Managed to get over 2k on the last round! Nice entry!
channelling prayers to the gods by placing items on a grid, fresh setting, and the nile with the felucca looks lovely. only got through the intro so cant judge the combos yet. old tech link could be clearer
I enjoyed this! The game mechanics were clever and quite fun and interesting. I liked how some tiles affected the ones around them. If anything, it felt like I would have liked to keep playing when the game ended. I tried it both on normal and hard mode but couldn't really spot the difference. I guess the score targets were higher on the hard setting?
It would have been cool with an "endless" mode, where you would get a random tile each turn. I think it could turn into quite a fun puzzle.
Anyway, good game! Easy to understand and fun to play.
Here's a little piece of fan art for you :) Screenshot 2026-10-19 201217.png
@vidarn aww, thank you so much for the feedback. That's soooo cool that you even made some fan art 🔥
The game worked without any bugs on my end, the story was fitting and the theme aswell, obviously, cant be anything much older than runes and rituals xd
I think it would've been cool to have runes that influence the 'flow of the prayer points', if im not mistaken, its only "activate each rune 4 times" atm, paired with the plenty space one has it wasn't to hard to place runes where they work best, even without knowing what comes.
Maybe reducing the runeside to 3*3 for the 10 rounds would've been good, that way one would've need to manage space way more.
Also as mentioned before an endless mode for this game would've been great, with that the 4*4 would've started to get crowded aswell!
Overall a good entry and fun to play, just needs a bit more :D
Nice game. The mechanics are individually easy to understand but form a more complex mechanic together. So I can definitely see this getting quite addictive with a bit more polished visuals and sound.
By the way I liked the little boat in the background. Really nice that you thought about adding such details.
Easy to understand mechanics and fun game. I like the potenital you have here. I'm imagining items to redirect prayers into other rows/columns or other ways of changing the flow. Perhaps days of horizontal only, etc. This game is neat!
A really simple game, though I haven't seen anything like this before. I thought you have to use every symbol you are given, and at some point I was left with two vases and an orphan bird after placing a wave. Ouch. The scroll might be broken or something, it multiplies points by WAY too much, and I thought the birds are boosting each other? Anyway I liked the mechanics. It was a little too easy and short though
I think this is a good start, but the whole thing seemed a bit easy to me, even in "hard" mode. I didn't have any trouble getting super high scores by the end and never felt like I needed to remove anything. I would have also loved to hear some sound!
Interesting concept. I like how the different symbols interact with each other. Also, the graphics and small bits of dialogue give a strong sense of identity to the game. It would be interesting to have some way of changing the flow of worshipers (if I'm not mistaken, right now each space is crossed by four people). Nice entry!
Nice little puzzle, didn't seem to hard to reach the target scores though. Not sure why you'd need to clear the board even with less than perfect placement?
It was a simple yet innovative game. I absolutely love games like this!
A simple, interesting game! Keep it up. If you want to upgrade the game's graphics, you need to add shadows for your objects. If you want to make a huge upgrade in feel with less effort, you need to add SFX and music.
I did not understand well how i get 2k points for the last round, but nice puzzle entry. Maybe it could have been more dofficult so that we can't really win by placing things more or less randomly. Nice job !
Cool take on the theme, and an interesting twist on the place things in a grid game style. I couldn't quite tell if the order that things were triggered in mattered, or if the prayer points were triggering multiple things, but the number went up quite quickly so I guess I was doing it right. I did run into one issue where in the last few rounds any tile I put in the top-right corner of the board would just vanish, but that didn't stop my score from finishing the game!
This was a game design that I found myself thinking of a bunch of ways to have the mechanics change over time, like increases or decreases in the number of prayers that went through the board or tiles that only worked in certain directions. Not many game jam games open up so much design potential, great job!
You've got an interesting puzzle there! I would give it way more space, there's like 2/3 of the screen with a static image :D Have you considered an infinite mode version? On each turn you get an item to place, people come and go and you have to keep a certain amount of prayers to keep playing.
I played it on both difficulties, and it seems to have the same tiles in the same order. It could be nice with an option to randomize what you get to increase replayability.
I enjoyed the strategy aspect, but I wish there were more varied tile types! The board could be a little larger, as well. Lots of potential and a good foundation to expand on. Cool use of the theme!
quite a fun game! would have been nice if prayers would not come from all sides on hard mode at least.
generally a great game idea!
Nice puzzle game. Not exactly sure on how pray waves behave when passing thro stones, but each placement gets me more and more score.
Interesting puzzle game! I enjoyed playing, though I felt the main play area could use more than a third of the screen. Giving it more space might make it better. Nice entry!
