Additional explanations for other players: If I get it well, you just have to click on parts of the "genome" on the "Pool" column, and wait until your modifications apply (happens once the pool fully appeared). Then build some workers/attackers to strengthen your forces :)

While the game feels a bit confusing at first indeed, the idea of setting genome parts to tweak the units strength is very cool. The only downside is the balance of the game: usually the first player to send some attackers will win the round, so it doesn't leave much time to strategy.

Very cool mechanics indeed, and a good take on the theme!

Once you understand how the interface works, the game is pretty simple to play. And despite this simplicity the player is faced with tough decisions, has to choose between multiples strategies and can also change his strategy on the fly!

Even if I disagree with "the first player to send some attackers will win the round", I must admit the game could use some balancing.
I guess this kind of game must be a pain to balance :)

Good job!

cool idea i didnt play to long but the colums on the right seamed a little confusing.

Once you understand what the genome columns are they are a really good feature. You can see your populations current gene and what the next one will be from any genes you've selected from the pool. This makes it quite innovative for a RTS and fits the competition theme really well.

What I didn't notice at first was the more positive traits you at the more a unit costs and I ran out of money and then the workers died and I was stuck. The game is very quick, though if you want to build up your workers make sure you have enough spare money to send a wave or two or fighters to stop incoming waves or you will lose very quickly.

The game is a fun little death match, though I'm not sure if the game lasts long enough for you to modify your units too much. What would be cool if you could write a 2-player version.

Its a shame you don't have much in the way of graphics, audio or humour so I can't rate those categories more than 1, but the game rates well in all the other areas.

One fix I'd like would be able to remove units from the queue.

If this would be developed into a full game, i think it could actually be very fun and interesting to play. The idea is very nice and fits the theme well. But at it's current state it's really confusing and unbalanced. Still, i think this is very nice for 48 hours :D

Very interesting game. I loved the strategy behind picking your traits for the next generation from the gene pool and having to balance the negative effects of some traits with the positive effects of others. However, I really did not like the colour theme, and it really strained my eyes just to play and to read the numbers. That could've used a lot of improvement.

I liked it! However, some audio would have been nice. I found the balance of resources hard to manage, and I usually ran out of resources or workers after a few minutes. The idea of a tiny micro battle is neat though. You should expand on this game :)

Very hard to figure out what's going on but an incredibly interesting and original idea. I'd like to see a fully developed version with some polish and more than 48 hours behind it.

Absolutely loved this entry, would love to play more in the future.

Nice RTS game :D! I love the simple graphics and the Genome system!

Took me a bit of time to figure it out, but it was interesting +funny when done. Couln't beat the IA though.

Cool. I really like the core idea, and the gameplay. It's pretty tricky to get the hang of. I couldn't always figure out why my workers were dying, and I don't understand why sometimes I can't build new units even though I had enough resources. Really though, I like the idea and execution - with a bit more explanation, and maybe some nicer graphics, I could see this being something really cool.

Excellent entry!

Interesting RTS idea. At first I didn't know what I was doing but when you understand how genome columns work fun begins.

Really cool idea for an RTS, I had quite a bit of fun with it. I'd really like to see it taken further, maybe with more than just individual pixels for graphics ^^.
