enjoyed the ship controls. The voice sound was pretty funny as well.
Great art and a fun teleport mechanic. An aiming reticule would have been nice, as well as some other gameplay challenges to mix it up. Overall a solid entry!
Awesome style, love the theme and festive setting! Chasing down those elves is incredibly satisfying (especially when you get a speed boost!)
