It was really heartwarming to see hand-painted asset, and I think the idea of working with clay and kiln was wonderful! I used only mouse, so the movement was slightly wonky - click to move didn't always work as expected and sometimes stopped mid-movement to the designated spot. Nailing down the kiln recipes felt nice :)

The assets are wonderfull! A walking animation could be a real plus! Great experience though ^^

Thankyou, I love what our artist @caleri created, so beautiful and she was super quick with new items!

I really liked the vibe and the atmosphere! The writing is so thoughtful and detailed, and the art is really a work of love. The sound effects felt satisfying and the music is very chill. It felt cute to explore all the different stations and tools that go into making a pot. A cozy game!
More animation work would have been a huge plus. Not just walking animation, but also little details and transitions, maybe an idle animation or two. The wonderfully painted outdoors level would have profited from spatial cues such a being able to walk behind the stones. The resource objects clearly have collisions enabled, it would have been nice to also have that for map objects. It's good that you made so many missions, but also a little bit overkill for LD.
Nice work y'all, I can imagine coming back to this and finishing the last few missions just to chill out a bit.

This was such a chill game. The art is great! I didn't quite get the trimming mechanic, but I guess it wasn't even needed in the game. Great entry!

Nice art! As feedback: Controls are not very convenient, but game looks interesting

Yeah we didn't quite finish trimming, it was meant to do more! Glad someone found it

I love the art but wasn't sure what to do, I was able to burn the black pot (or at least the fire lit but the pot didn't change state?) but the others wouldn't do anything. The controls felt a little off as well.

@darkshadow thanks for the feedback, there's instructions on the left. What device were you playing on, I've tried on multiple and it plays great on desktop and a little glitchy but playable on mobile.

Really cute game! I loved the art. If you want to polish it a bit further I might add some sort of outline or effect that shows on what you can click on. Took me a while to notice you can press on 2 different spots on the kiln :D

nice art, but too complex ux for me, didn't understand how to fire the furnace.

Finished all the missions! Still not sure why I can give pot back to owl for some additional work... I guess something that wasn't implemented due time limit?
First of - game looks very good. Loved sprites, even though there is no movement to them, they are still really cute!
Now about how you could improve upon what exist.
My first issue was that sound by default was turned off for some reason. Should be on by default, not sure if people look closely to those kind of things - they may assume that there is no music at all! Its cute, gives out good mood by itself even though its short.
I spend some time looking for wedging station. Had to restart multiple times due to me giving pots to owl by accident (he has some huge hitbox!). Simple-ish solution would be either highlight them on mouseover or write up names of stations in sprite somehow. Not all of us know how to do clay stuff :D we need bit of help there!
And movement... I am not sure why it was so inconsistent - sometimes it will slow down to a crawl in places it was bolting before. Sometimes pushing BOTH movement keys and mouse key would speed up the fox.. but sometimes it won't (i assume its a bug, but it was a welcome one still). Also I would randomly enter-quit workshop ALL the time. Some funny hitbox happening in there - Sometimes i would enter and quit at the same time. I guess it some angle I am entering from and it just triggers instantly upon entry. Not sure.
But it has good potential of cozy pottery workshop and its a nice change of pace :) Thanks for sharing!

Very cute art, music and theme! I agree with other comments that having a walking animation would make it even better. I've been stuck in the little quest after probably messing up with the order of things, and the furnace didn't want to fire up anymore: I guess a bit of instructions are lacking. Otherwise, a very cute enjoyable game 🙌

Thankyou all for the feedback, some of the things we didn't have enough time for in the Jam like animations with 1 artist.
There are a bunch of game breaking bugs I've fixed and usability improvements.

These don't intruduce any new mechanics, just make the existing ones more obvious (not perfect, as that would require some new art for hover overs etc).
Please have a second go if you didn't get to complete it and want to see more of the levels.
I set a few times for some of the levels, can you beat them?

a game with a fox !! Love it just for that already. The graphics are amazing and the music catchy. I was kinda sad the fox isn't animated when moving, and i don't know if it's a deliberate choice for the art style. if it is , i get it. Movement is smooth and controls intuitive. and i LOVED how the introduction to the game was written on your LD page above. Happy to vote then play this game a bit more :)
